Working with Pete and his affiliates at TLS has been outstanding. My Tesla went down due to a coolant pump. The Tesla dealership was not able to see me until December 23. I shopped around desperately looking for someone to work on my Tesla because I had no idea how to get this issue fixed Lower and behold I found TLS and they did all the work everything and they kept me informed of all the work that was being done with detailed pictures and I made advice on stuff that I need to change while I was there so it was a win-win for me. I highly recommend if you have any type of electric hybrid or any type of vehicles take it to TLS and speak to my man Pete he will square your way.

Edit: The business responded saying they didn’t do anything wrong. Also didn’t reply to my email as they offered in their response. Surprise! Typical, overpriced, scammy, predatory experience where they’ll suggest 17 additional things on top of the oil change. At some point, Ian gave me the new cost (12x to the original cost) for a variety of things. I’m an immigrant with English as my serving language. I didn’t understand 13 and change meant 1300. I tried to clarify asking, how much is it going to be? He said, “the price I quoted earlier”, which in my mind was 160. I would request the staff to quote the figures clearly more than once in words that non native speakers can understand. It feels like they took advantage of me. Feels very icky. And this took almost 4 hours. If you bring the car for a small thing like an oil change, be on the watch for a long process of expensively unnecessary things to be done to your car. Management: before you refute my review and make the point that I agreed to all the services and the new cost, please read the review again. I’m taking responsibility of not double checking the prices with you and probing further on the “the price I just gave you earlier” when you’re throwing 17 technical teens at me. BE EXTRA TRANSPARENT when your changes are over 10x an original price. When I was raising my concern after seeing the big bill. Instead of trying to understand but point, this tall gentleman came out to support his staff in an intimidating manner. No empathy for the first time customer. And this was my first experience with them. So disappointed right now. This is going to mess with my this month’s finances.

I can’t say enough about how impressed I am with TLS Motorworks and my advisor, Ian. My original plan was simple: sell my old 2007 Honda CR-V (with 305k miles) and just get new tires so I could eventually sell it. That plan took a turn when Discount Tire couldn’t remove one of my wheels due to a seized lug nut. Enter TLS Motorworks. Ian and his team not only handled the seized lug nut and wheel hub bearing replacement, but also performed one of the most thorough, detailed vehicle inspections I’ve ever seen. They provided photos, exact measurements, and clear explanations for every finding — not a generic checklist, but a real health report for my car. What really stood out was Ian’s honesty and understanding. He never pressured me into unnecessary repairs, and he tailored his recommendations based on how I actually use the car — a daily commute and highway driving — rather than pushing a full restoration on a high-mileage, older vehicle with a patchy service history. I left relieved knowing my car is safe to drive despite all the work it still needs, and with a clear understanding that it’s an old, high-mileage vehicle that simply isn’t worth restoring unless I planned to keep it long-term. I’ve since decided to keep and use the car for the next year or two to make the money I invested into it worthwhile for a daily commuter — and despite its issues, it’s running surprisingly well. It’s rare to find a shop that combines technical skill, transparency, and genuine customer care like this. I left feeling confident in the work done, grateful for the advice, and relieved knowing my car is safe to drive. To the whole TLS Motorworks team — and especially Ian — thank you for treating this old little CR-V with such respect and attention despite all the issues that still need to be addressed. My 2020 leaf died and I needed to have it towed to get it worked on. I called TLS and the person I talked to said that they would be more than willing to work on it but that if it was the battery than it would be under warranty and is best handled by a dealership. This was indeed the problem. I was very impressed by his honesty and turning down the work-basically recommending what he thought was in my best interest. I normally take my vehicle to the Toyota dealership, however, I took my vehicle to TLS recently in for an oil change and an inspection for other necessary repairs given their great reviews. To say the least I was not thrilled with my experience. They are extremely inefficient, overpriced, and suggest repairs that are not needed. It took them over 4 hours to do the oil change and inspection. They suggested that I needed many things including spark plugs, new transmission fluid, and suspension work among other things. They also said they would have to keep the vehicle overnight to complete the recommended repairs at a total cost of over $2000. I wasn't prepared to leave it overnight so I paid for the oil change (which was much more expensive than the dealership charges) and left. The red flag for me was that they told me I needed all new spark plugs and I knew that I didn't because I had all of them replaced less than 2 years ago and had driven no where near the 30,000 miles suggested for replacement. When I told them that I didn't need spark plugs the response I received was "we have no record of when they were replaced so that is why we recommended them for replacement". Really? If the only reason that you recommend a repair/replacement is that you have no record of the previous repair/replacement that's a huge problem and no way to do business. I took my car back to the dealership for a 2nd opinion. Not only did I NOT need all that TLS recommended, I was able to get all the necessary repairs done at a third of the cost that TLS was going to charge me. And all repairs were done within 2 1/2 hours without having to have my car sit overnight at TLS. Take my advice, ALWAYS get a 2nd opinion when you get an inspection report from TLS with recommendations. More often than not, you'll probably not need everything they recommend and will save yourself a lot of money.

I took my Toyota RAV4 to TLS on a Thursday morning after hearing metal grinding noises while braking. The technicians did a full vehicle work up and provided a thorough checklist of everything they diagnosed. They explained the issue to me in detail and by Friday afternoon I had my vehicle back with new calipers, brake pads, and resurfaced rotors.
