I took my car into Lavernes about 6 months ago because they were highly recommended to me. They replaced my battery, alternator, tie rod and a belt I belive. It costed me $1082, which was fine considering th cost of parts, and also fixed it very quickly. My husband drove it home and it ran great. But 3 days later when I got in it, it kept dieing on me. My brother in law called them as I was trying to start my car so the staff member could hear what it was doing, and the way he kept saying that it was fine before I took it, made me feel like he thought I did something to it. I was just informed yesterday that maybe it was just a bad part put on, and that it happens sometimes, no fault of anyone's. I don't know if there were any warranties on anything. So this is not a bad review on this company at all,because they did put alot of work and time into it, but also a little upset that I'm out of the money and still don't have a vehicle to drive.

Mom and pop owned business. They do great work there, such great work that they are always busy. That unfortunately means a usual week wait to get in but that also means, to me, that they are not looking for work to make money off of things that really don't need repaired. Been taking my cars there for over 20 years and absolutely nowhere else

Honest and respectful. They go the extra mile and I trust them to do the job right. I needed a flywheel repaired on my Mustang. He not only quoted me the best price, he was able to take it in immediately. Next day my car was ready to go even though it turned out my flywheel couldn't be resurfaced because it had broken into 2 pieces. He found the part and drove to Fort Wayne to pick it up and had my car ready. Drove like a dream after that and I have recommended him to anyone and everyone looking for a mechanic since.

I was hearing a noise in the front end of my dodge dually. Couldn’t find anyone in town to take a look at it without scheduling an appointment. Drove out to Laverne’s Repair. They were extremely busy but after a told them about my concerns they took the time to look at it and diagnose my problem and set my mind at ease so I could continue on my trip. Very friendly staff and super clean shop. 10 stars in my book. I will definitely use them for my repair needs in the future!

I have heard good things about LaVerne's, so I don't want to knock them too much. They have a beautiful facility and friendly staff. However....most places will check out your vehicle and give you a quote for free. Not LaVerne's. They charged my daughter almost $100 just to check out what the problem was with her A/C, then gave her a very inflated total price for if she were to have her car fixed there. My husband and my son and daughter had already priced out the part needing to be changed, and the total amount quoted was $700-$800 higher than the part cost. I get it that companies need to charge for labor, but $700-$800? If you get your vehicle fixed at LaVerne's, be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for it. We will never go there again for service.

I can't say enough about these guys. First time user, a forever satisfied customer. From the time I walked into the office door and met with these people I knew they were something special. When I picked up my auto, I was so pleased that what I asked for, which was no small job, was completed to Better than New specifications. They are very knowledgeable in so many areas of master mechanics. I will be back. In fact, I went back the next day to thank them again for their service. I haven't been here yet, but after reading another review, I think I'll ask them for my car care needs in the future. Hearing that they charge for diagnostics and won't just patch things up only to fail again in a year or less is encouraging. An AC is sensitive, and if it gets contaminated, it needs multiple parts replaced for a quality repair. Hearing all this makes me have confidence in their work. I'll see you folks when service time arrives.
