McNeil's has been my "go-to" auto shop for 13 years. I recently had an issue with my transmission. I worked with Tim to resolve the issue. Tim is very professional and listen to my concerns and enacted a plan to get my car working again. I was supported throughout the process and they even gave me a loaner for the day. I am happy to say that McNeil's is still my auto shop.

This is a great place to bring your car for maintenance. I have always been treated with excellent service and care. They follow through with their commitments and I am never wondering what is happening with my car. A huge shout out to Josh. My car was in serious need of attention but I also needed a fast turn-around due to some travel on the weekend. Josh was great to help facilitate the quick service. Yes, I will bring my car back the next time a doctor's visit is needed.

I have been taking my Dodge Ram to the Sandy location over the last few years. I have had such a positive experience. It's the first time I really learned to trust a mechanic shop. Erica is a wonderful technician and great to work with. She is always very thorough and up front. Everyone there is always so positive and customer friendly. The work is done correctly and timely. I love the communication so I know what to expect. When getting a quote on work they take photos of the work that needs to be done. I highly recommend working with Erica @ McNeil's in Sandy. The whole team there are wonderful. I'm so very grateful!

Love that it is such a clean and nice facility!(which is rare for an automotive shop) It was so nice that they had a fun kids area with toys for my kids to play with. I could finally take a break and relax while my car was getting looked at. Great staff, great service, great facility! I will always use McNeil's!

I had the most amazing experience with Jackson and the whole team at McNiel's and M'Bros Detail. We had an unexpected incident happen while at the shop and they handled everything for us. I have never been treated so kindly and had so much understanding in an otherwise stressful situation. I will definitely be using them for all of my auto needs and I will be referring everyone I know to them. It's nice to know that there are still people out there willing to go above and beyond.

This initially started as a stressful and awful experience with McNeil’s however they (specifically the owner, Pete) turned it around. I brought my 2021 BMW X5 in for a routine brake check and possible replacement. While my car was being test driven by a tech to confirm whether my brakes actually needed replacing a serpentine belt broke and as result it damaged a water pump. I was pretty upset when I received the call about the issue. From my perspective, I dropped off my car in perfect working condition and less than 2 hours later I was being told that in addition to the brakes/rotors needing to be replaced that there was an additional $3500 of damages and repairs that were required. There was quite some back and forth about the responsible party regarding the cost of the repair for the serpentine belt and water pump between myself and the GM. It escalated to Pete, the owner who in good faith advised he would cover the costs of the repair and he also reduced the cost of the brake and rotor replacement as an added bonus, which was very generous and appreciated. My experience overall with all the employees at McNeil’s was positive and I’m happy with the quality of work on my car. It’s been several months since this took place and I held off on writing a review until I was positive about the quality of work. I feel like car service shops generally have a bad reputation of nickel and dime-ing their customers but I feel like McNeils went above and beyond to make sure that wasn’t the case. We had an amazing experience there on Christmas Eve! We unfortunately had a piece of rubber flung at us from another car on the freeway. The metal undercarriage of our car was broken and bent horribly. It was scraping on the asphalt so loudly as we pulled into the parking lot. We walked in and explained the issue to the manager at the front desk and asked what options we had and how much they’d cost. His immediate response was that they’d take a look at it for free. Merry Christmas! The damage to our car was an unexpected stress that was immediately put to ease! They detached the undercarriage, straightened out the bend, and reached it quickly. They even replaced some bolts that were missing to make it even more secure than before! They were so kind, professional and knowledgeable. Super appreciate the work they did and the kindness they showed to us. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Terrible service and the upcharge is insane breaking it down on paper they’re charging each customer thousands more than the labor or parts are worth. I brought my car in for a simple fix and was quoted for 7 grand very next place I called and let them know what was going on with my vehicle quoted me 600$ for the repair and didn’t take 3 days just to give me an quote and charge me 200$ for the quote like mcneals this place needs to go out of business!!! I was charged 213$ for diagnostics?? Just so that you would quote me on a radiator replacement wasn’t charged excuse you? There are far better shops than this they are just trying to run a fast one on people 100% And the quote they gave me after diagnostics was 7 grand when all I needed was a radiator replacement and had to get verbally upset over the phone for them to even tell me how much for just the radiator replacement??????? Unbelievable The response to my review is garbage be a better business

10/10 recommend. In a pinch to get a fix, they were able to get me in and taken care of in no time. The customer service is incredible from the phone call to walking out the door. They did a full vehicle inspection to assess the problem I was having and sent a full report of everything they found. Some things were minor and not an issue while others were rated on scale of can wait or should be taken care of sooner than later. The report included pictures and explanations which I thought was great - picture proof they aren't just yankin your chain. They then called to discuss over the phone and answer any questions I had before sending me the estimate. The estimate I received had everything listed on it with the cost and I was able to approve and deny what I wanted fixed with no surprises. Great Staff. Great Service.

These guys are amazing. I needed to get the tires on my Tesla Model S aligned, and they were able to squeeze me in. Not only did they do a great job with the alignment, but they also provided a full service report with helpful recommendations for future upkeep. Recently made an appointment at the McNeils in Sandy for a battery replacement in my Ford Transit. Josh called very soon after to walk through my exact needs and prep for the visit. Then when the van battery fully died before the visit I called Josh who happily adjusted the maintenance plan to fit the new circumstances. Once the van was towed to McNeils, Josh kept me abreast of the diagnostics, was always honest and clear about the steps being taken, and never over-charged me. Because of folks like Josh who go way above and beyond, I know I am in good hands when I take my business to McNeils. I would recommend McNeils to anyone with auto issues.

I started hearing a creaking noise from the front of my Tesla Model Y back in October and, honestly, I was worried. I drive Uber for a living and put 200–300 miles on my car every day, so any new sound is a big deal for me. After some research, I called McNeil’s Auto Care, and from the very first phone call I knew I was in the right place. I spoke with Erica, who immediately put me at ease. She listened patiently while I described the issue, and even though she couldn’t give me an exact quote without an inspection, she went the extra mile by checking what other Teslas in the shop were paying for the same repair. She didn’t brush me off or act annoyed, she genuinely tried to give me as much helpful information as possible. That alone was impressive. Once I brought my car in for a diagnostic, I learned that Erica would be my dedicated service representative, which ended up being one of my favorite parts of their customer service model. Any time I called, I spoke to her, not a random rotation of people, which meant I never had to re-explain my situation. She always knew exactly where things stood and treated me with professionalism and kindness every single time. After the inspection, they recommended replacing the control arms which was my most immediate concern. The problem was, I didn’t have the money saved yet. When I told them I was on a debt-free journey and didn’t want to finance the repair, they didn’t pressure me, try to scare me, or try to upsell anything. Instead, they worked with me. Erica talked with the technicians to find out how urgent the repair actually was and called me back with a realistic timeframe, along with what warning signs to look out for. That meant the world to me! They respected my financial goals and my safety. When I finally saved up the money, I called back and, of course, spoke to Erica, who got me scheduled right away. I mentioned I was hoping not to be without my car too long since it’s my income. When I dropped it off, she told me she made sure my car was first in line and, barring anything unexpected, it should be done the same day. Eight hours later, she called to say everything went great and it was ready for pickup. My car drives like a dream now. No more creaking, no more stress, and a huge amount of peace of mind. And on top of all that, they’re just good people. I brought my puppy to the initial inspection, and every conversation afterward, Erica asked how he was doing. That kind of care isn’t something you can teach. It’s who they are. I have a couple of smaller repairs I’ll need soon, and I won’t take my car anywhere else. McNeil’s is now my permanent service center. If you’re a Tesla owner, especially with higher mileage, go here. They are Tesla certified, they understand these cars, they get you in far faster than the Tesla Service Center, and the bill is significantly smaller. Thank you, McNeil’s (and especially Erica) for taking such incredible care of both me and my car. Highly, highly recommended.

Took my car in for for a flat tire repair and through their courtesy vehicle inspection. I learned my car was due for some major repairs that would've turned it into a major road hazard if left alone. Tim was very friendly and helpful with explaining and showing what was wrong and why. The services were fast and I had my cat back thr following day. I would definitely recommend these guys and I'll be coming back for sure.

I just serviced my car with McNeil's for the first time and was very happy with the level of service, transparency, and collaboration I received. My car has a number of items that need to be addressed and McNeil's worked with me to understand what services were most pressing and what services could be delayed to a later date; something I felt was lacking at the dealership. The staff was very friendly and took the time to explain things thoroughly helping me understand the issues, what the risks were, and how they should be addressed. The cost of the services was considerably less expensive than the dealership as well. I will absolutely be returning to McNeil's to service my vehicle in the future.
