Every star on this 5-Star review is well earned. Called for a smog check asking if they took walk-ins…I was able to sneak in a small window of availability within minutes. The most pleasant, quick, and calmest ever body shop stop I have ever had. Akuna the doggo will keep you happily accompanied :) whilst you wait if available.

This place is great. It is popular, so you do need to make an appointment. I showed up a tad late to mine but they were extremely kind about it. My smog was done in 20 minutes, no muss no fuss, and the technician kindly positioned my truck in the crowded driveway to make it easy for me to exit (without me asking). The inside of the shop has tons of character - there is so much to look at. And a sweet shop dog to boot. Will use this place for my smog checks from now on.

I first came here for a basic smog check. They were fast and easy. It was reported directly to DMV so I could register my car. But then I mentioned a tire sensor was not working. They said they could fix it. I scheduled an appointment to get that done. They fixed the sensor, changed my oil and cabin filter and did a check on the rest of my engine (it was needed). All in a single day. They were fast and the shop is fun. I love all the old bikes and toy cars. Lots to explore. I highly recommend this shop. They are busy (for good reason). Its best to schedule an appointment.

I’m immensely grateful to Ricardo, the owner. I thought I had an appointment for a smog check at 5:30, which I’d made online, but when I arrived a few minutes early, the doors were closed.. Ricardo was obviously heading out, but he came to my window. When I told him my story, he considered for only a moment before telling me to pull up and he opened up and did my smog check quickly, professionally, and with a friendly smile, though it kept him past closing.

I stopped by without an appointment in the afternoon and was greeted by a very friendly mechanic who managed to work me in. Beyond their excellent work, it’s the little things that will have me be a forever return customer. He made eye contact, he acknowledged me immediately and was friendly and had me at ease, he blocked traffic so I could back out. When I returned to retrieve my car I told the gentleman that was ringing me up how much I appreciated the great service and genuine care I received from the original mechanic. He said “that’s my son!” I generally dread getting my vehicles smogged, even with an appointment it never seems to be in the time frame that is promised and it’s very box store/upsale/over promise and I am just so pleased to have found this great local business and I was shocked at how reasonably priced the smog check was. Highly recommend! Been here in SB for 30 years and wish I had discovered them sooner.

Stopped by in the afternoon without an appointment for a smog check, was seen right away and instantly met with friendliness by both of the two gentlemen working. Fast and efficient service, and even offered me a water bottle which I appreciated. As a younger girl who knows nothing about cars, I get nervous going to auto shops, this was probably one of my best experiences. AND the smog check was inexpensive! In and out in under 20 mins and spent less than $60:)
