I have been taking cars to repair shops as a single woman for decades and I am not exaggerating when I say this is the very best experience I’ve had with a mechanic. I am from out of town and Anthony correctly diagnosed and repaired my Honda Element with care and efficiency. He took the time to explain the situation, charged me a very reasonable price, and looked over the car to make sure she was road safe. He was extremely honest and kind. I told him he could have charged me triple that and gotten away with it and he waved it off. This place is the real deal and Ocala residents are lucky Anthony and team are there!

I took my truck in for a simple oil change and Specifically asked for all synthetic oil. I have a new rebuilt engine in a 1994 F250. Instead in a typical 'blame the customer' the owner said I asked for what the requirements were from Ford -- WHICH I DID not and so he put in a synthetic blend and would not tell me the brand. I have no idea what kind of oil he put in and he wouldn't tell me the brand. I asked also if he could reattach the dip stick tube. When I tried to check the oil across the street at a gas station -- I could NOT EVEN pull out the dip stick because of the way that they attached it and bent it even more. Of course I was to blame when I took the truck back and they claimed my tube was now VERY bent. They sort of fixed it. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE. They claim they are a family run business -- it is a SCAM!

I read the reviews for this company and was rather impressed by what everyone was saying so I decided to schedule an appointment to get my car fixed. I don't trust a lot of mechanics because once they see you're a female some times their prices are higher or they try to tell you more things are wrong with your car then what is really the problem. The reason I am writing this review is for several reasons. First, I don't feel like they took advantage of me at all. Second, I do know a little about cars and replaced my O2 sensor, spark plugs and the coils. So when I took my car in I didn't tell them any of that to see what they would tell me the issue was. I am happy to report when I got the call from Anthony he specifically told me that he checked these 3 things above because they might have been the problem but he saw no issues with them. After checking the car he said it was the injectors which made perfect sense and definitely not something I was going to fix myself. Third, the price wasn't terrible. This shop has earned my trust and my business from here on out and wouldn't take my car any where else. If you're looking for an honest mechanic check out O'Brian's as you won't be disappointed. Kudos to Anthony O'Brien for being an honest, truly caring man! We bought a truck he was selling this past week! Before we could even get it home, it overheated 3 times! He towed it back to the garage at his expense and told us he would either fix it or give us our money back! This was so kind of him! He could've said sorry, you bought it "as is"; but he wanted us to be happy! This is why he has such an awesome reputation! Took my car in for a full inspection. Thought I might have needed shocks, etc. A thorough check of everything was done and, to my amazement, nothing was found that needed fixing or replacing. How many "garages" would be that honest? Past experience with other businesses tells me that honesty is still alive and well as long as you entrust your vehicle to O"Briens. Five stars is just a beginning. Of course I highly recommend them.

Anthony is awesome! Quoted me a fair and square price upfront to replace my rear rotors and brake pads. Also offered to come in on Saturday since I couldn't afford the time off during the week. On Saturday I asked if he could also do an oil change and rotate the tires...he said yes, we can do that! Just refreshing to know there is still a highly qualified mechanic out there that is not in love with money like so many of them are these days... One place down the street actually wanted over $1,800 for a brake job, I told the guy that I wasn't looking to buy a used car, I just wanted a brake job. Anyhow, Anthony at Obrien's does excellent work at a great price. I am relieved to know that I have found a friendly and trustworthy place for all of my automobile maintenance and repairs going forward...I highly recommend O'Briens Garage!
