I took my 2015 Ford F-150 to Silvera & Sons for several issues, including a water leak from the sunroof drain, engine stalling, and tire pressure sensors. Initially, the communication seemed good, and the quoted prices appeared reasonable. However, my experience quickly went downhill. I specifically needed five things fixed on my truck, with the engine stalling issue being the most critical. The mechanic assured me that the problem was due to an aftermarket part, and replacing it with an original part would solve the issue. I also asked for other repairs, such as fixing the rear tire sensors, but when it came time to pay, the price for those sensors had doubled from the original quote. Despite paying $998.93, the main problem—the engine stalling—wasn’t even resolved. After further inspection, I was given an additional quote of $3,040 to fix the same issue, which other mechanics quoted me around $2,000 to $2,500 for. I asked for a refund for the parts that didn’t fix the problem and received $144.95 back from the $998.93 I initially paid. When looking at the breakdown of charges, I was charged $160 for an hour of labor to replace a part, but I witnessed the mechanic replace it in less than a minute. The labor charges totaled $695, which seems excessive for the work that was actually done. The parts totaled $241.91, which appears reasonable, but the overall labor cost felt highly inflated, especially given that some of the issues were not addressed or resolved. In conclusion, while the parts prices were fair, the labor charges were extremely high, and the main issue I came in for was left unresolved. I felt overcharged and unsatisfied, especially when I was later quoted an additional $3,040 for repairs that should have been part of the initial service. I ended up taking my truck elsewhere and am now deciding what my next steps will be.

Read their reviews and figured I would give them a try. I got my AC compressor fixed and from the get go Mark was transparent on his quote to fixing and replacing, he gave me options. He was able to take care of the compressor and even after getting a faulty part he made sure that I was confident that I would be on the road that day. He even offered his car so I can go do my errands and come back to pick up my truck. After 2 days his team decided to do a follow up call and ensure I was happy and that there was no issues. We bring in our personal and work vehicles exclusively to Silvera & Sons. Mark is a fantastic mechanic and we don’t have enough kind words to say to the great power team between Natasha in the front desk and Mark. We had first brought our work truck to Pep boys for a total of $1400.00 quote regarding leaks. They stated and we quote “ the heater hoses were leaking and we need to change them in order to fix the issue. “ Come to find out, that once the heater hoses were swapped, it did not fix the problem. Anytime we have taken our vehicles anywhere but to Mark and Natasha we end up either over paying OR attempting to fix an issue but never getting it fixed correctly. Lessons learned. We have been taking our vehicles to Silvera and Sons now for the past couple of years. They are literally the best, most honest small business owners we have met in the mechanic shop industry.
