I ABSOLUTELY love this car wash! I've been going here for years and love it even better under it's new ownership/management. I've tried other car washes in the area, and they don't compare to North Star. The management and staff are all super nice and extremely professional. In all the years I've had my vehicles washed there, I've never had any issues. All the employees know what they're doing when it comes to cleaning cars. They do an amazing job! What I love most is their new system! You now get to drive your car through their brand new washing set-up. The new system cleans my car even better than what they had before! It's super fun to go through their car wash and watch all the mechanisms do what they do! You have your choice to vacuum your car yourself or for $20 they vacuum, dry down your car and make it super clean. The other car washes in the area aren't as detail oriented as North Star. I love North Star, and will continue taking my vehicles there! I'm a super fan!

I liked this car wash when it first opened, but I just paid $16 for a premium wash and I have a handful of sections all over my car. Need to find a new place. This place is only worth using if you’re getting the full service with a guy wiping your car down at the end. I’d post pictures but it won’t let me.

My car came out of the wash with scratches all over it. The interior was dirty all I needed was a little elbow grease which the man did not seem to have this is my second time here since they changed over I gave it two tries and I will never return I called over the man walking around directing the cars where to go I took the rag and was able to clean up myself as proof he had the nerve to call me stupid

As a devoted patron and a mother juggling the schedules of two active children, I am profoundly thankful for the tireless efforts of every employee who assists me in keeping my car clean. I consistently commend the exceptional service, which undoubtedly reflects in my tips. However, today, upon arriving at 6 pm, amidst the usual bustle, the lead attendant overseeing vehicle placement after the rapid wash failed to notice my lowered window and remarked, "always coming last minute." As someone accustomed to collaborating with diverse groups and cultures, I found his tactlessness profoundly embarrassing. Perhaps it's time for him to consider a change if he no longer finds satisfaction in his role.

This is my second time coming to this car wash. I honestly will never go to any other car wash. Their treatment here is so honest and good and their service is absolutely impeccable. The manager David was always checking on my car and made sure the work was done properly. This place is lucky to have him. He even cleaned a few parts to make sure nothing was missed. I got the 25$ full service clean with the ceramic coating and the car came back to me brand new. It smelled beautiful, the vacuum work was done perfectly and I really had no complaints. I am a local Granada hills guy and I am glad that I have this option so close to me. They even took an extra step for me and cleaned up a chair that was extremely dirty! I am honestly thankful for their work! Thank you David and North Star!

All around a terrible experience. The cleaners’ manager was extremely rude , argumentative and unhelpful. The operation is chaotic; got yelled at multiple times by crew and ended up not getting half the service I paid for after wasting a long time there!!!! And no I won’t call you to discuss anything further! Instead teach your manager some customer service, and ask him not to be nasty!!!

I recently got a car wash at Northstar and I was very pleased with the service. From the moment I arrived, the staff was professional and friendly. They took the time to understand my needs and ensured that my car received the attention it needed. The wash itself was thorough and left my car looking spotless. Every detail was taken care of, from the exterior wash to the interior vacuuming. I was particularly impressed with the shine on my car's exterior – it looked as good as new. i had a great experience there. they were very helpful, they guided me to align tires with the track. i was driving a big truck and the exit is kinda tricky, the lady there helped me pull out. i paid for the full service and a couple additional things and i was very happy with the work. not sure why all of the negative reviews. if you only pay for the drive through then it wont be as clean but also its very cheap!! this place is affordable and they provide good value for the amount they charge. i came on a busy day because it was a holiday and the line moved pretty quickly. i would recommend giving this place a try.

The best all around car wash, we take 7 cars there, and have the monthly pass for quick exterior cleaning when in a rush. I have no idea why it’s 3 stars I’m coming here 4 years already and it’s always great service I always choose full service , it’s 30$ and you have to do literally nothing and you getting your car fully washed, vacuumed,washed interior and exterior! Love this place , will continue to go here 👍

Absolutely HORRIBLE. PAID for full service including Vaccum. I actually watch the head guy tell the guy cleaning out my car to STOP because they had a line. Lazy job, food crumbs all through out car. He then tried to say it was too much pet hair and they couldn't get it but i was literally picking up hair with my fingers. When I complained + called him out for lying and THEN stood over them and watched, the pet hair seem to come out quite easily with no problem. I get full service weekly and another local place and i have NEVER once had this issue. They didn't even bother to put the mats back down they left them on my seat because they were in a rush and had a line! *see pics below*

Every time I bring my suv for a wash, they've upgraded or enhanced something, love it! The solar panels provide shade when vacuuming your car, the full service has a separate entrance, and they do a great job at detailing your car. It's very convenient and family owned/operated.

I’ve been going to this place for over a decade because they used to provide the best service in the area and my car would always come out super clean. When I moved, I would even drive an hour just to get my car washed here. The past few times I’ve gone recently, however, they just have not cleaned my car as well. They’ve left things like bird poop on my car and haven’t been vacuuming as well leaving things like grass and crumbs. This never used to be the case. While the staff is always friendly, I just can’t justify the price of the full service with the experiences I’ve been having lately. I’ll have to unfortunately find a new place.

February 3, 2026, around 12:00 noon , at Northstar car Wash on Balboa I encountered a very concerning incident. I’ve been coming to this car wash regularly because they usually do a good job. Unfortunately, this visit was very different. The cleaning was extremely poor and unacceptable, with several areas of my car still visibly dirty. When I calmly pointed out the areas that had been missed, the manager’s attitude immediately changed. He at my. tempted to clean the car himself but was visibly irritated and unprofessional throughout the interaction. At one point, he exited my vehicle, stepped very close to me, pointed his finger inches from my face, and told me that I had a bad attitude. When he attempted to re-enter my car and continued arguing, I asked him to get out in order to prevent the situation from escalating. He initially refused. By that time, I felt uncomfortable and unsafe, so I locked my car and informed him that I no longer wanted his services. When I asked for his name so I could report the incident, he refused to provide it and stated only that he was a manager. This encounter was intimidating and highly unprofessional. I have never experienced anything like this at your business before, which is why this incident was especially disappointing. I am bringing this to your attention so that upper management is aware of what occurred and can take appropriate steps to ensure this type of behavior does not happen to other customers. I would appreciate a follow-up regarding this matter. Thank you very much.

It definitely the best car wash place. It has really reasonable monthly car wash memberships. And they have a lot of vacuums so I can clean! I think it is really nice to have this place in this area. Every staffs are so friendly too!

This was my first visit to this Car Wash and I was pretty happy with my experience. They provide free vacuum stations and they were set up perfectly and the vacuums were strong. The prices were average and they provide an air freshener. The wash was pretty good and wipe down your vehicle afterward. I had some bird pee spots that didn't come out but that is understandable. The whole process was quick a pleasant. I will be returning! Enjoy!
