Very rude unprofessional, and a ripoff. Changed my sparkplugs of which four weren't even screwed in. I had to go somewhere else to find this out. He was supposed to give me a tuneup and the only thing he changed was the spark plugs for a slightly high price. I do not recommend him for any one

Desperate to get my clutch replaced I phoned Mr.Paul yesterday. The quote was excellent and he could collect at a convenient time and work on it the next day. This he did and returned it promptly as agreed. Payment was then made over the phone for the exact amount quoted. Polite, prompt and did what he said they would do. No hidden extras. He may be a good mechanic(depends- our issue was a 10 dollar fix and replace), but doesn't come across as the friendliest person. Was rude when it came to payment- assumed we would not pay him and become hostile even when I went to an atm to get cash(though my parents had already gotten it from one and were back at the house ready to pay him). He even said "I dont want any trouble when we get back"- not sure what that's supposed to mean. Would not recommend.

This post was edited. I originally posted this in 2016. I was editing the grammer. I called this man after reading all the other reviews. In my opinion, this man prey on women who do not know much about a car. I called him to come out to Rockwall to fix my sisters' car that was overheating. This man only replaced the engine coolant hose connecter on her car. He claimed he needed the piece, clamps, and a kit to fix the problem. He went to purchase the parts and did not offer or even show the receipt for the purchase. He claimed he brought the part at the dealership. After arrival back, to the location of the car. He only had clamps and the engine coolant hose connector. The guy that was with him was trying to make conversation after they returned. He told us you have to have a dealer license to purchase parts at the Volkswagen dealership. I'm a women but, I know that is a story. He replaced the piece and used the old clamps that he took off of her car to assemble the piece back together and charged $170. He got the job done so that she could get home. Keep in mind that he kept the clamps. That he was supposed to have bought and used on her car. The kit that he was supposed to have needed was never seen. I'm just sharing my experience with this man to warn others. I was going to use him when I needed some work done on my car. For the price that he charged to replace the engine coolant hose connecter on my sister's car. I could have taken the car somewhere else. I must add. After getting home, I personally called the dealership and priced the piece that he replaced on the car. He told me that he paid $50 for the part at the dealership. The man at the dealership quoted me $19 dollars and some change. The part is a special order. They do not keep them on hand at the dealership. I also priced the part at autozone. The part ranged from $5.99 to $17.99.

Showed up on time to pre-inspect used vehicle interested in purchasing. Was fair and charged a modest price and had a high-tech code reader. Quickly gave information about quality and safety. Gave a good assessment of the vehicle and pointed out things I would not have noticed at all at fault giving good negotiation leverage. Accidentally forgot money but was not hostile when I went to retrieve it. Would request service again.
