I pulled into pep boys parking lot with a tire that was about to blow out. A bubble had pushed through my sidewall. I was prepared to purchase a new tire. The lady at the counter was made aware of how dire my situation was. Also that I was prepared to buy new tires. I told her that I barely made it to the parking lot. She said she couldn't fix it until the next day. "It's a tire not a transmission" I told her. She said there were no technicians to do it. Why does pep boys have six bay doors and never more then two technicians? How long would it take to fix a tire? Ten minutes? I got a mile away before the tire blew out. Nearly crashed. I will never return to pep boys for anything. If they would have taken five minutes they could have made a sale of hundreds of dollars. Put the customer first and made sure I was safe. Very disgusted with the whole experience.

Good people and good work just make sure that if you're going to have them read codes for you, that you have done it yourself already or just know what part/area it is and when it comes to O2 sensors that they give you the right one. Don't be me and wait too long to see if its the right one. But hey, it was just one person, they're good at what they do still.ππ

I had an issue with my tires that were installed incorrectly at a Pep Boys location in another state two years ago. The threads were installed wrong, and it caused me some concern. When I brought my car into this location, the team was incredibly helpful. A very nice gentleman took care of everything, fixing the issue and reinstalling the threads properly. I really appreciated the excellent customer service and their expertise in getting things right. Highly recommend this location!

The new service manager is HORRIBLE. Right from the start he is was demeaning and extremely rude to me. I wish I wouldβve trusted my gut and took my vehicle elsewhere like I was going to do. In my over 10 years of going to this location, I have never been talked to like this or treated like this. And they are incompetent. Failed my state inspection trying to say there is an issue with a light sensor that occasionally goes on that has done this for over 3 years that Chevy said does not need to be replaced and that it would be a waste to replace b/c theyβd have to take the car apart to find which sensor it is b/c the sensor is in 2 different locations. Not to mention, pepboys passed me state inspection last year and Chevy has when I have gone to them. Then pepboys acted like they knew what to do to fix it when they donβt! My husband experienced even worse treatment and incompetency months prior. I didnβt know it was this guy until I told me husband the treatment I experienced and what they said and he said he knew exactly who I was talking about and looked in the store and said that was him. They will NEVER receive my business again.

I made an appointment for 9:30 the day before, I come for the appointment at my scheduled time, and they tell me they canβt take in my truck for another 2 hours, and that theyβll have it ready after another βfewβ hours. Whatβs the point of making an appointment? Autocare Center next door is much better. I explained my problem, and they were able to squeeze me in even though I didnβt have an appointment.

I donβt recommend. Had an appointment, they cancelled when we were there. Not professional. You need to review the booking online, why allowing everyone to have an appointment at the same time? And if not doable, why donβt you call the customer to let them know?

Scheduled 2 appts. Both times was told it would be hours to wait. I asked what isthe point of scheduling an appointment? The guy had no answer for that besides, itll be hours... Don't recommend this business to anyone. Don't waste your time unless you dont care about leaving your car all day.

My engine is making a noise. i made an appointment for an engine diagnostic on October 13th. i dropped off my jeep, and came back after they told me it was ready for pickup. they told me that the engine was making a noise because the oil was low. they charged me $120 and only changed my oil. it's october 17th now, and my car is still making the same noise that it was making before I brought it to pep boys. i even showed them a video of the exact noise that my engine was making, and when I came to pick up my jeep i didn't believe that it was just an oil change issue, because i know what a car that has not enough oil in it sounds like. the guy at the counter was irritated, but we went outside and he turned on the car for about 15 seconds. he said, "i dont hear a noise" i go inside and I pay $120 for an oil change. supposedly the low oil was the issue. if that was the issue, why is my car still making the same noise? i'm beyond irritated, and I think it's absolutely ridiculous for them to try and tell me that I only needed an oil change when there's obviously something else going on. And fix your speed bumps. why are they so high?

This has to be the worst place in York, Pennsylvania. The customer service is horrible. I had ordered tires and I went for my appointment at 1 PM and the guy that was working at the register for one he looked lost as in he didnβt even know what he was doing then to install four tires. Heβs telling me itβs gonna take two hours to install four tires and I was the only customer there so I donβt know if they had to do anything with my skin color but he was giving that vibe please everyone that resist do not go to Pep Boys on Locust Road.

My Mother had her car inspected. The gentlemen were very thorough and honest. The vehicle passed inspection. The gentleman explained that the vehicle had a bad water pump that needed replaced but this would not hinder the inspection and offered to have it repaired for her. Fortunately she has sons that could fix it for her. It is refreshing to still have honest people in the work place. They have gained another referral to their business due to their honesty.

NEED BETTER MANAGEMENT My wife came in a few weeks ago and spoke with Jay about getting 2 new tires for our vehicle. Jay was insistent that she didn't know what she needed and recommended 4 tires--before anyone looked at her car. He was so condescending and ignorant that I can not recommend this place to anyone. Go to the jiffy lube instead
