If you take time to read the reviews, it's not surprising that you'll see a whole lot of negative about Dave. Everything you read is true. He's rude, lies, arrogant, and doesn't care about you as a customer. I had a phone conversation with him (Dave, the manager) explaining my vehicle was having an issue over heating stemming from what I believed, and another auto-shop told me was the AC compressor pully not turning and/or clutch not engaging properly. This was previously diagnosed by a different licensed mechanic after I had 2 belts fray and shred. Long story short, Dave told me, over the phone, he would look at it and give his thoughts for no charge. When I brought my vehicle in, I reiterated the problem, he tried to say I told him something completely different and never mentioned over-heating (because he put it in the computer as an AC Check) and would now only look at it if I paid $90. When I confronted him about what was actually said, he was very smug and didn't care. Granted it seems like their garage is busy and this must give Dave the arrogance to not care about customers. Don't go here, don't recommend others to go here, and hopefully the owners of this eventually read all these reviews and either get Dave some extra customer service training or go another route.

I bought a car about a week ago, and shortly after I bought it I started receiving a message that said βservice CVT.β I live right behind the Midas so I thought I might as well go ask them about it. The man at the desk was incredibly rude and short with me. He acted like he had no idea what I was talking about and said he didnβt know why I was even asking about it if the car was driving okay. I left feeling more confused than I was to begin with, and feeling like an idiot because he made me feel like I was being stupid by even asking. I called Carmax right after (where I bought my car) and they immediately told me I needed to get the car in right away because I shouldnβt be driving it when the CVT needed service. If I had just gone off of what the guy at Midas told me, I could have wrecked my car or hurt myself. This was a really unacceptable experience and despite the proximity I will never request service at this location again.

I cannot recommend this place enoughβ¦. Brad and his team are absolutely amazing, kind, and efficient. I was quoted almost $700 for breaks by another establishment and after bringing my printed estimate to Brad (because they will beat anyoneβs quote if you bring it in)β¦. they found that I did not even need my pads and rotors replaced yet. The other place lied to me and was going to take my $700 with zero remorse!!!β¦ Brad at Midas in Urbana told me the TRUTH and sent me on my way with a $0 invoiceβ¦. This type of transparency is so rare these days, I can say with full confidence that all of my break work will ONLY be done by Brad and his team from now on. My business will follow him wherever he goes! I am still in shock over the lies that CARE muffler and break shop in Danville, IL told meβ¦ Thank GOD for people like Brad, I highly recommend Midas in Urbana to everyone! You and your vehicle are SAFE there!!!

I was charged $416 ($460 before their "discount") for a new battery on my 2015 Toyota Sienna. My vehicle had to be towed in, so I didnβt have many options at the time. Afterward, I called another Midas location in the area and was quoted $315 for the same service. The significant price difference was disappointing and left me feeling taken advantage of due to my situation.

Person at the desk would barely answer my follow-up questions about the issues he mentioned and even asked why it was so hard for me to understand. You would almost think the car was his and I was bothering him with my business. Needless to say, I bought the part myself for $258 less than what they wanted to charge and had a friend help me install it. I wasnβt sure whether to wait to get the issue fixed, but in the end, Midas made that decision easy and helped me save a little bit of cash.

Customer service was amazing. I went for a tire change and Dave was extremely kind and helpful. The only small hiccup I had was with their website, my appointment wasnβt confirmed so I had to reschedule in person. But process was so smooth, so heads up itβs better to call. Would go back again for any car maintenance plus the arcade machine in the waiting room made the wait so quick!
