Add my name to being a fan - Competent, friendly and fair priced is Sharps. They put in a new clutch and flywheel on my 07 Ford Focus, then couple of weeks later had to put in a starter as well. Old girl drives great now. When the starter died I was right by that Burger King there and just pushed it over to the shop myself. I was sweating and huffing and puffing, lol. Trish, their office manager, offered several times to get me water, etc. Very nice of her. This my go to place for now on. (it's busy though, make sure you call and schedule ) Everyone is keeping their car nowadays.

I've heard nothing but great things about this place, so I decided to give them a shot, and I'm not impressed. I take my truck in, and they tell me I need a new transmission and elaborate on what's wrong with it. They don't tell me anything but the astronomical price to do just that. I'm not a car guy, and I would assume many people they talk to you aren't Car Guys either, so when I get the paperwork, I would at least expect a detailed explanation why it's a transmission and not just because it won't move when it's in gear so basically all I got was the price tag of $4,100 plus whatever for a new transmission I'm not even sure if that included the install or not.

Live three hours away, was down in Indy for the weekend. My truck blew a spark plug out the side of the motor on a Sunday night. With no shops open I only had reviews to go by. This place didn't let me down. I dropped it off with my keys and a note, then went home hoping that they could do the work, and do it at a fair price. I was warned by a local mechanic friend that this could be a very expensive repair, and it would probably take the shop a few days to get to it, but not here. What I feared would be well over $1000 turned out to be only $260. I was hoping I would be able to pick it up by the end of the week, but instead I picked it up the next day do to their speed. I felt so much trust in them because they could of told me anything and in my situation there wasn't anything I could do but accept it, instead they took the time to explain everything to me and didn't try to do anything that didn't need to be done. I felt so much trust in them that I then gave them a list of things to do. They did a great job fixing my truck and giving it a tune up. They got it in quickly, did a great job at a great price. My only concern is now my new mechanic is over three hours away from my house, but to me it's well worth the trip. Will be doing business with you again. Thank you

I always get excellent service at Sharp's Automotive. They are straightforward, honest, use top quality parts, and have fair prices. The shop is clean and neat, too. I will continue to recommend that people choose Sharp's as a cost-effective alternative to a dealer for service. I have been using them for many years for all of our cars. They do simple stuff to the most advanced. Glad to have them in my "toolbox".

Everyone at Sharp's was extremely kind, honest, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I had come to them for a second opinion after visiting a chain auto care store. Sharp's mechanic explained honestly and clearly what was wrong with my vehicle and explained exactly what was going to need to be fixed for safe functioning. I felt the mechanic was honest and open with what was wrong-no fluff, no extra, and no scamming. They are way beyond more trustworthy than the chain auto care shops! The chain I went to said I was going to have to fix 3 times as many things and the chain store was going to charge me over $1,000 MORE than Sharp's did (every feature/part was cheaper at Sharp's). Definitely recommend Sharp's Automotive for a quick, efficient, honest, thorough, and reasonably priced auto care!

I took my vehicle in for an electrical relearn- I was told by Dustin the process was not on my vehicle. I loved the honesty! They could have just charged me for doing nothing and sent me on my way but they didn’t. Would send my vehicles in again with that kind of honesty for sure!

Got the AC recharged for a 2014 Ford Explorer at "another shop." A few days later I had green refrigerant leaking from above the rear driver's side tire. Original guess was a compressor failure that "the other shop" didn't want to resolve because the estimated time to the fix it was labor intensive. Got a fair ballpark estimate from Dustin at Sharps sight unseen. Took the Explorer to him and he was able to fix the issue for less than the original estimate. Dropped the vehicle off on a Tuesday evening and had it back Wednesday afternoon. Lower expense than expected plus quick turnaround time equals a happy customer.

I called Sharps Automotive after my car started making an unusual noise near the radiator fan. Dustin answered the phone, asked me a few questions, and told me that although they were slammed, I should bring it by. I walked into the shop and Dustin greeted me. The phone rang, he apologized for the disruption and spoke to the person for a moment. After getting off the phone, he mentioned how much he appreciates the person who is normally there to help customers. His true appreciation for one of his employees/teammates was all I needed to hear to know I wanted to support the business. He dropped what he was doing and checked my car out. After maybe 5 minutes of inspection, he told me to leave him the keys and that he would have it fixed by closing time. He called me 30 minutes later and had already identified the problem as well as one that was going to be an issue in the not too distant future. Dustin gave me options for how to proceed and then had my car fixed within a couple of hours. Other auto shops I called couldn't get me in for days and required me to leave my car with them all day long. Dustin got me in on short notice, identified the problem quickly, and then fixed it (quickly) for a fair price. I will use Sharps Automotive for all of my vehicle repairs moving forward.

My first experience wan in 2007 and he did a wonderful job of fixing my car and at far cheaper than quoted from others. To today calling and dropping my car off same day. Trish answered with a smile I cam hear thru the phone. Pleasant and helpful made a schedule for my wife's car and I have no doubt they will take care of it with same professionalism from answering phone to driving home, consistency is what you get. Much needed place needs to be cloned and taught to other service companies. Thanks Chris and crew. Sharps is my shop.

EDIT 7-31-24: TlThey charged me for something they didn't ultimately do. I guess my first visit was a fluke because this time I went in to get my air conditioner serviced and they began by condescending to me by asking if I knew that it was turned off, then they railed me for putting in canned refrigerant (which worked for a couple summers and no one else had told me I couldn't do) and they charged me $185.41 just to put refrigerant in my car, which i would not have agreed to in the beginning. They justified that by saying that the machine they use costs a lot of money, so I guess they want you to pay a "this machine is expensive" fee for every time they use one? I wouldn't have agreed to it if that were an item in my bill that justifies that expense regardless. They then told me that I could leave my car with them for a few days to find the leak, but there would be an extra charge for that, incredibly enough. So know that going in. It sucks real bad that they ultimately ended up condescending, as a femme I was very happy I had a place that didn't. Sigh. Back to the drawing board. ETA: he could have tried to explain a high cost for only refrigerant in a civil way and he didn't. My point was that he charged me for services he did not do; We agreed that price would be for putting refrigerant in AND fixing a problem, and he did not fix the problem. What's more infuriating is that he wanted to charge me another service fee for keeping it FOR DAYS to find a leak. It was unacceptable because of that. He charged me for services he did not do and treated me like I was inept. ------- My original review: I love it here. They're wonderful, they have great prices and they do the best they can for keeping your bill low. And I've never been condescended too! Highly recommend.

Another great experience at Sharp’s- third vehicle that I’ve entrusted them with. Personable, polite, detailed. Chris takes the time to explain everything and give options so you can make informed decisions on what to prioritize for your vehicle. Very trustworthy. The receptionist is knowledgeable and detailed in her response. Small waiting room, but I was able to work on my laptop while I waiting. Burger King is a quick walk away for a quick bite. Highly recommended. They have done exhaust, electrical, driveline, suspension, brake, and inspections for me and I’ve been satisfied every time.

Heard a popping noise on my front. Took it to IMC Tires and they it was the tie rod end, and after paying them to repair my vehicle it was still doing the same thing! I reluctantly took it Sharps ; one of the mechanics dropped me off at home. I received a call about 30 minutes afterwards and I was told that my struts were loose. They fixed my issue and no issues since!👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

Sharps treated me fairly and fixed my car quickly. I’m a first time customer and they went above and beyond. Other shops said they couldn’t find an issue and Sharps figured it out in a day. Come here if you need a mechanic that will do right by you.

negative stars for me. DO NOT reccomend. took my car here after it got stolen and my insurance paid them to fix everything and my car is in even worse condition leaving this shop. They don't take fault for their mistakes. 1, broke my antenna off my car and took then 2 months to replace it. 2. after driving off the lot my engine seized. 3. They overfilled my oil tank with dirty oil. 4. put my steering wheel on crooked.. 5. my car wont lock at all. 6. they threw away my spare keys to a set and said “you don't need them". Not to mention their customer service! Trish (receptionist) needs to be fired, completely disrespectful and has no clue what she is talking about.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place over charged me for labor and admitted to it. I had to come back for a refund. I originally told the receptionist the back story of the work I was asking and they took it as they wanted to add another diagnostic fee when I never asked for the vehicle to be diagnosed. I was promised they would look at the work they’ve already done on the vehicle if my check engine light came back on, for free. The check engine light did come back on. I brought my vehicle back to be bombarded with attitude and told that it was something else other than what was fixed and they weren’t going to pull it in to review their work. I will never bring my car to this shop again. They will over charge you and they do not keep their word. They try to get more money out of you if you are a girl. My boyfriend called up there and they immediately wanted to give the refund and immediately apologized. I would’ve never got my money back if they didn’t talk to a man about the situation. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!

Sharps is my go to mechanic for all types of issues ranging from door locks to engine problems. Their customer service is great, I’ve never had issues with any of the work they’ve completed, and I recommend them to friends and family whenever possible. Their prices are very reasonable and they have never tried to push additional services or repairs that are not needed. I definitely recommend that you start with them the next time you need a vehicle repaired.

I highly recommend Sharps! Our entire family takes vehicles to Sharps for all types of repairs and maintenance. They have done electrical work, changed oil, diagnosed engine issues, repaired brake lines, and all manner of other things for our family. We have always had a positive experience. Plus, their customer service is great. It’s so nice to hear a polite, kind voice on the other end of the phone when dealing with car repairs.

Took my car up there to see why I was overheating and they told me it was the radiator cap and they completely missed that. It was the time chain in the water pump after they fix that. It was still overheating and the best option he had was to put filler in the engine blocks and more places to see if it was sealed never take your car here. I was charged $155 for a radiator cap and I was charged $1300 for them to fix my water pump that sits inside the time and chain and these are the results that they let me pull off the lot with. Told me it was $2500 to fix head gaskets found a better place to do it for seven
