Limped off of I94. Electrical issues with my Toyota RAV4. I was stranded with very little cash. Tom stepped up and found the problem quickly and efficiently. I was on the road again in no time flat. On our way to a funeral, my car started to act funny and the engine light was blinking. Pulled off and are so thankful Tom's auto body was right there. On. Saturday, he pulled our car in right away, did a diagnostic, walked next door to get the parts, and we were on our way in an hour. I was expecting a weekend of hassle with a rental car, leaving my car until Monday, and high costs all around. My scheduled oil changes at my own mechanic doesn't go that smooth!

I had a single, small interaction with Tom's Auto Repair and he was really wonderful to me. At the tail end of a long day, it was raining and my vehicle window would not roll up! Thankfully as I pulled into town I saw Tom's Auto Repair a friendly face greeted me and followed me outside to my car. After working the window glass a few minutes it was rolled up and I was on my way. He even took the time to explain what is the likely cause of the issue. I don't know what it is like to work with Tom's Auto Repair on a big project, but given the level of care and service that went into helping me, I can't imagine wanting to work with anyone else.

Im not one for leaving reviews but these guys are great!. Knowledgeable, professional, all around great guys and service. I dont have a reason to bring my vehicles elsewhere. Had multiple vehicles that needed misc repair/maintenance. Not a thing I would compain about. Fair pricing too. Walked me through the service provided and is not the type of place to try and sell you service you dont need.

I would like to keep this place hidden and all to myself , but felt I would review it simply because the people that work here are tireless . They stayed late on a Friday in order to get me on the road . They used all their options in order to obtain the water pump for my ‘20 F350 diesel . I will definitely make an effort to have all my maintenance done here .

Our truck broke down en route to a very important event. We managed to get into town and find a mechanic. However, the first place we went, they actively ignored us as we tried to seek help. Luckily, we happened upon Tom's. Dropping everything, Tom and his coworker were able to quickly diagnose our problem. They explained it in terms we were able to understand, and were extremely pleasant the whole time. Would definitely recommend! Thanks, Tom and co.

Coming home from a vacation from the cities headed to Fargo and had some car issues on the interstate. Pulled over in Monticello MN for the night and got up the next morning to see if we could find someone to look at our vehicle in Monticello but every place was closed on a Saturday. We were given the name by someone in Monticello to call Tom's Auto in Clearwater and so we did. Spoke with a nice young man by the name of Shawn and he said that he could at least do a diagnostic test on it. This young man was very honest, helpful, professional, kind and went out if his way to help us. We appreciate him very much. Shawn if you are reading this we did make it back to Fargo and will have our injector replaced on Wed. Thanks again for the wonderful customer service that you gave to my husband and I.

Outstanding! We were stuck in Clearwater and needed to get back on the road ASAP with our RV. Our AC blew but we were worried our engine was overheating. Tom opened the door for us early and we explained our situation. He was very kind and understanding. He had it diagnosed by 9:30 am with parts on the way, we were out of there by early afternoon. We are so thankful for his help and efficiency and now we have healthy running AC again. It can be very challenging to find help for the RV while we’re on the road and this was a nice surprise. Water pump went out on our way to Bemidji the day before deer hunting. Tom managed to squeeze us in and get the truck diagnosed in an hour, and got the pump replaced by 3 the same day. Not always possible, but he did his best and managed to pull it off and at a reasonable price. He could have gouged us because we were in a bind, but he didn't. Thanks Tom for getting us on the road again.

Tom's saved my bacon. My old car overheated on 94 and I towed to Tom's. Tom himself took pity on my pathetic situation and let me leave it there for him to look at when he could. They were backed up, I thought I'd be carless for a week.... 2 days later they call and it's fixed. Radiator fluid leak issue. Very reasonable price to test and fix. Tom was honest, over delivered on time frame and service. Didn't try to upsell a bunch of add ons....just honest straightforward service. I'd give a 6th star if I could.

My car came up with an engine misfire in the middle of my 5 hour drive down Twin Cities at 4pm on a busy Friday. Shaun was so kind to get my car straight in and back on the road within a couple of hours, and at great price for the level of service on top of that! Hopefully my car won’t be breaking down again on my way home anytime soon, but if I’m in the area I’d go back here in an instant!

I am from St. Paul MN. Taxes almost 10.9! I was heading home from Alexandria MN. In heavy rain and winds. Speed At 70 Semi‘s causing water flying poor visibility! Almost blowing me off the Freeway! Ford never recalled the First Transit Connection 4 Speed Automatic. Because of Dangerous Wind Dynamics!! Fighting to keep it on the Hwy. My Warning Tire Light Flashing. I pulled into Tom’s! Heavy Raining! They checking the tires Air Pressure. Only one a pound under. Light didn’t go off. Then got a machine to read each tire. Yup a Tire Sensor was not working. I asked do you have time to fix it? Yup if you can wait? The part was available next door at an Auto Parts Store ! Well I was there 50 minutes. WOW THE TAXES CHEAP!!! I saved over $10.00! Haven’t checked price in St.Paul yet! Drove home not using Freeway!! No Tire Light Flashing at me! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! Having one less thing to worry about in driving!!!

I had a flat tire and pulled up to Tom’s Auto Repair, where Jacob kindly assisted me. He not only helped with my flat but also pointed out that two of my other tires were ripping and going flat as well. He got me three new tires at a fraction of the cost compared to other mechanics in the area. One of those other shops was right next door, but they weren’t nearly as helpful or polite as Tom’s Auto Repair. Jacob went above and beyond—he made sure I got a discount on all three tires and ensured my car was balanced, aligned, and ready to go. The team here is incredibly helpful and truly looks out for their customers. I’m very appreciative of the care they took with my car, and I highly recommend them!
