This place is awesome they have everything and then some. The customer service is great and friendly and they always get me with the 6 count glazed donuts on the way out so cruel lol!!! I will be a life long customer at this location. F.Y.I. try the soups and the prepack pasta dishes for on the go lunches you wont be let down...

I usually have a great experience here but I came here Saturday and got lunch and gas. The lady at the register was extremely rude when I asked for 2 separate orders one for our food the other for gas. Then proceeded to yell through the speaker that I needed to leave the property because I was finished pumping gas. I was eating in my car quick and tons of pumps were open. I was very uncomfortable.

Actually has amazing fried chicken and good deals for food combos for those that need a late night bite. Think my friends and I have gone here for late night snacking atheist several times this month alone. Staff have also been really friendly. đ

I love this store. They are very clean with a great selection of goods. Their bathrooms are the best of any gas station around. We get their fried chicken for dinner once a month or so and love it. It is always fresh and hot. I recommend ordering online with the app. It make it a seamless pick up.

This is the best all-purpose gas and convenience center in Ankeny. It offers a solid variety of items and some of the cheapest gas in town. It is clean and kind, and it is a good place to stop or have a snack. The small seating section works well also.

Well, this is getting to be a regular occurrence for us! Sunday morning now includes a drive to Kwik Star on NW 36th Street in Ankeny for a couple jelly bismarks. Always fresh, and if I haven't brewed coffee at home already, the coffee is great too, as it's freshly ground.. The store has everything. I swear a person could live on groceries purchased there. The usual: milk, eggs, bananas, bread, chips, but they have potatoes, onions, ground beef, I could go on and on. I haven't tried them, but I hear their fresh fried chicken strips are the best. Always a friendly staff, and on this morning, Heavenly waited on me and was SO pleasant. Good job Kwik Star!

I picked up a chicken sandwich, which I buy regularly. I opened it to put on toppings, and the patty is now about the size of a 50 cent piece. I left it. How disappointing.

No longer 5 Star for me. Kwik Star has just raised their prices on hot food items, by double! I live near and was a loyal customer. I would stop at least 3-5 times a week, but I will no longer be going anymore, as they are monopolizing the Des Moines area. Soon as you start to love it- they raise all the prices. I will not be going back and will find a new place to get gas. Fleet Farm is looking more promising for comparable gas prices.

Came in to get some dinner with my partner and pick up some tobacco products. Walked up to the register ready to pay, and the bald white guy at the register asked for both of our ID's. My partner didn't have theirs on them, so I politely said never mind. I understand it may be store policy to ask, so we left the store. I came back ALONE ready to present my ID. I was getting rang up by another cashier when the BALD white guy stepped in and told her not to sell them to me. I was confused, as I am of age ready to present my ID. I explained to them that I had my ID, but the bald white guy insisted. I was declined service at this Kwik Star.

Kwik Star has such a great vibe, like when you're on a road trip and see that large store in a small town that reminds you of an oasis in the desert. They have really good prices on stuff (some even beat grocery store prices) and they cook up a great selection of foods for their food bar. Staff has always been friendly and helpful too. Love this place!

Normally all the employees here are fantastic genuinely enjoy coming here, BUT today at about 10:32 pm there was a young man working the register who decided to be rude. I guess he asked me how I was doing and I didnât answer because I didnât here then he changed his tone of voice and says back cheekily âim fine too thanks for askingâ I just find that a bit rude honestly. Canât expect someone to hear you/ respond.

I go to this location a lot. Food is good. Staff is great! However, I have been there several times now and the car wash is frequently out of order. They push buying car washes when buying gas and run a lot of promotions for discounted washes. It doesnât do a lot of good when I canât get my car washed. It even stopped on me mid wash one time and I had to call the emergency number to get out. It is beyond frustrating when you are trying to get a car wash on your way out of town and it is consistently not in service.

Good store. I quit getting gas here. They don't have top tier gas anymore. They are friendly. The vibe is nice there. They also have a good selection of grocery type things which is nice. But I don't go for gas anymore. They used to be a Top Tier fuel station. They are not anymore.
