We took our 2019 Levante to this dealer because the parking break release was not working properly so we needed it repaired. While we were there for the break, they told us there was also a main seal leak that would require the transmission to be removed to repair and cost $5500 to repair. This seemed ridiculous so I took it to a euro car repair shop in South OC, Star Motors, who inspected the car and found no leak of the main seal at all but found a leak from the turbo feed line which was a $850 repair instead of a $5500 repair…. My advice to anyone taking an out of warranty car to this Maserati dealer for repairs is, don’t do it or always get a second opinion at a well reviewed local repair shop. I asked the repair shop that did the work for me how often they see something like this happen with dealers and they said it’s not uncommon. I expected more from Maserati but this dealer must be desperate. The service guy even told us to buy a 3rd party warranty from an 3rd party and gave us a number of a company who when I researched them had tons of awful reviews and complaints. We will never go back to this dealer again and will likely not purchase another Maserati either. Hopefully Maserati USA looks into our complaint as well and teaches this shady dealer a lesson.
