By far the the BEST mechanic EVER !!! Mr. Tyler is a true mechanic and man of his word. He is very knowledgeable,professional and also a master of his craft. This company goes over and beyond to provide great quailty work and a great customer experience to match.I am giving five stars for the work and their prices are very fair and you also get beyond what you actually pay for. You also get a commited mechanic that dosent stop until the job is done and correct to assure that you are back on the road SAFELY. Its definitely not about the money with this company. He is the most honest guy I've met and gets to you very quickly. We thought we had to come out of hundreds of dollars on a fuel pump but he check one more than and turns out my sensors wasn't working and I just needed gas. I will keep him as my mechanic, it hard to find someone that will give it to you straight forward without guessing the issue and it turns out to be something else... Thanks Steve, you rock

Steve was great! My car was not starting. We didn't know if it was a battery or an alternator issue. He explained the possible diagnoses and walked me through everything. Turns out it was the battery. Got me a replacement battery. I initially called at 8 am and at 10 am my car isiin working condition. Less than 2 hours from when he actually showed up! Will definitely call them again when another issue comes up.

Best experience I’ve ever had! Will be recommending them to everyone! My cars oil pressure switch was stuck on. This is the first car I have had to take to a mechanic outside of regular services. My engine light (code P06DE) lit up on a Friday night. I looked up shops that were open Saturday and found Shaffer’s. I messaged them, but my shop would be open by their next opening, so I stuck to the usual. After three visits to the old shop for various attempts to quell the code - none of which worked - and was quoted 1200-1500 by them & other shops I was extremely fed up and ready to do it myself. So I messaged Shaffer’s again and set up an appointment. Due to our house on sale, I was not able to be on the property, they worked out a plan with me to meet at a different location to have my car worked on. I picked up the part I knew I needed before I arrived, but upon taking a closer look, the tech (Tyler) found the sensor was stuck inside the oil cooler assembly, and would have to replace the entire unit instead. He explained how each worked, showed me the sensor (and how exactly it was stuck), and showed me what I needed to get. He found the lowest priced one could get the same weekend, and sent me the link so I could order it. Once I got the part, I dropped it off and he had my car ready next morning. I had a few questions about the repair, and just the car (I’ve never owned a dodge) in general. He answered each thoroughly and patiently. And just like the first day, showed me what he was doing with an explanation as to why he was doing it. Very rare for a mechanic, in my experience. I enjoy learning, especially about cars, so this was an awesome experience for me! I truly appreciate the Shaffer’s team for helping me through my first big car repair, especially now that I am 1000 miles away from family. I can not thank them enough, 100% the best (and most fair priced!) mechanic you will find! My car is driving better than when I bought it.

Horrible experience with this company. The tech they sent out was half a tech.... Although very nice guy. He shows up in a car that is in need of service itself. The coordinator if you want to call her that is not what you think. She's more then likely the owners wife taking calls and has zero clue to how cars work or how to take notes for that matter. During a conversation before approving service and a purchase of the new part that I had to provide I explained that the tank would have to be drained to complete the service properly. This was forgotten and or disregarded when the installation of the new part took place. I even had a conversation with "office" and "tech" on how I could purchase the equipment to have it drained. They disregarded my efforts and suggestions to do it their way. Low and behold, after my service with them my truck was still not working properly. I had it looked over by the dealer and they had damaged a fuel vent valve on the fuel tank, the fuel pump was floating around the tank and not mounted properly and the fuel seal was not installed correctly resulting in a fuel leak that could have had severe complications to me or my family. I would suggest only using their services for smaller jobs or jobs with less technical experience. Response from the business is it's not our problem. Good luck! Good luck if you use these guys.

I had a window regulator go out on my vehicle. With rain coming, it was important for me to get this fixed quick. I contacted Schaffer Mobile Mechanic late in the evening and they were very responsive. Steve came out at 9:30 the next morning and replaced the regulator. Additionally, he ran a diagnostic on my car (no issues) and did a visual check on my engine. He explained what he was doing and gave me advise on how to maintain my vehicle. Great service and I would HIGHLY recommend Schaffer Mobile Mechanic to anyone needing any vehicle repair.

I’ve worked with Shaffer’s for a number of repairs on my 2006 Scion XB and it’s always an amazing experience! Not only have they serviced my vehicle but the mechanics that come out educate you on why something is not working and what they’re going to do to fix it. Had my Ranger's fluids flushed and replaced today and had everything checked out. I must say, Steve was very professional and had a wide range of knowledge about cars. He identified and showed me everything in which needed to be replaced. Very reasonably priced as well. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a mechanic. I called ‘Shaffer Mobile Mechanic Service’ to get a quote on replacing my pickup truck’s rear shocks and front struts and coil spring assemblies. I just needed labor since I was buying the parts myself. I had been working on my truck for the past couple of years and know my way around it but this time I needed help. Christy answered my call and after I gave her my vehicle info and what I wanted she came back to me with a VERY REASONABLE quote for the labor that Steve could perform at my truck’s location at home. A local shop that I have gone to for a few other services were much higher in their quote to me for the same work at their shop. With that in mind and that Steve would be coming to where my truck was to do the work made it very easy to decide to go with Christy and Steve. Steve arrived as scheduled and changed out all the parts I provided. He also inspected other parts of the truck that were in the areas he was working and found a problem with one of my brake hoses that would have been a huge headache down the road (and had me stuck on the road, and possibly in an accident) if it wasn’t addressed. Needless to say I bought the necessary parts and Steve was able to get me on his schedule the next day to take care of it. Steve is a thorough professional. He will assess what you want and let you know what is and what should be for your particular job, but he leaves it up to you as to what you want done. Shaffer Mobile Mechanic Service is like having a good friend who owns an A+ shop that comes to you with a discount. I highly recommend them for your automotive repair needs. They have my repeat business. --updated 02/10/2019- -and there has been repeat business with Shaffer Mobile Mechanic since this review was first posted. Since then my truck's front wheel hubs, which were original and in need of replacing. Again, great price for the excellent work on replacing them after I bought the parts. Most recently my cooling system failed without warning while I was driving to work on the Crosstown. - I made it to work and I thought the engine had blown a gasket from the amount of coolant that was all over the engine. I had it towed home and Steve came out the next day to to diagnose and told me that it was just the water pump. I was able to get the part locally and Steve was able to come by the next day (on a Saturday morning) to drain the remaining coolant out of the system, replace the pump and the fan clutch (which was also on its way out) and he was done in a couple of hours.. Truck is back on the road for much less than it would have cost at a shop. Again - they will continue to have my business.

I contacted Shaffer’ mobile service on a Thursday evening and they had a mechanic (Stephen) at my home the very next morning. I had a fuel line leak that was not an easy repair and Stephen was able to troubleshoot the problem and take care of it in less than a few hours. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained what he was doing each step of the way. He did not mind me around while he works and the pricing was less than expected. I was hesitant to call a mobile mechanic because I thought for sure they would cost more than a shop mechanic but I was wrong. I am going to use Shaffer’s with any future auto issues and I will recommend them to my friends. Thank you Stephen and Shaffer’s for making the repair a positive affordable experience.

Steve is the best mechanic I have ever worked with. He is professional and knows almost immediately what is wrong with the car. We have used 3 times now on different cars and always appreciate how fast and professional he is. We love not leaving our cars at a shop hoping they finish it before the end of the day!
