Kelsey is an incredible, thorough, and honest mechanic. Every time I have taken my car in he asks me what’s going on and does a thorough investigation until he finds the problem or knows where to start. When my A/C needed to be recharged, he also checked for a coolant leak I complained about. He found that my head gasket was blown and my block was cracked. He went above and beyond showing me exactly where the block was cracked and where all the coolant was leaking out and explained the dangers of coolant mixing into the oil and such. When I told him the A/C still didn’t work, he immediately got to work, checked every single switch, and hot wired the compressor so he could confidently conclude that the compressor was bad. He has made recommendations based on my driving style, and every time I’ve gone against his advice so far it has not gone well. He definitely knows what he’s talking about. I cannot recommend Kelsey and the rest of the mechanics at KP Automotive enough! Trust their judgement, and they’ll treat you well. Don’t trust their judgement, and they’ll treat you well then and when you inevitably end up back in their shop.

Took my diesel to KP automotive for the first time. I have been having my truck serviced by a well known diesel shop in Amarillo. With that being said, every time I took my truck to that diesel shop my truck would come back with multiple other problems. The last time I took it in for a clunking noise in the front end and it resulted in a $3,700 charge and didn't fix the problem at all. I then took my truck to KP automotive. They took a few hours and identified what the problem was. Scheduled the work to be done the following week. Huge thank you to all the mechanics at KP automotive for fixing my work vehicle. I will be taking my truck here from now on!

You want a honest mechanic. Well this is the place they were honest, trust worthy I took my truck in for a spark plug they only charged us for what time they actually spent on the truck and pointed out other issues that needed to be fixed. But didn't pressure us to get them done ASAP They spent time with us and explained everything in terms we could understand. I would highly recommend these guys I would trust my daughter's life in there hands.

Between my wife and kids, Kelsey has worked on 8 cars for my family the past 5 years and it has been a pleasure. He really cares about giving his customers options that don't break the bank with fast, quality service! Affordable and dependable car care is very hard to find but KP Automotive does it right. I won't take my vehicles anywhere else for scheduled maintenance or the occasional concern. No matter how big or small your issue is, they'll communicate different options before any work is completed and then take care of it, usually within a day depending on part availability. They are a hidden gem conveniently located between Amarillo and Canyon off I-27 east on McCormick Road. Go see KP, you won't be disappointed!

I genuinely believe KP is a trustworthy mechanic shop, and I will forever take my vehicle to these guys. They are fast, honest, and loyal. I brought my car in to get better gas mileage and Kelsey went out of his way to check things I didn't even know existed. Not that price is everything but KP Automotive was literally HALF AS MUCH as 4 other mechanic shops in Amarillo. I would recommend KP Automotive to anyone 10 out of 10. I would recommend K & P without reservation. These guys are the best wave of newer “old school” mechanics I’ve seen in a long time. They have the newest equipment available for all the latest models. And like I said, old school vehicles are not a problem for them. I have personally taken them a couple of different vehicles early 80’s models. They have done wonders to making them run correctly again. These guys are SOLID!! Thank you for the service.

Shane truly went above and beyond in his work on my car. Not only did he finish sooner than expected, but when I picked up the car he actually showed me the part itself that he replaced and walked me through exactly why it was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced. This was a first for me. Shane's also just a super good guy, really nice, professional, and a good communicator. My car's never been running better and I'm super happy with his work.

My Durango was having electrical issues and wouldn’t start . I was very skeptical on who to call and trust it with. I heard of a mechanic at KP his name is Jared that was pretty good at everything. I took my Durango to Jared not knowing what all was wrong with it and he had me back on the road before Christmas . My car has been running great . Highly recommend Jared as your go to mechanic. My experience was Jared is Very honest straight forward does quality work affordable absolutely won’t take my vehicle anywhere else !
