I brought my TJ to Bill with some serious issues. He helped me out, his prices are more than fair, and he didn’t leave me without a vehicle for more than a day, which he could have. If you have a Jeep I wouldn’t bring it anywhere else. I live on the south shore of MA now and I still think of bringing my Jeep 50 miles to Bill. He knows what he’s doing.

My beloved 1998 Jeep Cherokee had a long list of problems that were related and seemed dire. I took it to the regular mechanic who didn't have any answers despite exhaustive diagnostics. In desperation i took it to a dealer who couldn't find the problem, then took it to another dealer who shrugged and said there really wasn't a problem. I resigned myself to the need for a new engine and started calling around. Dead Jeep (part source, look them up) in Cumberland refereed me to Bill At Prior Service. He had it figured out in a couple hours. The Cherokee was 30% more powerful when I drove away from Prior and all the related issues have vanished. I think Bill is the Jeep whisperer or a Ph.D of Jeeps, or something.. Super pricing too.

Bill the owner was able to diagnose the problem I was having with my car that the dealership wanted to over charge me way too much for. He had my car repaired and back on the road in a day!! I was fairly charged and he stands behind all of his work. Just a really honest & nice guy.

Bill is the Jeep mechanic everyone is always looking for on Reddit. He’s professional, he knows Jeeps inside and out. He’s not lazy. And he’s reasonable. He takes his work and takes his work on Jeeps very seriously. I have gone to him several times to reverse some work, and fix a new problem and Bill takes the time to teach you what the issue was and how he fixed it (if you’re into that kind of thing). 5 stars.

If you want honest work and great prices, Bill is your guy. He’s done work on my favorite toy (2002 grand Cherokee) and my wife’s Toyota Venza and every time it has been a pleasure to do business with Bill. When my wife goes to pick up her car he explains what work has been done and shows her the old parts which makes her feel like she isn’t getting duped like you would with other mechanics. He let me swing by yesterday to take a quick look despite being swamped. Had me bring my car back today to get a better look at why my engine light is throwing this code. Bill is great! I needed a new catalytic converter and he found me a high quality one for $700 less than another shop quoted me (Xpert Auto in EP). After picking up my car, I decided to complete a few outstanding recalls at the Hyundai dealer. They discovered a ripped and leaking front axel. I called Bill and asked if he could help/if it was possible he had accidentally ripped it. (Now the dealer may have been the culprit, no way to know). Nevertheless he did the entire (about $1k) job and even refused for me to pay half! I feel bad he ate the cost but also really appreciate the gesture. So I fully recommend Prior Auto.

Bill worked on my VW EOS. My car was not getting warm. Bill found the problem and fixed the part giving me a very good price as other were going to change me much more.
