Poor customer service, I would not recommend them for services. I had my battery replaced by them 2 times in a 4 year period and then had to pay for a diag fee when it died again all for them to tell me my battery is fine when it’s not. Manager was rude and basically told me I was wrong, they did a diag and I had to pay for it, although IF someone had told me ahead of time that I would have to pay that dig fee I would have inquired on why it was not covered under the battery warranty. The manager told me that they tested my battery and it was fine so he was unsure why AAA, who had to tow it into them, told me otherwise. He also said due to my mileage it’s normal to need battery wires after 125K so my reply was if you knew that based on my mileage why did you proceed with a diag test and he had no valid answer except, he knew that because he’s been in the field for 10 years but someone else might not know that, which sounds like I’m being feed anything to get me to go away. He also said I probably needed a decoration service which I already had done from them at my last oil change. Again poor customer service. I also had my engine rebuilt by them 6 months ago and in this diag they indicated I had 3 engine leaks which surprised me, wouldn’t they have noticed and noted that 6 months ago when they had it completely opened up. all other items on my diag list was already noted previously when I paid for the diag 6 months ago. They seem to be money driven and could care less about providing you quinine service, pick someone else to touch your car.

Terrible communication. The only time I had someone reach out or provide any follow-up was when they asked for a survey response.

The finance people are adamant about taking the warranty when you purchase the vehicle. Then when you take it in to get the covered services complete they end up not being covered due to technicalities. The service representative should have been upfront and given me an option to wait until the service would be covered under warranty. I’m not sure if they get commissions off of service transactions, but it is terrible customer service not to be upfront with a customer

Working with the service department has been an absolute nightmare. We paid for their vehicle warranty and took it in to get the transmission serviced. It took many months to get our car in the first time and when it was returned it was still not fixed. They then took many more months to get our vehicle back in to repair the transmission "again" and put us in a rental.GMC had our vehicle for over a month, and unfortunately the problem was never resolved. Mckinney GMC has also never paid the outstanding balance for the rental which was over $2,000. We reached out several time where were were told it would be taken care of, and in fact it wasnt, and we recently found out we are now banned from renting at Hertz and have to pay the outstanding balance. We have had many phone calls never returned and the run around throughout the entire time working with this dealership. I have never experienced this level of dissatisfaction with such a large company. We left paying for a warranty and never being able to get our transmissioned fixed and a rental car bill over $2,000, and our reputation as people who don't take care of our bills! PLEASE BE AWARE THEY DO NOT TAKE CUSTOMER SERVICE SERIOUSLY.

Started having my pre-owned vehicle (2020 GMC Canyon) serviced by the service department at McKinney GMC They were little a higher price, but made the decision to stay with them and was satisfied with their service. There was a pulsating transmission, which the techs took care of by flushing the transmission fluid that was known for breaking down and causing this issue. No charge as I was under 30k miles and problem resolved (fall of 2022). Had some minor body work done in March and again wanted to use GM certified technicians and this seemed like a reputable service department. This ended up being $1,500 + I got an oil change and the techs recommended some other things. Out the door, about $2k... But pulsating issue returned. Noticed as I was pulling off the lot after there service was done, but was going out of town so figured I would call them and let them know the next morning. Now it's 3 days just for the diagnosis lead time and when I explained the situation, just a blank stare. I ended up cancelling my appointment today with the dealership service department as my trust factor has diminished over the last few years in the truth and transparency. What changed?

I took my new GMC Denali truck for service. Amanda was my Service advisor. She was very helpful and knowledgeable! She did a great job for me again! The Mechanics also did a great job!

This is by far the worst service department I have ever dealt with. The dealership as a whole cannot keep anything straight. I received 2 calls/voicemails and 2 emails saying I needed to bring my vehicle in for service. So I call them, schedule, come in at the scheduled time and the guy says “you have our maintenance plan, it covers every 7500 miles or oil life at less than 10%, you currently have 14% so it won’t cover this service.” Again, they called me. So asinine. As another story for reference, a friend of mine purchased a new vehicle from here less than a year ago and has had nothing but problems out of it. It’s been at this service dept more than he has had it and has direct GM involvement in trying to resolve. At one point, the service team told him that GM told them that he should bring it back to the dealer he purchased it from….. again, he bought it THERE. I didn’t have any issues with the purchasing process for the vehicle, the sales team was fine, but this Service Dept is absolute garbage. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for service.
