I had a check engine light on and was informed by Justin about how to get rid of it. Also my 2018 Ford Flex was in need of other basic repairs. The intake was immediate and they charged nothing for the diagnostic. I was phoned the same day with recommendations and cost which was very reasonable. I got important repairs done and my vehicle is running good as new. Oceanside Automotive also has financing options and discounts available on.some basic repairs. Would not recommend going here, horrible service. Took it in for a diagnostic, Justin assured me that my car was fixed, but when I went to pick it up the same problem was occurring, nothing was fixed, and the mechanics left tools that was being used attached to my engine. They charged me for a false diagnosis and for problems that’s did not resolve my issue. I still don’t know what’s wrong with my car and I have to take it to another shop and pay another 150-200 for another diagnostic. Horrible service. I don’t even know if they really did what they said they did. Should have reported them but I decided to take my car somewhere else.

Good experience overall. Setting up an appointment was pretty easy, and their automated system sent me several confirmations. It was a little bit more expensive than the place I normally go to for an oil change, and it took longer than the estimate they gave me by a bit. I would go back though, since the location is convenient.

Great Customer Service, with high integrity. Went in for a brake change expecting a need for all 4 brakes to be replaced they not only replaced my brakes but informed me the other set were good. Most shops in my experience in the past will just replace all 4 without letting you know the actual condition. Great work and happy customer will always return

Amazing staff here! I have been to 2 auto zones, napa car parts, waste management to try to recycle my motor oil and filters. All these stores told me they're bins are full and would send me to another location that was also full. Thank God I found this place by chance. Wonderful, kind and helpful workers. I would definitely recommend this shop if you need any services done or just need to recycle your old oil! Appreciate you guys!

TL;DR: My car needed a fix when I brought it to this shop, when I got it back it had a whole other issue. I brought my car in for a replacement alternator, they ran tests on my car and battery and called me back same day confirming that my alternator was the issue. All good. The OEM alternator that they were replacing on my car is ~ $300, this shop sold me one for $500 (ouch). Labor was $300 - fair. The price gouge on the alternator was my only gripe…until I got my car back. Day 1 of driving I had no issues. Day 2 I was driving down the highway when suddenly my A/C cuts out on me and I see that my engine is overheating like crazy. I immediately pull over and pop the hood to find that my coolant had spewed all over the inside of my engine bay, at first I thought it was because of the obviously unsecured coolant reservoir cap. I end up getting some coolant and topping it off and thought all was well. Boy was I wrong. Come to find out my coolant overflow resivoir hose has a fitting (located oddly right next to my brand new alternator) that had been snapped clean off and had been leaking coolant all over the inside of my engine bay. Now I can’t point fingers at this shop for breaking my car, but I know I didn’t have this issue prior to bringing it to them. I now am continuing to deal with this issue on my own and will not be doing business with this shop again. I do NOT recommend this shop.

Had my car towed due to my battery dying. They kept the car overnight and did an inspection to see what was causing the car to lose power. Auto zoned sold me the wrong sized battery. Advised me to go back to autozone once all the other service was completed to insure they could change my battery out for the correct one. (Big thank you!) They were able to see that it was not the alternator after all. I had mentioned that my truck was leaking gas when I filled the tank. They found the issue as well as fixed an fuel tank issue I had. And even helped put a new mirror on my truck as a courtesy as I couldn’t do it. Luis was exceptional. Constantly called with updates and kept in touch with progress of my car. My first issue was fixed within 48hrs and once I mentioned the fuel issue he had that done within two days. Could have done it soon but the part took longer to arrive. Which was no issue. Had my car back bright and early. Staff was amazing and they have Earned a forever customer. I will recommend any friends or family that needs their car service as they are a full-blown mechanic shop. That does everything in house, which is absolutely amazing that it’s a one stop shop for oil, changes, car, maintenance, car repairs, and all all that.

Mr. Luis!! Owner of the shop personally attended us. His service was impeccable. He beat dealership price, of course and other mechanic shop prices!! He saved us a few hundred dollars. We really appreciate you and your business and your honesty. We thought we needed to have an alternator replaced. He did a thorough check and told us it was only the battery although other places told us it was the alternator.

Really disappointed with how these guys tried to overcharge me on parts. Based on past work I've had done other places, their quote seemed way higher than I would expect. Looked up the exact part number they provided, they were charging $375 for a part that immediately came up on multiple stores as under $100. I understand shops making some margin on the parts, not just the labor. If it was 20-30% more than the cost I would understand. But charging over 3x the regular cost for that part seems exorbitant and like price gouging to me. The part number is aftermarket, not OEM, and they should not charge this much. Makes me wonder how much they are overcharging on the labor side.
