Horrible experience, I lost my windshield wiper in the Car Wash from the blowers. In addition, the wiper smacked the paint of the car as it flew off. I’m disappointed with Pedro, the manager, who claimed no responsibility and offer one month of car wash service. I refused it as I care for my vehicle and Splash Car Wash Express shows no care and accountability for the damage their machines make.

I had a terrible experience with Splash Car Wash in Derby, CT, and I will never use their services again. My car was severely damaged during the wash when the brushes forced open my fuel door, ripped it off the car, and destroyed it by rolling it over. There were no warnings or signage to indicate this kind of damage could occur or that I would be held responsible. When I brought the issue to the manager’s attention, I was told it was a “manufacturing defect” and advised to contact my car dealer. However, Dowling Ford in Cheshire confirmed that the damage could only have been caused by the car wash brushes and that Splash is responsible for the repairs. When I spoke to Pedro at Splash Car Wash, he refused to take any responsibility, insisting the damage wasn’t their fault and that I should cover the cost myself. He also refused to provide a manager’s name and directed me to a corporate number (203-324-5400) that leads nowhere—no callbacks, no way to speak to someone. This company showed no accountability or willingness to help, leaving me no choice but to pursue legal action for the repairs. I highly recommend avoiding Splash Car Wash to prevent similar issues. Their lack of customer care and professionalism is appalling. UPDATE: They have claimed responsibility and are having it repaired.

So getting the membership is easy but to cancel you have to jump through hoops. I called and was on hold over 30 minutes the man was rude. I couldn’t understand anything he was saying . I asked for a supervisor and he said they don’t have one . All I want to do is cancel my membership it’s funny how great service they have for you to pay them monthly but to cancel it’s horrible

Best car wash in CT, they have it all covered. There’s a Mat room that you can auto clean your mats or do it by hand in the wash sink. Tire air at all vacuum spots. Now I hear there getting a Tornado that has a blow gun to blow out your vents inside. The attendants are all courteous , helpful and friendly. I bought 1 micro fiber as I drove thru and the attendant gave me 2 for price of 1. Best car wash for your money , clean and orderly. I won’t go anywere else. Thanks Andy

Came to the Shelton/Derby location for a quick car wash but I was met with the best service a man could ask for. I accidentally vacuumed my car key up. This is the first time I’ve been to Splash in Derby. It was the best experience I’ve had at a car wash. All the attendants were very helpful. Especially Corey! He was was super nice. He explained the packages to me and helped me choose the best one for my needs. My car looks brand new, like I just drove it off the car lot. They even have free vacuums. Well worth getting a monthly membership! I will definitely be going back. Thank you

Update. Dave called me back and had no explanation that the fact my car was intact before the wash and magically not after the wash. The body shop I took my car to said it was broken from top to bottom around the bolt. Dave’s response was verbatim. “its plastic and plastic was designed to break.” Rather than it be broken from the car wash it was also more likely I broke my spoiler from closing my trunk? It makes absolutely no sense at all how a car was fine before and damaged after. Will be seeking damages in a court of law because they do not want to take accountability. Unreal experience and he even offered me a detail or a free month of washes like I would bring my car back after it was damaged here. Also after speaking to multiple mechanics and credited body shops I am apoplectic because I feel they are treating me like I am a female that knows nothing about cars even though I grew up working on cars my entire life. Absolutely amazing until you have an issue with your vehicle being damaged. I’ve had my license plate cracked in half to the point my last digit fell off. Which I made MULTIPLE comments about and they did nothing about it. also had a vacuum become unhooked and FALL ON MY HEAD which left a knot. I let it go because Pedro or Marc never made me aware that I could file an incident report. All they did was laugh it off. They are so worried about their reviews and their numbers. Their personalities are clearly FAKE. Except for Marc he seems genuine. Unfortunately he was not there today. No professionalism. No accountability. Pedro was incredibly dismissive about the damage caused to my vehicle. Attempted to gaslight me into believing spoilers just fall off of cars. Regional manager called me and said he would review the footage and when I asked him if he would provide Irrefutable proof that my car was damaged before I entered the car wash he told me to have a lawyer Subpoena his videos as they are his personal property. Absolutely disgusting way to handle damage claim. I am beyond appalled. Dave the regional manager also hung up in my FACE when I asked him to outline what “reviewing” his findings were that I have to wait 5-7 business days for and if I will be able to see a picture or video of my car having damage before the carwash. he skirted the question completely saying he answered it when he did not. I am DISGUSTED with this behavior. Incredibly distraught and can not believe the way I was treated. Also I was the one who had to bring up the incident report I didn’t even know it was an option because Pedro was SO dismissive about it and walked away. Also when I came back after speaking to another person that was also damaged by this car wash to fill out the incident report. it looked like they were recalibrating the car wash brushes, which was previously leaning to the right. And Pedro seemed annoyed that I somehow found out about the incident report.

Really disappointed with the quality of the actual car wash, the rear of my car was still completely dirty and there were still multiple dirty areas on both sides of my car. Also, I do not like having a membership offer forced upon me and then to be treated angrily when I do not purchase it. So when you pay $20 for a car wash it is not good enough and your vehicle is not completely cleaned. Maybe if I had a membership (which I would not use enough to make sense) the employees would be nicer and my car would get fully cleaned???

I am genuinely shocked by the treatment I received at this location. I’ve been to other locations of this car wash and always had great experiences, which made this encounter even more disappointing. When I pulled up, the employee immediately started aggressively pushing the monthly membership. I repeatedly said no and explained I just wanted a regular wash. Instead of respecting that, he became rude and dismissive. I felt pressured into explaining my personal schedule, and his response, “Well I work three jobs and have kids, you can make time,” followed by an eye roll and sigh… was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. While trying to pay, he tossed a towel at me without explanation and treated me like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. With my confusion he said “well ur paying for a towel, you clicked the button”. I was frazzled with how uncomfortable he made me feel I don’t know what I was doing I was just clicking the green button to pay and get through the wash but I just wanted to backup and leave. He did help me go all the way back to restart on the screen. The entire interaction felt hostile and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, as my car was about to enter the wash, he went inside and started clicking around on the control panel, which honestly made me feel uneasy about whether my service would even be done properly. I will never return to this location. I am disgusted by how I was treated, and this experience does not reflect the brand’s usual standards at all.

This location is outstanding great customer service. The monthly membership is definitely worth it. I feel great vibes when I come here.!! You get to use vacuums and the Matt room with the membership the price is responsible! Everybody is attentive! I’ve seen the same people work here for a while! Good to see for a business!
