Julio used to work for One Stop Auto at the Corner of Crenshaw and Sepulveda and I trusted him to be a good mechanic until this happened, he was a good worker at Kims Auto shop next to Ricks Auto and Lube and San Franciscan Restaurant. He was a manager and a Mechanic for One Stop Auto until he moved and started his own shop on 1719 Abalone Ave in Torrance. He worked on my wife's car that we took it regularly for maintenance to his shop in Torrance, beside the fact, that Ricks Auto was next door, who I knew the guy, was asking us to bring the vehicle for service at his place, but we took it to Julio because we trusted him and was loyal to him. Everything started when my wife's car had a Electric issue with the back trunk, not opening the trunk with the remote, but it wasn't the remote battery and Julio said he can fixed it, and he did. Unfortunately little we knew he did a Micky mouse job repairing the wiring, cutting the electrical harness of the trunk and not soldering it properly. After 6 months, we find out that trunk wire harness he soldered not only didn't get soldered properly and the convertible top would not work because he didn't do a proper job. Good lesson learned not to give him any other job, but I still had faith in him went back to his shop to get this corrected in Abalone Ave. And he did my wife's car front brakes prior to visiting this problem with him as well. When I arrived at the shop and showed him the black masking tape, where other mechanics did not wanted to touch because it was obvious that someone worked on it, he opened the tape to see and fix the harness and soldering fell right in front of my eyes. Now came the issue, that we paid to fix the trunk latch is no longer working for the second time again. If he had solder it correctly the soldering should have stayed intact, besides the convertible top was not working now the trunk was not opening as well. He refused to fix his own soldering trying to blame on opening and closing of the trunk made it broke....then he said get a new harness and he will replace it, he said to fix $200, then he went back on his word and ask for $480 when I bought the part after a week, by this time as we had already fixed the same issue for another $400 prior. He is not a honest mechanic, and I would tell anyone to stay away from him. I understand he made a mistake, well correct it, or just tell that you can't do it, don't undo something you did prior and charge me again to fix the same problem. STAY AWAY FROM JULIOS AUTO SHOP. Such a pity, that I had to write this review because I don't believe in sabotaging someones business but I don't want anyone to caught for his sweet talks with pretending to be "Mr. Know it All". I did go to another Auto Electrical Shop in Lomita, and they did a wonderful job and now everything works.

Julio and his crew are great. When I first met julio at his Pryor work place, off the back he came off as a good guy and very knowledgeable. First off, congratulations on starting your own auto repair shop Julio, it’s been a long time coming. Was first referred to Julio from a friend who raved about how honest and reliable he was. Having multiple cars and company vehicles, something always needs looking after naturally and as we all know, the dealer isn’t always the first place we turn to when we think of honesty and actually caring about the customer. Found my old Mechanic again after not having seen him at his previous place. Really good to see him doing well, and thriving in his own place of business, and ownership.
