I have had electrical issues with my Subaru Crosstrek for about a year. I took it into the dealer I bought it from, and they botched the fix. Being a salvage title, Subaru wouldn’t work on it, and other shops didn’t/wouldn’t find the issue. M1 was able to locate the issue on the ABS wiring and had it fixed in a little over an hour. They ended up pointing out a few other issues that I was unaware of that I had them fix. Their communication was great. The quoting process was very clear and their online tool made it easy to select the work I wanted done. Pricing was very fair. They have followed up with me since getting my car back to make sure everything is working properly. I will be using them in the future, I was very impressed with the service.

The owner was so great! We rented a U-haul trailer from them. Completely went the extra mile and even helped us with the wiring on our vehicle when we couldn't get the trailer lights working. That alone will bring me back to the shop when I need vehicle repairs. Thanks so much, Mike!

I took my car in to fix the headlights issues. After spending $185, they said there was a bigger issue they couldn’t solve and i need to spend more ($1900). Later, after inspection they told me the turbo cooler line was leaking oil, which could cause the turbo to fail, so I scheduled another appointment to fix it. After spending another $185, they said the issue wasn’t related to the oil leak but might be the transmission or something else. In the end, neither the headlights nor the turbo/transmission were fixed, and I spent $370 for nothing. I wasted my time for nothing. Updated Response to Reply: I have to disagree with how this situation was handled. I brought my car to your shop to fix the headlights, not for an endless cycle of inspections. In the end, neither the headlights nor the turbo/transmission were fixed, and I spent $370 for nothing. You mentioned a language barrier, but I clearly explained my problem. I wanted the headlights fixed, not just diagnosed multiple times. Your shop had two chances to resolve the issue and failed both times. Suggesting expensive replacements for "cheap aftermarket parts" without addressing the actual problem wasn’t helpful. Also, I went to another shop, and they fixed the headlights in 20 minutes for just $80 (find the attached picture). That’s proof the issue wasn’t as complicated or expensive as you made it seem. I wasted two days and $370 for no results at your shop. This was an incredibly disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend your shop to anyone based on this.

I’m not a reviews guy, I don’t leave good reviews and I don’t leave bad reviews. However I felt I had to say something about these guys. We are down the street from them, we take any car problems here, however in conversation with Mike(owner) I let him know I want to fix my cars myself and save the money. This was a few years ago, but he told me to always come talk to him if I needed a special tool or advice on anything I was doing. My wife forced me to take him up on the offer… nearly two years later. I needed a special tool. Mike literally walked me into his shop like he knew me, gave me everything I needed without hesitation. He probably had zero clue who I was, if I was him I would probably be a little annoyed (it’s like when you see someone and ask how they’re doing and they give you their life story) but he did everything he could to help me. That’s the type of business these guys are. The women in the office are amazing and so kind and helpful. Mike is man of his word, and would do anything to help someone. If you have a question about your car, go to M1 Auto. You will get an honest answer, from people that would help anyone in any way.

I took a truck for pre-inspection and I am more than happy and impressed with this Mechanic shop. From their phenomenal front desk, Brit, to the owner, Mike and everybody in the shop! Not to mention, they have a firm foundation of values and are a place I would highly highly highly recommend supporting. Not to mention, they are family owned and that’s a gem nowadays. We've rented uhauls here many times. The owner has even given me a ride to the uhaul across the street. I drove 2 hours from Logan in freezing temperatures (I do not have a working heater core in my vehicle) I am completely frozen. When I got to M 1 auto repair I was met with questioning I have never been asked from the hundreds and hundreds of times I've rented a uhaul. The question was what address are we taking the truck (given the owners response) verbatim and I quote "we need to know where the truck in case you steal it) there was one issue. Another issue is the shops owners wife attempting to demand my attention (with a narcissistic attitude) and I quote her words verbatim) "look at me when I'm talking to you" These people are not good in their dealings. I highly recommend finding a mobile mechanic or learning to work on your vehicle. They'll just give you the run around as they did me. Do not go here, it's not worth your time, energy, or money.

I really like coming to this car shop because they take pictures and videos of the problem your car has. That way you can see they aren't just charging you unnecessarily. They give everyone a year warranty of what they fixed. They text you with a link of the breakdown in price and have you approve it before they fix it. It's a nice place to support a small family business too! ☺️

Don’t bring your car here!!!! I brought my car for a specific reason and they told me that wasnt the issue and and like an idiot I believed them because they are “mechanics” they charged me 3000 dollars for the service then told me that didn’t fix it and claimed they’re diagnostic was not incorrect I asked to speak with the owner cuz he’s the one who gave me all the info on my truck and magically he was in the hospital I guess I was speaking with his wife and she was very unprofessional about the whole thing

I was terrified to bring my car into a shop for a long time but after talking to Mike I dont want to go to anyone else. My car had died the day before and barely made it to the shop, Mike did a thorough investigation and let me know everything that was wrong with her. The ladies at the front were also very nice and helpful. She was my first car and they helped me with the whole process when it came to her end. I will forever be grateful for the people at this shop for helping me through such a rough time.

So happy with my experience. I live near Chicago and purchased my dream car, a Mercedes E53 AMG Convertible from a dealer down the street. I called M1 for an inspection as I was buying sight unseen and they happened to be able to get me in on the same day. The price was fair and I really felt like they did a great and thorough checkup on all of the workings of this car. They provided a comprehensive report detailing their findings with pictures and videos which was extremely helpful for me. Overall I feel they did a wonderful job and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable mechanic. Thank you M1 Auto for giving me peace of mind from 1,400 miles away! I can't wait for my dream car to arrive!

I had an appointment at 9:00am this Saturday, arrived at 9:00, noticed no one was there and then saw the hours for Saturday listed as 10:00am - 2:00pm. After messaging the listed phone number, I left and came back at 10:00am, where I was told the services on my vehicle were expected to be done by 2:00pm. I called for an update at 1:05pm, left a voicemail, and wasn't contacted until 1:40pm, when I was told that my car was being put back together and would be done a little after 2:00pm. After sitting there for an hour, I asked about when they expected it to be finished. I was told it would be 10 minutes, plus a test drive. At 3:35, they came out to tell me it needed an additional service which I had to ask how long would take. I was told it would be another 10-30 minutes. I didn't leave the shop until a little after 4:00. I completely understand that when you're getting a vehicle serviced it can take longer than expected. That's fine. What frustrated me to the point of tears was the complete lack of communication about time-frames and what was being done to my vehicle. I felt utterly ignored as I wasted two hours of my time sitting in the waiting area. The services that were done to my vehicle were fine, the communication was terrible.

No matter your opinion on current affairs - this shop and their mechanics are trustworthy. They provide pictures and videos of the problems and can knowledgeably repair them without worry. I trust them. Until I’m given a reason not to, I will not go to any other mechanic shop. It’s family owned and operated, it’s part of my community and they take pride in their work. I’m trusting them to service my vehicle that I will be living out of, part time, for my safety, reliability and ease of mind. The shop owner, Mike, will explain everything needed and doesn’t balk at getting a second opinion because he stands by their work and diagnostic results of his team. Stop searching for a mechanic to blame and start fixing your vehicle problems at M1 Auto. I stand by them and their shop. Thank you to the M1 team. 10/10.

They were very kind and thoughtful. So very helpful too. My acura kept breaking over and over again and they helped each time and were Incredibly sweet, not to mention honest as well. My boyfriend recommended here and I have to agree they are the best! Sadly my car is no longer worth fixing but I definitely found a very nice repair place for forever.
