The Worst Customer Service I’ve Ever Experienced I don't usually leave reviews, but after my experience at the Midas in Novi, I feel obligated to warn others. To put it bluntly: this place is a joke — and not a funny one. I came in for what should’ve been a straightforward service. Instead, I left angry, disrespected, and completely disappointed. The main reason? A guy named PAUL & CHRIS who clearly has no idea how to treat customers. From the second I walked in, Paul was rude, condescending, and completely unprofessional. He acted like I was bothering him just by asking questions about the work they were doing. He didn’t explain anything clearly, talked down to me, and had an attitude like he was too good to deal with customers. If Paul is the face of this location, it’s no wonder people are taking their business elsewhere.

Way over priced!!!! Please get another quote especially for pads and rotors. I literally created this google account to warn people. The only reason I went is because I was approved for a Midas credit card. And I’m a broke loser. I am 100 percent to blame I approved all prices on the contract. But trust me ridiculous, if I had the cash never in a million years.

I went to Midas in Novi, MI for a simple oil change, and it turned into a frustrating experience. The mechanic put in the wrong oil and when I pointed it out, he refused to fix it at first, saying the car would “work fine.” Only after I escalated it to the manager did they finally put the correct oil in. However, the oil filter wasn’t changed, and when I asked about it, they wanted to charge me extra—even though the mistake wasn’t mine. On top of that, the mechanic started complaining about the oil drain plug and gasket, which he had just changed himself right before the oil mistake. It felt like he was blaming me for his own error, which didn’t make any sense. This experience left me with little confidence in their attention to detail and accountability. Mistakes happen, but how they are handled is what defines good service. If any issues arise in my car due to this incident, I expect Midas to take full responsibility. I hope management addresses this with their staff so other customers don’t face the same experience. Definitely not the level of service I would expect from a place like Midas.

⭐ 1-Star Review Avoid This Place – Disrespectful Staff, Especially Paul If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at Midas of Novi was absolutely terrible, and the biggest issue by far was the unbelievably rude and unprofessional behavior from Paul. From the moment I walked in, I was met with attitude and condescension — like I was a problem, not a customer. Paul was dismissive, short, and completely uninterested in helping me. When I asked questions about the services and pricing, he acted like I was wasting his time. No eye contact, no patience, no courtesy. It felt like I was bothering him just by being there. I’ve never dealt with someone so blatantly disrespectful in a customer-facing role. To make matters worse, the work I came in for wasn’t even done properly, and when I brought it up, I was brushed off like my concerns didn’t matter. Not even an attempt to make things right — just more attitude and arrogance from Paul. I don’t know how someone like that is allowed to represent the business, but it speaks volumes about how this location is run. Completely unacceptable. I will never return, and I strongly advise anyone reading this to go somewhere — anywhere — else.

The gentleman at this location were absolutely amazing. I work for a nursing home in the area and needed to have a part welded that is crucial to get residents in and out. They went above and beyond and got the bus in and fixed instantly. We need to use this bus to get residents to and from appointments daily, to have this fixed in such a timely manner kept us from missing any of these appointments. I would highly recommend for any vehicle maintenance and we will definitely be coming back going forward!

I didn’t get ANYTHING done by them, and if I were YOU I wouldn’t either. I took my car in for a wheel alignment and they told me they couldn’t do it because my upper/lower front control arms and front left tie rod were in bad condition and proceeded to attach a $3300 bill to it. I got a second and third opinion . The first opinion I showed the shop the exact things they said was wrong on the quote and the other body shop quoted me $2100 for the exact same parts and labor ($1200 LESS) and when I actually got my car looked at by the third body shop they found NOTHING wrong with any of the things Midas “found” and the issue they found was actually totally different (my motor mount) plus my initial wheel alignment and I was only charged $850 for parts and labor. Shame on the mechanics there for lying and trying to take advantage of me

Outstanding Service and Genuine Kindness I brought my car in for brake work, and once again, the experience was exceptional. The entire staff was respectful, professional, and kind throughout my visit. Paul, in particular, stood out—he was truly amazing. While I was waiting, a young teenager came in visibly shaken after a rock hit his sideview mirror. Paul immediately stepped in to help, offering reassurance and assistance purely out of the kindness of his heart. It was clear the teen was a new driver and nervous, but Paul’s compassion made a big difference. During my wait, I observed how the staff interacted with other customers, and not once did I see anyone treated with anything less than respect. This was my second visit here, and just like the first time, the level of care and professionalism was consistent. I highly recommend this place for both their excellent service and their genuine kindness.

Nobody’s perfect but the shop overlooked connection of upper radiator hose after 2 grand of work and I overheated on the way home. Probably will practice looking more closely at the repairs upon pickup next time. To their credit the shop made it right and I’m grateful for that despite the annoyance and inconvenience it caused some. Gigging two stars cus I think their margins on parts are too high and because of the delay to our plans and a missed day of work for one. I must however compliment the customer service; Ben and John were very cordial and respectful as well as knowledgeable. Very pleasant dealing with them.

I've been here twice. The first time I brought my RR for an oil change back in December 2025 so we could go on our road trip. I called someone and made an appointment, my husband brought the truck at said appointment time only to be told there was no appointment in the system, they didnt know who I talked to I gave them the whole conversation verbatim etc. Okay cool told my husband to come back at said time we did got it done no biggie 🙃 Today I called same location asked for a price for a full synthetic high mileage oil change for my lexus explained I usually go to different location they aren't affiliated with so im not in there system for this vehicle, he gave me a price for $83 i asked if that was before or after coupon he said after I said cool he asked if I could come in at 4 I said okay great! Gave him my first and last name spelled out, cool appointment locked in! I get there and this dude tells me he doesnt see an appointment for me at all and asked who I called showed him the number he proceeds to tell me their phone number is different and starts with 3 blah blah blah so I pulled it up on Google and started giving him the conversation verbatim after he says he's been the only one there all day then he let's me know he remembers giving me a price but not locking in an appointment...what a complete idiot im done with this location and ill never come back here, they are super unprofessional, and unorganized

My muffler fell off in the blizzard we just had and no one would help me. I called and even went to Belle Tire on Grand River in Novi and they told me they could not help me. I will never ever shop there for tires or any service at all. However John and the mechanic that worked on my car were Amazing they took my car in right away and repaired it beyond my expectations. So if you're looking for good honest and considerate people I highly highly recommend Midas in Novi. Thank you guys 10⭐'s
