The worker there, Christina, is a very nice and knowledgeable person, I've gone back on multiple occasions to work on my own car and help others with there projects, they shop has almost all the tools you would need for any job but are always getting new specialty tools, with new lifts coming in soon I definitely will be going back for a while.

Great little Auto Skills center. It's suffering from a bit of disorganization and lack of management but the staff is friendly and not abusive towards customers like more organized shops sometimes are. Double check the posted hours, they were open more than what was listed on the website. I'm a regular at Ellsworth AFB auto skills center but always stop in and visit others when on the road and Nellus Auto Skills is a good one.

You can definitely tell FSS does not care about this place. What a shame! It could be really nice, instead it's neglected. I bring my own tools to a shop that should have tools in spades...

Great place for those of us without a place to work on our cars or when in need of a hydraulic lift.

After 8 years of being closed, this facility fonally opened back up this year! Friendly and helpful staff, 4 drive on racks, tire changing and balancing equipment, and much more. A great place to go to save money by doing and learning how to perform my own auto maintenance.

Jody was fantastic on showing my around the place and providing the knowledge and tools to do my own oil change. It beats having to go to a mechanic on upcharging you like crazy. $5 an hour to use their facility and equipment.

Little disappointed to be honest. But not in terms of the shop or equipment. The gentleman seemed to be a little aggressive toward us for some reason. Still worth 3 stars since it is undoubtedly useful for the Airmen on base who have nowhere else to go. No desire in me to go back. Glad everyone else had a positive experience though.

Place is amazing! Especially because they had to start from ground zero after they shut it down. Honestly, 5 bucks an hour and the lady who runs it will pretty much do anything to help you out. One time she actually let an Airman use her car to go buy more parts from Auto Zone.

Friendly and accommodating staff of Jody and Jim. Very helpful in the mounting and balancing of two tires. Great capabilities at descent prices. Call to check the hours of operation. Recommend to save some money and satisfaction of accomplishment. Recommend.

Best feature of the shop is the folks who work there: Always helpful and friendly. I used to go to the dealer for maintenance until I told them I wanted full synthetic oil. When I got the bill, they only charged $20 for the oil change part. No one I have ever heard of charges that little for full synthetic. Lost confidence in all shops and decided to do maint myself as much as possible. Their lifts greatly facilitate that, plus I don't have to worry about fluid disposal. They have saved me hundreds of dollars in less than two years.

Great place to get work done on your own when and if you are willing to get your hands dirty.

From the moment we arrived, Leonard was there to help us. I went along with my husband to help him since he gets vertigo really bad if he bends over, but I didn't need to do anything because Leonard helped my husband throughout while he still attended to others in the shop. We couldn't have done the job without his help. When we left, the great service continued with Jody, she was awesome as well, very friendly and sweet. We will absolutely be going back, we even got a little help from another guy that was beside us working on his SUV. I was trying to get the lift out from underneath the car and he came over and bent down and got it out for me, so nice! It's a clean shop, it's hands down the best Auto Shop on any base we've been to and we've been to over 8 shops. 10 STAR

The lifts are 5$ an hour which you cannot beat. The folks that work there and run the place are constantly making sure you have everything you need to get the job done that you need to do. Arrived there at 10:45 and installed an after market exhaust in a little under two hours on a full size pickup. Rolled out at 12:30. Couldn’t have done it without the lift they provided. If you don’t know how to use the lift they teach you. They’ll even lend a helping hand if you get stuck on a project. I’ll be back here anytime I need a lift for a vehicle and tool for the job. Also, they do try and keep one lift open for oil changes only, thought that was very nice of them!

I brought my RV here for oil changes. Although I cannot fir into the bay, I was accommodated outside, and was able to use the tools. The tools were not well organized, and specialty tools were minimal, but I was able to complete the task and the shop was clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly too. Update: all of the previous observations are still accurate, but three of the lifts do not work. Not the best hobby shop I have been to, but it beats the driveway!

I don’t know what’s going on or what happened. When I went there to check it out on Saturday afternoon, the Staff there wasn’t being friendly and accommodating. They seems very annoyed as I asked them about their service and the facility. However, they given other customers the courtesy but after shortly observing who they are it’s apparent that they only respected certain peoples and I wasn’t it. I thought they respect and honor Military but I never knew they could nick and pick who they want to treat some people a certain way. Very disappointed.

The shop is a great alternative to your driveway or paying high labor prices at shops around town. The tools on-hand are adequate for most jobs and they are working to improve them. I like using the lifts as opposed to crawling on the ground under my vehicle. The staff is nice and most guys there are knowledgeable and helpful. The dates and hours of operation could be better, say 9-7 instead of 1-7, retirees in particular would benefit from it. It would also allow for less pressure to complete work prior to closing. Be sure you have all your parts and oil and anything else you need as they don’t provide any. I recommend work gloves also. But make no mistake - It’s certainly worth your time to use this facility as it can save you a lot of $$.

Lifts and bays are on a “first come, first served” basis no reservations. Waiting list for Saturdays when it gets busy. MUST HAVE A “SHOP CARD” to work in here. A shop card consists of a review of safety procedures and a brief overview on equipment usage. Not only do they have lifts but they also have a tire machine and a balancer. You will need to have your own weights. Advise stick on weights from Autozone. The manager is making great progress in making this one of the best facilities to do your own work on your vehicle. Staff and volunteers are pretty laid back and easy to work with. BE ADVISED: No vehicles are let in 1 hour prior to closing and all work ceases 1/2 hour before closing time to ensure cleanup is done. (Don’t come an 75min prior to close and expect to get in and do a brake job) $6/hr for bay fee.
