Dishonest company. I was quoted 1100 for an ignition coil replacement and spark plugs. Coil replacement is a fast easy job. The spark plugs, which they were charging me $38 a piece for , but are actually $10 a piece . Wow. Also told me I had to pay for the diagnostic fee on top of the services.
Update : my son did all of the above for 180 in parts, and about an hour an half with wrong tools … he had to use what he had and run to auto zone.

Great shop. Used them years ago when I lived here. This time my wife had a breakdown while fleeing from a hurricane. Tricare took great care of her, diagnosed the problem, found the underlying cause instead of just swapping parts, and turned around the repair in just a couple of days. I wish I could find a shop I trust this much where I live.

I purchased my truck brand new. It had never been worked on before. I took it to Tri-Care to have some lifters replaced in my engine a year later, after the warranty had expired. Upon inspection after their service, I was surprised to find that many components were not reinstalled properly. When I attempted to change my thermostat, I discovered parts left hanging without proper reattachment. Additionally, some nuts and bolts were missing from places where they were deemed unnecessary by the service personnel. I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

In addition to repairs to service & personal vehicles routine oil & filter changes. Although manufacturers recommendations for oil filter replacement is hand tight, TC has routinely tightened filter to the extent it was impossible for us to remove oil filter without returning to them to have it removed. For years you could count on TC for reliable service to your vehicles in a timely manner fixed right the first time. Hasn’t been our most recent experiences.

Brought my sons Mazda b3000 there to have the manual transmission looked at, needed a complete overhaul. Paid 3500 to have it overhauled, back a week later it would kick out of third gear, they looked at it and said it was ok. Drove it for a year and a half and the clutch went out. Brought it to a professional transmission repair shop, the transmission failed and caused the clutch to go out-4000 to repair both. The transmission mechanic showed us that whoever worked on it put at least three incorrect parts in the transmission and that was the cause of the damage, they used some shade tree guy, not their normal transmission company. Went back to Tricare to ask for some help and they said it was past the warranty period and could not cover the repair. Their motto is principal over price, next step is an attorney.

Car was overheating and I was referred to this place. Recommended I essentially change my entire cooling system and wanted to charge me $1500 for it. Told them I would just pay for the diagnostics only, because I was immediately suspicious. Told me my car would still run fine with a/c on, not even a mile down the road my car overheats with coolant spewing everywhere. I knew the car at least ran with the a/c off so I added coolant and went home to Houston to my family mechanic. They told me this quote was borderline criminal. For example, Tri-care wanted to replace my thermostat. My family mechanic demonstrated a test on my thermostat to me to show how it clearly works fine. Tri-care straight up lied. My issue ended up solely being bad fan clutch. Got it replaced and my car runs like brand new, with a/c and on long high rpm drives. Repair was $250. Don’t let the 5 star reviews fool you. They replace way more than you need so they can significantly over-inflate the price. I’m sure they’ll defend this with “well it’s bound to fail sooner rather than later so we recommend replacing it” to cover their bases. Do not come here, typical big name shop just trying to make as much money as possible. Sure, they’ll fix your issue. Except they’ll also convince you that you need hundreds of dollars worth of unnecessary repairs as well.
