I went there to purchase two front tires for my wife's 1990 corolla after getting quotes online for tires (approx $55 - $65 before tax and balance etc.) The gentleman who assisted me said I needed to replace a third tire and that each tire would cost $88 before anything else was added. He explained that he didn't sell cheap tires 'like Walmart' because his distributors wouldn't allow him. I don't change my own tires because I don't have the equipment NOT because I don't know how or when to. This guy was neither friendly nor trustworthy so my wife and I got some Blue Dot doughnuts across the street and went home to find another tire service.

The guy in the office is nice. The woman is ok too. Mr Lewis is a bit cranky though. Would I go here if my company wasn't paying for it? No. But the office guy made me bump it from 3 stars to 4.

I came here in June 2015 and paid $87.50 total to mount and balance 4 tires I supplied. I went in again to get another set mounted and balanced and the owner quoted me $42/tire. I told him that was high and last time what he charged me. He argued with me even after I pulled up the receipt showing what I was charged. I get if your price is your price. But when I show you a receipt showing you what you charged me last time, don't continue to argue with me. Needless to say I will not be returning. Ever.

There are no words to describe how happy I felt leaving this shop, but maybe if I can explain what happened you will understand. There was a slow leak in my wife's tire as of 15 minutes ago. Since then the friendly guys found a nail, removed the nail, plugged the hole, pulled the car around and charged me less than 20 bucks. I have never been in and out of a tire shop so quickly or charged so little. This place made my day.

While exploring New Orleans, I picked up a nail in my tire. This place was very close to my location. They were friendly, fast and thorough. The mechanic even noticed that one of my bulbs was blown and was eager to replace that too.

Called for a tire. Said they had to order it but cant do it over the phone. So I took an entire day off of work so I could show in person. Just showed up and was told they can't order a tire. No explanation why. A tire shop can't order a tire after telling me to come in to order the tire... Trash business. Never going back. It would be nice if any of these businesses actually operated as advertised. Looks like the only thing you can get here is a crack rock so if you value your money and time , go elsewhere.

Lewis automotive was recommended and when I called, Collins was very clear with me about what to expect as well as their workload and timing. When I brought the car in, he and the other attendant were kind, direct and honest. They set to work immediately addressing things I didn’t know how to even ask about, and explained what they were doing. They are genuine people running an auto shop that is an awesome asset to the community and neighborhood. And in the end, the price was very reasonable for the fantastic work that was finished exactly when they said it would be. Would absolutely recommend.

This is the best, most reputable, honest, and kindest mechanic and shop owner in the city. Mr. Lewis is Amazing. My car engine got flooded out last December, and he did a full engine replacement, in addition to mold abatement and one of the best car wash interior bombs I've ever had the privilege of using. Also, his prices are really incredible. I am so incredibly grateful to Mr. Lewis. He can and will handle your insurance claims with grace and ease, fighting for you the smart way at every corner. He will also make sure to try and fix things in an order so that insurance keeps paying for a rental. Somehow, him and his team made my front bumper-that got dragged under the car by the power of the flood water and was scraped along the concrete by the tow truck- look like new. By some magic. I am truly in awe, and very grateful. We are going on 8 months later and I haven't had a SINGLE problem. I thank the friend who recommended him to my mom. Thank you Mr. Lewis! ❤️
