My favorite place to go. Great quality gasoline, price is usually cheaper than other places. Amazing drink selection from bottled, coffee and fountains. They have the best chicken in town!!! Rewards programs is awesome as well. If you haven't been. Stop in there some time and check it out.

Friendly staff. Nice selection. Lower prices on milk and eggs than most places. Store is clean but restroom could have used some attention. I am not holding that against them as usually they are clean. They weren't awful, just not up to their normal standards. They have a kitchen opened All the time. You can buy one of the pizzas they make and ask for them to cook it right then for you and they will happily do this, day or night. Love this place!

I'm just visiting and don't have a vehicle to use so I walked about 5 minutes away and bought milk eggs and enough to have to eat for 4 days without being too much of a mooch all for under $30.00 and also the pastries are irresistible so beware of the brownies they know your name.

Worst kwik star car wash ever. The thing is broken (the physical part of the car wash did not happen at all). What a waste of money - clearly the staff are not checking the car wash regular to ensure proper maintenance. Car looks the same as it did before the wash.

I had the bad luck of interacting with Jeremy recently, and I was thoroughly unimpressed. Unfortunately, I never saw this guy before, which made the encounter even more puzzling. What struck me most about Jeremy was his complete lack of politeness and his smug attitude. From the moment we interacted, Jeremy came across as arrogant and dismissive. His tone was condescending and made me feel belittled. I tried to brush it off as a one-off, but the more I reflected on our interaction, the more I realized that Jeremy's behavior was not just annoying, but actually quite vulgar. He seemed to take pleasure in being smug and superior, which made the experience even more spiteful. As someone who values good customer service and respectful communication, I was really disappointed by Jeremy's behavior. I hope he takes some time to reflect on his interactions with others and works on being more empathetic and considerate. More Thought: I would advise others to exercise caution when interacting with Jeremy, as his behavior may not be representative of the company he represents. If this type of conduct is tolerated at this company and if he is not a new employee but I hope that not the case, I will try other locations but in all likelihood will never shop inside or at a Kwik Star. First off I have not been to a Kwik Star location yet that the staff hasn’t been friendly or helpful. The on on Orlabor Rd in Ankeny Iowa is no exception. The employees are great and are very helpful. There is one employee that went above and beyond. She help me get the items I was looking for and brought them to the counter. Since I’m in a wheelchair, it would have difficult to carry them. After doing that, she came out side to the car wash to help enter the code. I could not reach it from my vehicle. Oh, the best of it all, she finished work and stayed to do all of this for me. She clocked out and stayed at least 20 minutes of her time to help me. That was more than excellent customer service, that was exceptional customer service. This location is lucky to have an employee such as her. Oh, her name is April and if you go there make sure she knows how great she is.

Gladly place five stars on this Kwik Star because they have mastered the meshing of a quality gas station with a convenience store that has everything that you might need, regarding if you are traveling, running errands, or seeking something to eat or drink at an odd time of the day. Clean, kind customer service, and a good rewards program. Their chicken is delicious!

Wow. My husband was treated poorly today. Some old lady came up to my husband and accused him of stealing the food he was eating. They profiled my husband because they didn't ask his coworker who bought food after him if he purchased it. This lady actually came out to his vehicle while he was eating. So ridiculous. I called management and complained. We will see if something is done about it. I'll update if I hear anything back.

Staff is friendly and helpful. There are consistently good hot food items to choose from at all the hours I’ve been there. I sometimes work late in the area and it’s been very helpful to have a place to grab a quick meal when every other option is closed for the night. This location does a good job!

Extremely clean, bathrooms were great and the food was excellent. This Ankeny location for Kwik star is exactly what I expect from the company. Terri Ann assisted me at check out and was fantastic. She was bright and positive with me and other costumers in line before me. All the rest of the staff were excellent as well, helpful and positive attitudes. It seems like they really enjoy their job. I will be back!!

I am a team truck driver I am huge regular at Kwik stars and today we have been very disappointed we went to two different locations and both locations messed up. The first location I had a roller item that was supposed to be discounted at the storey city,Iowa location I got charged full price and the employees don’t know how to fix issues and then the 2nd location went to oralabor road,ankeny and they had a sign for the pork fillets to be only 99 cents and was charged full price I addressed it to the employee the employee didn’t know how to fix the problem ignored the problem and just said sorry . I’m pretty sure there’s a law against false advertising.. just a heads up to everyone watch out for how the prices are marked cause there possibly not going to charge how they are marked !

Kwik Star has it all! I appreciate they carry E-85 gasoline. That's not the most common gas, so thank you. They also keep gas prices competitive here in Ankeny and wow I'm addicted to their pumpkin bread. Their choices in donuts and food are first rate, but I particularly like the moisture of the pumpkin bread and need to try more of their delicious items because everything I've had has been excellent. P.S. I wonder if the pumpkin bread comes out brand new on Saturday mornings. This isn't something I'm sure of, but it's particularly moist on Saturdays.

Love to go here for the convenience and excellent customer service. I haven't had any issues up until today. Got a discount quarter pound cheeseburger and there was a hair in it at least 2 feet long. No reason this should go unnoticed. Employees please wear a hairnet. My appetite has been ruined. Docked stars for that experience. I want to change my rating because I hope this location does better.
