Took my car in and due to illness they had my car for a month. I brought my car in because it was running hot and leaked coolant. Leo had it for a month and as soon as I drove it home it ran hot. I brought it backed and he said he replaced all the hoses. Clearly that was not the problem. When I brought it back he claimed the over flow had a leak. Paid additional money to have that replaced and the next day the car still ran hot. Called him and he said they fixed the hoses and it should not be running hot. THE HOSES aren't the issue. This shop takes advantage of anyone that does not know anything about cars. They will do ABSOLUTELY nothing and charge you. STAY AWAY

Took my Tacoma for an oil change and to replace my front brakes, my normal mechanic was too busy but I decided to try them out. The owner rold me it would take an hour for the whole job to be done and we set on the price. An hour later he calls me just to tell me that he inspected my car and the control arms on my truck was going out and that with 800 bucks he can replace them. I told I'll hold off I wanted to see for myslfe to just do the brakes and oil, after that he had a little attitude in the tone of his voice and told me that the truck will be ready in another hour. Two and a half hours later he calls me to tell me it's done then quickly hangs up. When I got there to pick up my truck the price was 30 more dollars than what we originally agreed upon. The carpets inside my truck was stain with oil foot prints then he put a mat over it to cover it up. took my car home just to find out that I was leaking oil. The next day I take it to my original mechanic for him to tell me that my control arms are perfect there's nothing wrong with them. Took my truck back to rose city after a few days to tell him I have a oil leak and I never had an oil leak before. At first he did not want to fix it but after arguing with him he decided to finally fix it and safe to say I'm never bringing any of my cars here ever again!

This is an easily accessible, clean, quick, and professional shop! The owner, Leo, stayed far past his closing time (during covid19) and was extremely thorough when checking the entire vehicle: under the hood, oil leaks, computer screening, functioning electronics- all buttons and vents, under carriage, and the tires, to ensure that the car I was bringing by, on a test drive, was going to be a good buy for me. I really appreciate business's where the people appreciate my business, want to be where they are, and want to be doing what they're doing. Rose City Automotive is definitely one of those and it shows! Leo even called me the following Monday to see that I made it back home safely and was happy with my purchase.

Leo has done great work for me - his quotes are reasonable, his turn around is great. As with all car repairs, things don't go exactly as planned. Leo did a good job of keeping me informed, communicating costs over the quote, and letting me know I needed a service that he couldn't complete.

So I called around looking for someone to install a new timing belt and other things and Leo called me and gave me a good price so I brought it down. Of course I got a call a while later saying that my radiator was cracked and I needed a new one. Since they were already working on it I could save some labor by having it replaced at that time as well. They also gave me a very good price so no complaints. They took me home and picked me up when the car was ready and the car ran great so even though it cost more than I planned I was happy with things. Until 3 days later when I am driving my car and the oil light starts flashing. I knew I had recently put oil in and the light had never gone on before so I called them and they told me to bring it in. Before I drove down there I decided to check my oil and I opened my hood and oil was covering everything. Right away I could see that that oil cap was missing. Reasonable assumption is that since no one had lifted the hood since they worked on it that they must have forgotten to replace it. I was mad but made the apparently unreasonable assumption that they would make things right. I called and talked to a mechanic who said he would talk to Leo about it. I called back a while later and was told that Leo said that he personally checked things and everything was where it was supposed to be when they finished with the car, therefore it was not their fault. HUH? I could not believe that a business owner would refuse to take responsibility for an obvious mistake and pretty much accuse me of trying to scam them. I mean, what was I supposed to gain by saying they left the oil cap off, a new engine? I told the guy to check around and see if he could find the oil cap around there and I drove back, worried the whole time about driving without an oil cap, even though I put some oil in to make sure it wasn't empty. When I got there they couldn't find the cap so they called around and found an auto parts store that had one in stock. The guy drove me down there and when it was time to pay he kind of looked uncomfortable so I asked if I had to pay and he said yes, that his boss, Leo, said they weren't responsible and not to pay for anything. I mean for a $4.50 part he created a lot of bad will. I was so furious that they refused to fix the mistake they caused and pretty much by doing that accused me of lying about it. I paid the money and to his credit the other guy did fill up the oil but I cannot believe that over a $4.50 part this guy would be willing to lose my business of anyone who was smart enough to hear this and avoid dealing with such people. I mean, do you want to take your car to some place that messes up and forgets to put something back on your engine and causes major damage and then says they didn't do it? Please, pay more money to a place that will fix any mistakes they make and not accuse you of lying when it happens. I am very disappointed that I spent all that money getting my car fixed and they won't stand behind even a small mistake they made.

Leo and his team were awesome!! I had an extra piece that needed fixing and he provided the part for me ! It was easy doing business with rose city auto! I got my car back and now me and my sons have transportation! Thanks again Leo & Team ❤️🙏 I got my control arm, axel , & ball joint repaired ! Back again in 2025 just got my husband’s alternator changed out! Same day service always friendly !

Updated 2024: I no longer use or recommend this business. I love the owner but the quality and reliability of their work has diminished. I experienced this on more than 3 different jobs they did over a few years. I gave the benefit of the doubt and hung in there for a while but can't sustain that any further. I am sorry to say this but feel it's important to do. Original Review - 2014 Awesome garage, TRUSTWORTHY owner Leo. I am 100% impressed with their work.

I had a high mileage van that I had keep going for a awhile ... There's nothing was wrong with the car.. But everything was due to be replace because of the high mileage .. Over the 2 years I own the vehicle.. I visited Leo at Rossetti auto many times.. Did the work promptly and correctly. And and one time I had we had a defective thermostat. I returned with the vehicle and he made it a priority to fix my car immediately... A decent honest guy who told what he was replacing how much would be, how long it would take.... They need more Leo's in the business.. Thank you Rose City Automotive..

These guys are the absolute worst people. I had my truck towed into this shop shop and they've done nothing but destroy my truck. Play violated Oregon statutes by not giving me a written estimate I get the truck back this piece is falling out from beneath the dash he taught my alarm system without authorization and handed me a tangled bunch of wires in a box up the price from the time that I agreed to have the work done to it when I went in and pay the final bill and there were parts missing from my truck he took the steering wheel apart and the tilt steering bar was gone broken trim broken molding. It's going to cost thousands to fix my truck now. Do yourself a favor stay away from this shop. He's got filings against him from the department of Justice, the FTC, the BBB, and the attorney general in Oregon. Worst mechanic I've ever taken a vehicle to ever.

These guys stand by their work. We had a coolant leak that persisted even after they replaced the water pump and thermostat, and the employees continued to accept our car back until it was fixed. I know mechanics don’t like seeing the same cars 2 or 3 times in the same weekend, but they were determined to help us and they did. Car is running good and has no leaks now. They were professional, kind, and forthright about this job. Will definitely bring future cars back here if I need any maintenance.

My husband took in his car on Saturday, and told Leo what was wrong. Leo said to bring it back at 9AM Monday, and he would have it done in three hours. He brought it in a little after 9, and Leo called a little after noon, and it was finished. We appreciate how honest and quickly he repaired our car! We have a few more minor repairs to do, and some repairs on our other car, and we'll definitely be back. This shop was highly recommended by some neighbors, and I definitely see why. We will pass along the recommendation too!

The owner appeared intoxicated while working on my vehicle, was arrogant and dismissive, and damaged a coolant component during a repair. When I raised the issue later, he didn’t deny drinking. Instead saying he can drink on Sundays. It’s his shop and he can do what he wants. Dude takes no responsibility and hung up on me. Anyhow, I would not trust this shop owner with any future work and find him unprofessional and frankly dangerous.
