Sergey replaced engine gasket on my BMW which implied reassembling parts of the engine. Turned out that the cover that goes on top of the new gasket was deformed and, for some unknown reason, Sergey decided to disclose the information only after the completion of the gasket replacement. As a result, negative $490 on my bank account that I paid Sergey for the service and the car remains undrivable as it was before the replacement of the gasket, because it is severely leaking (picture is attached). When reached out to Sergey about the issue asking why he did not disclose this during the repair so that we could replace that part at once, instead of trying to make it up to me or instead of offering any solution at all, he advised not to hold any grudges and that I should have reached out sooner to prevent it. Feel free to draw your own conclusion out of this experience, but I personally will not come back there. Response to the owner's statement below: There could be many reasons why a client took time before coming to shop for repair: money issue, lack of free time etc. The point is, regardless, it's none of the mechanic's concern to blame a client up on the issue's of car. His job is to repair the vehicle and look at additional discoveries as an opportunity to make more money, so that I client leaves the shop happy with an operating vehicle. That is why we go there and pay our money. I asked to only replace a gasket because that was the only issue I was AWARE of. If there are other defects that arise during the repair it's mechanic's duty to notify the customer at time of discovery, not after when the job is done. And as to the review, apparently Sergey did not take his time to thoroughly read my review. I only posted it after having reached out with my concern as to "why it was not disclosed during the repair process in order to fix it at once" to which he asked to not hold grudges instead of offering any solution or suggestions which I was open to. The review was only made as the last option to warn others of what to expect at Sergey's shop. And the review is not bad, it is HONEST.
