Let me just say, best service experience I've ever had. If I could give them 10 stars I would. When I say that I've been to a few (dozens) shops in my lifetime, im being modest. Ive stopped at service centers, lube shops and body shops all over the country and this one was by far the BEST. Customer service runs through theses guy's blood and they truly care about their customers. I felt like I was talking to my best friends or my family when they were explaining the details about the repairs needed for my jeep. Their prices are extremely reasonable and they are very thorough with their work, ensuring the job was done right the first time

Somehow, my previous review from Nov 2021 was removed from Google. So I'm reposting it. Lakeside did a 'complete front end' brake job on my 06 Grand Caravan, and they charged me $841 (for just the front) and even used 'rebuilt' calipers. I'd had a '4 wheel complete brake job' done on this same vehicle in Feb 2020 for $800 at a Firestone dealer. But the calipers pressed through the pads and destroyed the rotors. When I complained about that high price, Terry, the owner, said, "Prices have gone up." I just recently had the same front-end complete brake job done on my newer 09 Caravan at an auto shop in Madison Heights for $400. This included all new lug nuts. Prices have NOT decreased in the last 2 1/2 years. So stay away from Lakeside Auto Care. They'll rip you off!! Terry responded to my review at the time that he could have "worked out a payment plan or given me a discount." He 'never' offered 'either' of those options when I complained about the inflated price. He never even offered me a senior discount! He was just trying to make readers think he was willing to help me... BS!!! I'd give minus 10 stars if I could. Per your recent response, owner, I DID state that Firestone did a 'complete' 4 wheel brake job in 2020. (read it again) That INCLUDED calipers. AND you never replied about the fact that you DID NOT offer any payment OR discount options when I left my first review. There's your apples for apples!!

Reasonable prices, honest, and will never try to upcharge you or sell you something you don't need. The people who work here are friendly, knowledgeable, and always seem to be in a good mood. I needed my brakes fixed last minute. When I brought it in, they said it might be a few days until they could get the parts in and get it done, but they called me that afternoon to say my car was ready for pickup! They even gave me a ride to and from my apartment. I've never heard of any other repair shop that does this!

I was referred this auto service by a colleague that once worked there. My interaction with the business was excellent. The service person was very easy to speak and let them know my concerns with my vehicle. They were very reasonable about the parts and service hours they charged. They replaced my front wheel bearings, plugs, wires and coils. Plus they bleed my brakes. The parts were about a buck higher than what I found online. They used all new oem parts. The shop was clean everything looked to be in its place. After paying for the services I made way home. I reset my mileage gauge to see if there was a change in my mileage. Yes indeed at 65 mph I got 23.1 in a 2017 f150 king Ranch with a 5.0 liter engine. Before I was getting 17 mph. The money spent was well worth it. Excellent service I will be back and I will tell more colleagues thanks so much.

Had to leave a review because i have brought my vehicle here twice in the last 6 months, first time was a repair on my spark plugs and ignition coil pack. When i got it fixed, they were able to get it done within a day of my bringing it which was great because being without a car is stressful enough. The cost was very fair and i was happy with the quick turnaround. Fast forward a few months later, i just brought it in due to similar issues and they were able to get it fixed before the end of their next business day. Parts happened to be faulty (no fault of theirs) but they got it all figured out by and warranty took care of the cost. I am pleased with this business and will definitely continue to use them in the future!

Charged me $80 just to look at my truck and then referred me to a “affordable tow company” lone star towing that charged me $80 to take the truck 3 miles. The quote was overpriced and also had unnecessary repairs added on and had them tell me all those repairs had to get done. A blatant lie trying to extort more money out of me thinking I would use their service because of my situation. But they refused to work something out with me even after explaining I’m having a financial emergency and now I’m going to be homeless for Christmas. Terrible company and greedy inconsiderate people.

Terry Cooke is hands down the best mechanic I’ve ever worked with. He’s not just knowledgeable, he’s honest and genuinely cares about the people who bring their cars to him.
