He takes the time to explain mechanical problems in detail, and will not perform unnecessary services. Echoing everyone else who speaks to owner Herbert's honesty. Every time I've come here he's shown me exactly what the issue is and what exactly was fixed - down to showing me the parts replaced. Had A/C fixed, oil changed, and front / rear brakes replaced. Highly recommended!

I had been having my car serviced at Southbay Toyota until I moved to north Torrance where I find Master Tech. After a few services at Master Tech, I find that Master Tech can provide equally good services like Southbay Toyota but with a much more affordable price. Herbert is very professional and friendly. He is also a Toyota expert. No wonder he has so many certificates and awards on the wall in his office. What I really appreciate his service about is that he went extra to fix my dents without additional charges after my regular car maintenance unlike many other auto shops who could charge me a lot. I now trust Master Tech much more than Southbay Toyota, as I know Herbert provides me with reliable services with great quality. I don't need to worry if he will provide me with unnecessary services just to make extra bucks like many other auto shops including Southbay Toyota. Thank you so much, Herbert! This place is great! My husband and I moved to the area from out of state and had to switch license plates. One of the screws was rusted and stuck, and after many attempts with a screwdriver and wrench, only managed to strip the head. I stopped by on a Wednesday, late morning after reading fabulous reviews on Yelp. Master Tech is attached to a very small parking lot, which is shared by both a Hertz Car Rental and Performance Transmission & Auto Repair (absolutely no parking). I decided to park in the next lot over (in front of T-mobile) and walked to the office. I was met outside by a very friendly Herbert who, after hearing about my problem, grabbed a few tools and followed me all the way to my car. I really appreciated that, since I had my baby and she is getting heavy. He managed to remove both screws, switch the plates, and secure the new one in about 5 minutes. He then refused to charge me anything and told me to have a good day! It was just like having family or a family friend fix my car. I will gladly come back the next time my car has a more serious problem. Thank you, Herbert, for being so cheerful, friendly, and helpful!

This was after the first 3 auto repair places I called didn't even want to get anywhere near the display issue. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain to me the various options and how quickly he resolved the issue. His shop is now my go-to place for my vehicles.

This is a great place to go if you ever need your car worked on. I went in cause I thought I needed to get my tires rotated and brake pads replaced. They inspected the car for 30 minutes and told me the tires had to be replaced and the brakes were just rusty and did not need to be replaced for a whole year. Herbert didn't even charge me for looking at the car. He said it was no issue and just asked for me to come back when the brakes needed to be replaced and recommended a place to get new tires. I am only getting my car worked on here from now on.

Herbert is a kind hearted mechanic. My family only has one car, so when we had to get it repaired we had no transportation to get back home. My mom is disabled, so it would have been hard for her to walk home. Herbert drove my family and I home after we left our car in his care. He did this for us twice. When we got our car back, we were very happy with the repair!
