I have been going to Steinman for two years now and I am so happy with his services. He takes great care of my car and always takes time to explain to me what is going on or what to watch or listen for. If their doing my oil change and notice that my brakes aren’t looking good than he will call me or let me know when I pickup the car that I only have about a month or two left on them. He has always been 100% honest with me. I have never felt taken advantage of or sold something that didn’t need to be replaced. I can’t say that for other places I’ve been. Sometimes as a women you feel that and his business is so honest. I won’t go anywhere else.

Well we have a 2015 equinox that all of sudden quit running. After some research and word of mouth told me about Steinman we had it towed to his shop. From the moment the car arrived John and team kept us updated on what was going on. Only part I didn’t like was spending 6,000$ for a new motor lol but who does like spending that kind of money. Far as service, professionalism, courteous and customer service these guys nail it. I received multiple phone calls about every step of the way. Now my car is running great again and have had no issues with the quality of work. I am a customer for life now.

Twenty minutes before closing for the day I called Steinman and they encouraged me to drive to their location to troubleshoot my A/C problem. I received courteous, no-rush, straight-forward, "after-hours" attention. The problem and repair was discussed without pressure tactics and parts were ordered in advance without any financial obligation, even though I was undecided about having the repair done there (only because I was traveling through the area and wasn't sure I'd be able around for the repair to be done the next day). Repair was done quickly and well and with a long warranty. Thank you!

I recently purchased a car from this dealership, and within less than a month, the engine broke down completely. It's clear to me that I was sold a defective vehicle. Despite contacting the dealership to address the issue, their response was unhelpful and dismissive. I am deeply disappointed with their lack of accountability and poor customer service. I put 2800 down from my savings. To have to pay for a new engine labor and still make payments.

Great service and friendly staff! We dropped our car off on a Tuesday with bad lifters and rockers and they rebuilt the top of the motor and had it running perfectly in less than 2 days. I do not trust anyone to work on my cars. I always work on them myself. However once in awhile I need someone who I can trust to fix something I cannot. I brought my car here for an issue with my sound system & my key fobs weren’t responding like normal. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results! After around 30 minutes they had resolved the issues surrounding my key fobs & remote start function, and when they moved onto my sound system they encountered 4 bad connections in my vehicle from the previous shops work and maintained full transparency in regard to them. Gabe, the General Manager, set me up with a new and properly connected system and I was able to sit and listen to the mechanic, Brandon, announce and explain outloud each issue he found while removing my old system and installing my new one to Gabe who was working at the front desk. I was and am appreciative of both of their honesty with experience as well as them staying after hours despite my car simply not complying with Brandon’s thorough efforts. 10/5 recommend!!!

I simply give one star because of the lack of communication and disorganization with the company. I am new to the area and shortly after moving here my car started to have problems. Unfamiliar with the area and car shops around I did my research and came across this company. After seeing they had a 4.9 reviews with a-lot of good reviews and only a few bad I decided to take the chance and call. The person I spoke to said that my car would be $100 to diagnose my car whether or not the engine needed to be taken apart.. when I asked about additional fee's they mentioned that it would only be the $100 to diagnose plus what ever it would cost to fix my car if I chose to do so, which seemed fair. I had my car towed there and didn't hear anything from them about receiving my car. The day after it was dropped off I called to confirm if they have received my car. My car was there for about 3-5 days when I called to check up on my car. They told me that they inspected my car the other day and what was wrong with it (why didn't they call me when they were done?), i was looking into other options to fix my car but ultimately I decided not to get my car fixed with them as the price was way higher then elsewhere, I relayed this info to them and they said they would call me when my car was ready for pickup. Here we are almost 2 weeks later and I had to follow up with them just for them to say the person I spoke to did not inform them that I wouldn't be fixing my car with them and that it would be an additional $100 to put my car back together. In shock I said "Wait a second? I thought you guys mentioned only $100 to diagnose?" The guy proceeded to tell me he now has to pay his guys to put my car back together. So it would be a total of $200 when I pickup. they should of done that from the beginning when I told them that I didn't want to get my car fixed. Needless to say the guy was not willing to budge. Highly recommend asking detailed questions before these guys try to get you out on money as well. Will not be recommending or coming back

I am very disappointed in this company, I heard good things about about them, I went there, financed a vehicle, it drove well for a few days, and then several engine codes and dash lights came on. This vehicle should not have been available to buy, there are many safety issues wrong with it. When I came back and brought these issues to their attention, they acted as if it wasn’t a big deal and they could get to it when it was convenient for them. There was no urgency on their part with the safety concerns of my vehicle. I hope this was a fluke, a one time thing. But get the vehicle checked out before you buy. Very disappointed

Beware, I would not buy or have your car worked on at this business I took my car in three times To have it fixed For the same issue Was told It was something different Paid each time And the issue is still not fixed I don't feel this business operates with Integrity or honesty. I feel like I was taken advantage of in a vulnerable situation and it's sad because they were recommended to me by someone.

I purchased a car for my teen there. A 2012 Nissan Altima. It was used, it looked in good condition. When I test drove it, it felt off. I had my husband test drive it too, and he also said it felt off. The salesman kept pushing the car on us, saying it belonged to a friend who works on cars. He also said a new transmission was put in, and maintenance was done on the car. He pressured us hard into purchasing it, and like an idiot I did. I took it to a renown auto shop in Rockford and they found a lot wrong: transmission wasn't installed properly, there was a major leak from the transmission, hoses weren't attached, the shocks had never been changed, the struts were damaged, the alignment wasn't safe, the electrical was off, the sparkplugs were all bad, and it hadn't been serviced or maintained in years. The salesman assured me, repeatedly, that his certified mechanics had given it a top to bottom full point inspection. The auto shop i took it to found all these problems, from a REAL full inspection, within 1 hour. Only 1 hour. The auto shop stated I was sold a lemon, and I have to agree. I purchased this unsafe car for $5,000 from Steinman, and just put $2,500 into repairs. If my teen had driven it any longer, the car would've caused major injury to her if she was in it. They knowingly sold me a dangerous car, and lied to me about their certified mechanics performing a 100+ point inspection. DO NOT GO HERE if you value honesty and safety.
