I have been going to this Midas location on Main, in Walnut Creek since May 2018. The level of professionalism, integrity and service quality is beyond reproach! Since my first time there both Sam and Rod have serviced 3 of my vehicles to the tune of at least 30+ visits ranging from tune-ups to brakes, tires and everything in between. I purchased my tires from Midas last year and returned today to have a nail removed, which was supposed to be a free service. While a technician was inspecting my tire, an older man from the front desk walked over, took a quick glance, and immediately declared the tire unrepairable, insisting I needed a new one—before the actual technician could even speak. I declined and instead went to a small local tire shop in Bay Point, where they easily repaired it with no issues.This isn’t the first time I’ve had problems with this same individual. He previously tried to convince me I needed a new turbocharger, which later turned out to be completely false. Unfortunately, his behavior has made it impossible for me to trust this Midas location. The technicians themselves seem capable and honest, but the older man at the front desk—the heavier-set one—has eroded my confidence in the business as a whole.

I have been going here for a few years now & have genuinely felt that they are kind, honest, & reasonable mechanics. Sometimes I do feel like I’m talked to by the workers like I don’t know how a car works. (Not that often but occasionally). I’m a young woman & of course I don’t know as much as a mechanic, but it seems a little condescending sometimes when I’m just curious about my car. I deserve as much respect as the next person. So besides that, I’ve always felt that my car is well taken care of here.

On December 13, 2025 I took my car to Midas 2710 North Main Street. Walnut Creek, CA 94597… My check engine light came on, so I decided to take it there because this Midas because its literally right around the corner from my home… I just moved to Walnut Creek a few months ago, but I’ve been a Midas customer for years… They told me that they had to run a diagnosis on my car 2009 Honda Accord… So I trusted them and left it there. It stayed there for about an hour and 30 minutes. I got a call to come pick up my car. When I got to Midas to pick up my car from being diagnostics to find out what was going on with it I noticed that my rear bumper right side had damages/scratches on it… I politely ask Sam to find out why my car was damaged/scratches on my rare bumper, he was very rude very aggressive he did not play the video cameras back correctly. He was working the mouse on the computer himself he did not play the camera footage correctly… He told me that I cannot talk to any of the technicians that drove my car. He told them not to speak to me…. he was discriminated against me because I’m African-American non-binary… I had to call the local Walnut Creek police to investigate the matter further Sam lied to the Walnut Creek police Sam tried to cover up the camera video footage he did everything in his power to Cover up what his technicians did to my car while it was in their at the shop… Sam was very disrespectful very rude very aggressive. Very hostile when I try to understand why I picked up my car with damaged/scratches on the rear Right side… He tried to make the police be in his favor because he claimed he’s a business owner Private property he did not want to work with me about my damages to my car. He also told me to leave the property he refused future service to me due to the fact that I seen the damage on my rear bumper and I said something… Sam lied and said it was this person that drove my car and from what I seen on the camera footage, I seen another person driving my car so he tried to make it seem like I don’t know what I see from my own two eyes… Sam is a crook. He’s a racist he’s discriminating. Sam you will continue to be investigated The technicians was very rude The technicians that drove my car did not want to take responsibility for damaging my car
