I had an excellent experience with everyone I encountered today! I drive a Lexus CT 200h and initially took it into the dealer for a check up because the precious owner had established with them. After getting a ridiculous quote from the dealer, I reached out to Red Sun Automotive Repair and was taken care of extremely well. I saved a lot of money and felt much better with my car in their shop. I plan on being a regular client!

Was visiting from out of town and needed an oil change on my Honda; based on reviews I gave Red Sun a try. Well I can tell you from my experience that they deserve all those 5 star reviews! I also had them check my brakes and because they were able to do so without pulling the wheels they didn't even charge me. Great experience here and I really appreciate the excellent work, professionalism, honesty and integrity! Also awesome that they work on Honda vehicles as well.

Trustworthy, which goes far nowadays. Been bring my RX330 here for a while for regular maintenance. Always been great service at a decent price. Make sure to make an appointment, as these guys are busy and booked! They won't try and upsell you on stuff, in fact it's the opposite, I often think the car needs a certain fluid change or service and they say it's just fine as it is even when I ask. Hop and his guys run a tight shop and I'd highly recommend if you have an older Toyota/Lexus to stop wasting money at the dealership and go to Red Sun.

Good reliable trustworthy auto shop. Two brothers run it and are very friendly and are good at explaining what has to be done and why. One brother was a 10 year Master mechanic for Toyota and then 10 years as a Master mechanic at Lexus. Know that they only work on Toyota, Lexus, and Honda cars.

I have been coming to Red Sun since I moved to the area in 2016. I will be forever grateful that I found them. When I bought a used Toyota about a year ago, I had them check it over and they did not charge me a penny since I have given them my business for a number of years now. My car is being serviced now for its 60,000 mile service. It is possible I might need a new alternator and they will be checking that out for me. But the bottom line is, I trust Red Sun. I know they will not tell me I need a new alternator unless I truly need one. They are very busy these days and, if you need an appointment, make certain you book at least 3 weeks out because that is how long it will take to get an appointment since they are just that good that people want to take their cars nowhere else once they have worked with Red Sun.

When the Toyota dealer in Auburn tried to do an oil change on my Camry hybrid FAR earlier than was actually required for a hybrid car, the guys at Red Sun have always been spot on in their maintenance recommendations. I took my 2015 honda pilot here for a new timing belt, valve adjustment, and a few other things. Not only did Red Sun meet my expectations but they beat them. I’m very hesitant when it comes to taking my car to the shop. After doing my due diligence and looking around at local shops, these guys had me sold. They stand for integrity and perform services at a very fair price. You will get no run around from these guys, strictly professional. If you are looking for an honest mechanic to take your car, you found it. The guys here are polite, quick, and trust worthy. I took my car (Acura RDX) in twice now. Once for a strange noise that they were able to identify and fix for a very competitive price. Again recently after my electronics started popping codes left and right. They were upfront from the beginning and identified the issue and didn't try to sell me on a bunch of expensive alternatives. In the end I had to get a new battery and they identified that it was covered under warranty through Costco and told me to return it. They are good people and I would recommend them to anyone who drives a Toyota, Lexus, Honda, or Acura. I will be doing all my work through them indefinitely.

I brought in my 2002 Toyota Tacoma for front new brakes as I was told by another shop that I needed them by a certain time. I also had them check the suspension. They told me that the front brakes are good for another 5K to 10K miles and the suspension looked fine also. I was shocked to receive this news as I was waiting to receive a call telling me that I needed a bunch of work done. Not only was no work needed at this time, they also charged me nothing for the visit. Therefore, I highly recommend them and feel great about using them in the future for all of my Truck's needs.

My experience with this business has me almost at a loss for words. They went above and beyond! I am from a different part of the country and I had flown into Sacramento to buy a low mileage Toyota sequoia that was in phenomenal condition. The owner claimed the vehicle had 57,000 original miles and at 1st glance it definitely looked that way but unfortunately it turned out I was scammed. My wife called shops in the area to get a second opinion which is how we made contact with Hop and he was so kind and helpful. I don’t think he will ever fully understand how much that meant to us. He really did go above and beyond. He took the time to confirm and explain the issues I was having with the vehicle and he offered to keep the vehicle until I could figure something out with transport. He even gave me some supplies so I could keep going. Bottom line is this is a very good shop and if I was from the area id have no problem taking my vehicles to Red Sun without hesitation. I rarely give glowing reviews for mechanics, but this shop is the real deal! If you’re looking for knowledgeable, trustworthy professionals, look no further than Hop and Phong’s team! Some time ago, I brought my 2016 Lexus RX in after a dealership quoted me $4,300 to fix a broken timing belt cover seal. I was skeptical and needed a second opinion. Originally, I had an 11 a.m. appointment, but a last-minute Zoom meeting forced me to arrive right at opening. Despite a busy schedule, Hop and Phong welcomed me immediately and diagnosed the issue in just 20 minutes! Not only are Hop and Phong super knowledgeable, honest, and professional, but they also quoted me half the dealership’s price and provided expert advice that saved me from any repair costs—yes, I paid $0! I’m beyond grateful for their integrity and expertise. This shop has earned my trust, and I’ll never go back to paying $200 for an oil change at the dealership.
