My daughter and her friend were humiliated, harassed, and threatened here this evening when they stopped for snacks and drinks. My daughter was yelled at, the people demanded since she was riding in the same vehicle as her friend whom bought alcohol for herself that they return alcohol already purchased and on the vehicle and when my daughter refused to give her identification or her name since she did nothing wrong nor is she legally required to as she wasn’t even at the counter or looking at anything but snacks, they threatened to push the panic button and call the police bc she was arguing about not having to identify herself or her friend having to return something already purchased. My daughter is of mixed race and all the ppl harassing her and her friend made her feel racially profiled, humiliated and threatened. I will never Give them my business again and I will be seeking further advice on how to handle this incident.

I love Sheetz and for the most part you get consistently awesome service from location to location. Unfortunately however this location over the last year has become rather meh. The food quality has slipped tremendously. Fried products are soggy, orders consistently missing items, etc... I will give Sheetz credit they go out of their way to fix an issue. It just gets frustrating to constantly have issues. Like today we ordered fries with boom boom sauce. We get home to discover we have the sauce but no fries. I know they will make it right but that doesn't diminish the frustration of having to drive back to the store to get the fries.

This place is ALWAYS busy and packed both inside and out - which sometimes make service, both at the food counter and at the registers, take a little while.
But it is clean, the staff is usually friendly and the food, once you get it, is usually pretty decent. I prefer the Sheetz in Halifax for their quicker service and roomy atmosphere.

I went into Sheetz yesterday afternoon as I do several days a week. I did my usual thing of walking up to the counter and asked for a box of Marlboro lights. The manager was working the register and tells me I can go to the self check out station to pay. I told him I have to come to the counter and ask for the cigarettes. He politely tells me I can stand at the self check out and wait there to ask for my cigarettes and I am the reason there is a line of people waiting to pay. I have been a loyal customer for 20+ years and just wanted to purchase a pack of cigarettes. He then proceeded to go on and on about how my time is valuable to him. The dude could've sold me a pack of smokes 6 times while he was lecturing me. I will take my business elsewhere where I can just ask for a pack of smokes and purchase them . Great management skills dude.

I stop in at this Sheetz 1-2 times a week to get gas & then always go inside for a drink, snacks or food. It's usually late evenings. The employees are always nice and the store always clean. There's 1 special cashier who is an older gentlemen named Bob. Bob is ALWAYS very friendly, personable, helpful, and always asks how customers are doing with a friendly smile. I worked in retail for many years and truly appreciate Bob's friendly smile, positive attitude, helpfulness, and personable personality because I know its NOT an easy job at all! So thank you Bob for ALL you do! I know you don't know this but you have made a few bad days of mine get better just by stopping at this sheetz & having you as my cashier with your big, friendly smile asking how am I doing today .

Went to this location this morning. Been going for 12 years. I had an older $50 bill. I have used them there before. No problems. Today they said their money drop wasn’t reading it. Which it did that the last time and took multiple try’s. The supervisor was called and said we’re just not going to accept it because it’s old. I said it’s legal tender you have to take it can I speak to your manager. The store manager came and looked me dead in the eye and told me idk why you need to speak to me. What he told you is correct and we are a private company and can refuse service at any time even if it’s a brand new bill. So I decided to pull my debit card with no words and said ok can you just ring me up. And the store manager told me I can deny service to any one and denying you service. Please leave. So embarrassing. Making it seem like I did something wrong. Power trip store manager. Horrible experience.

The farther east I traveled on Linglestown Road from Front Street, the cheaper the premium gas cost. I ended up at the Sheetz Colonial Road.
Convenient tap and go at the gas pump.

I was excited for the new Sheetz to open. Just stopped in for some Fresh Brewed Ice Tea…….. Surprise! Surprise! Sheetz decided to put in a fountain tea dispenser that tastes horrible. No more fresh brewed tea! The layout is very simplistic. I guess the large self check out and the walk in beer cooler is their main focus moving forward.

I locked my keys in my car and 3 employees made sure I was comfortable waiting for my roadside assistance. I only caught Dan's name, but a lady and a gentleman also helped me as I had no phone. You guys are amazing, Thank you!

Stopped in to use the restroom, I let the employees know that there was blood on the seat and needed immediate attention. 10 minutes later no one had arrived to clean. I was informed by management that someone was already in the ladies room cleaning. I asked how when no one had come to the cleaning closet to get bleach! Moments later the employee who was inside using the restroom came out and said she taken care of it! I asked her how when she never came to grab a cleaner? She walked to the front, and grabbed the keys to get the cleaner, and gloves to actually do the job that needed to be done. I suggest a camera review, and reprimand for all three female employees who were working this evening!

Really really slow MTO when there's barely any customers. Takes forever don't go here if you're on the run like most people are in a gas station. They don't seem to care.

This Sheetz store was open on Thanksgiving! Even though it was a Holiday all the staff were smiling and friendly. The wait for my specialty drink was much shorter than I expected. Happy Holidays Sheetz!

Clean and Well-Maintained!
Stopped at this Sheetz on a road trip and was really impressed by how clean everything was. The bathroom was spotless no trash, no weird smells, and everything was stocked. The store itself was tidy and well organized, making it easy to find what I needed quickly. You can tell the staff takes pride in keeping things in good shape. Definitely one of the nicer gas station stops I’ve had!

Even though this Sheetz has been open for awhile, this was my 1st visit to the new style for Sheetz. I love the open, airy feel with lots of natural light. The aisles are really wide. As soon as you walk in, you can easily see each aisle and see where everything is. I think it is a great modern improvement. They also kept some outside seating as well as inside seating. Very clean. You can watch them making your food, which I liked. Very friendly employees. Only downside...no drive thru. I can't wait until the one on Rt 22 is finished!

I go to the store on Carlisle pike all of the time and usually go through drive through. I am not going to go into a lot of detail but I live in Harrisburg off Progress Ave and I travel to the store in Mechanicsburg to get my soda with a "Specialty Straw". I ordered it as I always do and today was met by 2 people that have a lot to learn about customer service.
I have over 45 years in customer service from being a Volunteer Fire Fighter to General Manager for a major restaurant chain both on the franchise and corporate stores. I have trained many people in the importance of good customer service. It drives business to you and enables management to give good raises vs not so good ones because of losing customers.
All because I asked for a simple straw, just as I have for many years. I have no problems going to any store and getting the same and ask for that straw. There are reasons for me asking for that straw and not just because I like using the larger straws.
I also ordered a peach flavored tea from the fountain which we did not get so I turned around and went back to the drive through window to be met by the bearded guy in the grey polo. I explained the problem told him it tasted like regular tea. His reply shocked me and really pissed me off. He said well it is peach tea. I again explained the flavor was that of regular tea and his response and body language really was upsetting to me.
Taking a deep breath, I calmly said, "You know what, placing the drinks back into the window, why don't you just put my money back on my card. Taking my card but did not know how to do the transaction he ended up giving me cash back. I said to my husband to look up the customer service number. Handing me the cash he said do you want me to give you the number, I smiled and told him that would not be necessary. His smug response to me telling my husband to look up the number was uncalled for.
Customer service goes beyond being friendly or calling next person please. It is about knowing that each person that comes into your establishment help them to get a pay check or raise when the time comes. It is about bringing that customer back who will bring others. Remembering people can usually read if your sincere or not. Smiles cost nothing but can have far reaching results on someone having a bad day. Yes even when you are having a bad day.
The other thing that upset me is I tried to describe one of the manager who I who I thought was a kitchen manager but she said well there is no one here that looks like that. UH_HUH, well now!
Whenever you go to this location which was my favorite Sheetz to go to, even when I wanted food. Now, not so much. I will visit soon when I know that the GM will be there. I called customer service which was very friendly and most helpful.
All of this because they did not want to give me a straw. Petty, perhaps so but when you get the same service for the same product for a very long time, and you run up against this type of service from 2 people one being a supervisor, it rubs me the wrong way.
I went to another store I frequent near me and I got my drink and big red straw happily from a Harrisburg location. Customer service is the point of this. How you speak to someone not only with words but body language is important when working with the public. I am not one that believes that customers are always right but I do believe good customer service will make things right.
Until the next review, Keep smiling!
Eddie
