The Wheel Doctor is quite a unique experience. Just like a doctor's appointment (and you will need an appointment), you are one-on-one with the doctor. There is only one lift. He really knows his stuff and was able to correct the tire balancing I had gotten elsewhere a couple weeks prior. Road force balancing really does make a difference. My ride is as smooth as silk. It is more $ than a regular balance but you can't argue with results.

I contacted Derick on a Sunday afternoon via email after seeing stellar reviews on Google. He promptly responded the next morning and left me a detailed voicemail explaining various aspects about my car and the associated challenges with servicing it. On a subsequent phone call the same day, he was extremely professional and gracious enough to explain (again) the challenges associated with repairing my vehicle and what to say/look out for when going to other shops. Unfortunately with Lexus PVD chrome wheels, it is nearly impossible to repair & paint to a "like new" condition. Derick seems like he takes pride in his work- to the point where he will not take an appointment if he is not confident that he can do an immaculate job. While it's unfortunate that I was not able to do business with him, I appreciated his honestly, patience, and eagerness to share his vast knowledge with me. Should I need any wheel repair services in the future, I will definitely be reaching out to him.

I can't speak to the quality of their work, since I unfortunately was not able to utilize their services due to a time constraint on my part. After briefly communicating with Derek via phone while on a road trip in the Hudson valley, I can say that I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and communicative style. Even though the scheduling incompatibility made it clear that I would not be able to visit their establishment, Derek seemed genuinely interested in helping me out, and making sure that I and my vehicle were well taken care of.

I had an issue with my 2024 Toyota 4runner and was getting desperate for a solution. The 5th generation 4runner is notorious for a searing shake issue and due to his extensive automotive/tire/wheel knowledge, he was privy to the issue and he has worked on 4runners in the past. At that point, I immediately knew I was in good hands. The steering wheel would shake at 60MPH. After taking it to other shops to troubleshoot the issue the vibration still persisted and I was becoming increasingly frustrated. Even thought the car is still under warranty, I refused to bring the car back to Toyota as they would just re-spin balance the wheels and send me on my way. Derek's attention to detail and determination to solve the issue was second to none. His understanding of wheels/tire and his shop equipment was a breath of fresh air. Not only did he solve the issue, he shared the results from the road force balancing machine to show me exactly what the issue was and how he had fixed it. Additionally, he was able to make recommendations on tires he would suggest and what he would stay away from. This information is worth its weight in gold. I highly recommend the wheel doctor for any tire/wheel issues and plan to bring my car back when I am due to replace my tires. If your having wheel/tire issues, The Wheel Doctor is your solution!

Just had my rims repaired for curb rash by Mr. Derek and his team. He made the entire process seamless. He was able to accommodate me on short notice. He was clear, honest, and up front in his communication about what the repair would entail, it's cost, and expected time frame for the job. And he has a professional and yet down to earth demeanor, which I definitely appreciate. After repair, my rims looked like they came brand new out of the factory; I could not tell where the original damage was at all! His craftsmanship is impeccable! I was in and out in 2 hrs. And he even gave me sound advice regarding tire warranty. I'm glad I found his shop. He now has another customer for life. Working with Derrick the Wheel Doctor was unlike any experience I have had working directly with a new shop. From start to finish, you have full confidence that you are working with a true expert. Regardless if my issue was fixed or not, I was compelled to leave him the review he deserves. There aren't many "Derricks" left in this world and it's important to let the everyone know how awesome he is! I arrived 15 mins early for my appointment which I made a few weeks ago. I drove from New Jersey because I had struck out with my local installers. He was ready to go. While you are in the shop, you are his priority and have his full attention. I have a curious mind and asked questions along every step of the process. He was happy to explain it to me verbally, but also showed me how that applied to what we were seeing on the machine as well. I explained thoroughly my history with 3, yes THREE, previous shops that could not sort out my vibration issue. I expressed I wanted to have 4 wheels checked out, and He explained to me his pricing before we got started. His pricing is going to higher than you are used to paying. Do not let that make you think twice. I agreed to his pricing and he moved right along. He explained the process takes about 2 hours for the 4 wheels. My last tire shop I was in and out in 30 mins for "balancing" - guess what? It was unacceptable as my whole vehicle was shaking at highway speeds. After watching the whole process go down, I know understand way more about road force balancing. I understand why Derrick needs to charge the prices he does. The whole thing is very methodical. Thats why you get the proper results. He takes extra care when dealing with the wheels and tires. Everything he does is taken with that extra level of care. Yes you have to make an appointment, yes you will pay extra, but this is a set it and forget it tire installer option. I have wasted so much time with the 3 previous installers I was left embarrassed and frustrated. I was literally ready to sell these expensive wheels! Derrick, thank you again sir. I will be seeing you soon!

Great shop, amazing work done by Derick - he is professional and detail oriented, extremely patient - answered all my questions and addressed all the concerns. Did his work extremly carefully and to a perfection while patiently explaining all that he was doing, it was very interesting to listen to a true professional that's passionate about the work he's doing. Bent wheel repair like I never saw it before. Managed to straighten two of my crazy bent wheels to the point that the car drives like on glass now. Many tire shops are questionable at best....where you come away with a quarter pound of stacked wheel weights and there is a ripple at 65 mph-after too many times being that customer who comes back to "get it right"....I was referred to The Wheel Doctor by Briarcliff Automotive in Briarcliff, a shop which specializes in fun, exotic and unusual cars.... The Wheel Doctor is truly a godsend. Derek is a master at balance..moving the tire first, and only then adding weight. He understands secondary balance-and when the wheel itself needs attention. If you need someone who actually knows what they are doing, and who you can trust with aftermarket wheels and top shelf tires, this is the place. His work is smooth from 0- (redacted) :)

I called Derek after reading numerous positive reviews and explained to him how I replaced all my brakes and rotors on my 2021 Lexus IS350 Fsport and still had a minor steering wheel vibration on the highway. I decided to replace all 4 tires with Michelin Pilot Sport AS at a different shop as well, which actually made the vibration worse. Within 5 minutes on the phone, we were both cracking small jokes while he remained extremely patient and didn’t try rushing me off the phone. I brought my Lexus in the next day and was impressed by how detail-oriented he was. First thing I noticed, he removed my lug bolts with some type of protector on the socket so the paint wasn't damaged. He ended up repairing 2 bent wheels and showed me with the road force balance machine how terribly out of balance my tires were (and exactly where the wheels were bent). But he didn't just balance my tires; he ran them on the RF machine multiple times to balance them as perfectly as possible, even after the machine showed they were balanced in the "green." I ended up going to get food while he continued to work on my wheels and went through Google reviews to figure out why he wasn't rated 5 stars. No surprise, the people who rated him poorly never even had work done at this shop, just wanted to troll online. Derek and his shop deserve 5 stars, and Google should remove the negative reviews left by losers with nothing better to do. Derek explained to me every little imperfection on my wheels, answered all of my questions, and most importantly, fixed the vibration I was experiencing. If you're a perfectionist with your car, do yourself a favor and bring it here.

I came to this tire service center to have a new set of Michelins mounted, and this is hands down the best wheel/tire experience I've ever had. This is the only shop in the area that uses true touch-less tire equipment, which means zero risk of scratching or damaging your wheels. On top of that, the owner Derek road-force balances every setup, a huge deal for anyone who actually cares about how their car drives. I'm extremely detail-oriented when it comes to work being done on my car, and Derek impressed even me. The love he has for his craft shows immediately. This shop is NOT for a customer who wants a job done cheap and half-assed. Derek takes his time, explains everything and makes sure the job is done to perfection. The amount of care he puts into every step is worth every penny from start to finish. If you care about your expensive wheels, your ride quality, or just want work done by someone who genuinely takes pride in what they do this is the only place you should be going. Highly recommend
