★★★☆☆ I've been going to Leo at T&L Auto Repair since approximately 2019. Leo is the only mechanic who's been able to figure out minor issues that have happened with my car, that's why this is the only place go to...however, something happened today that I hope the owner is made aware of as a result of this review. The last time I went to Leo (back in April of this year), I spent over $2,000 (I'm on a fixed income, and they did give me a little bit of a discount, which I appreciate) for Leo to replace the computer system because it kept draining my battery. A little over two months ago, the driver's side car handle came off. I took my car in today to replace the handle. On my way there, I noticed that one of my windshield wiper blades looked broken. I asked Leo to check it, and he told me I need two new ones and that they'd be $25 each. Okay, fine. When I went to pay the bill, I noticed they charged me $45 to INSTALL the wiper blades. I spoke up, saying that AutoZone (which is literally right next to them) would install them for free. Maria, the receptionist just REPEATED what the $45 was for, like I didn't know. I figured that since I purchased the wiper blades from them they wouldn't charge me to install them (or if they did, it would be minimal). I've given T&L a good amount of business over the years. Charging me or anyone $45 to install windshield wiper blades is INSANE! Prior to today, I would've given them five stars. I decided to drop two stars, although I still recommend T&L (especially if you have an issue with your car that you cannot figure out). Talk to Leo -- he won't say you need something if you don't (like today when I asked him to check the brakes; he said there's a noise but the brakes are fine). Just make sure you get price comparisons because they might be price gouging you on other things. P.S. Due to what happened today, I won't go back to have them paint my door handle. It'll stay the way it is!
