This place is a joke not a real business. Making appointments online is impossible. Called couple days in advance to make an appointment for oil change and they said no need just show up at 8am. When I went there at 8am they were obviously not happy to see me and told me it will take 3hrs for an oil change! I happily took my business to another place but this is not the way doing business guys.

I’ve always leased a car in the past. I never really needed to have anything repaired outside of the dealership until now. I went to Tuffy for the first time and had a great experience from beginning to end. Becca, at the front desk, was very informative and helpful with getting me in for an appointment. They did a great job, inspecting the vehicle and repairing my problem, the very next day. Their prices are very reasonable and lower than most places I’ve researched. They’re honest and great at their job and they pretty much do everything there. It was a wonderful experience. You will not be disappointed!!

This Tuffy’s location performed repair work on my vehicle. I authorized the work and was surprised and disappointed at vehicle pickup. I was surprised with a 10%+ cost increase over my approved estimate. Tuffy’s offered to pull the unauthorized price increase components off my car while still charging for full labor or I could abandon my vehicle at the shop. Recommend working with an honest mechanic that does not bait and switch with billing while holding vehicle hostage. Edit: cost increase would have happily been paid if informed before work commenced and not had vehicle held hostage

Thank you to Andrew and Wayne. Words cant express how grateful i am! I had a nasty bolt that i spent a week trying to get off. I tried everything and I was ready to throw in the towel, they were my last hope. It was tough but after 30 minutes of whacking at it were finally able to get it out for me. Such a pleasant experience and ill for sure be taking my vehicles there for service. Andrew and Wayne were some of the most skilled and honest and trustworthy mechanics iv met.

"I have been a loyal customer of Tuffy in Walled Lake for three years, but my recent experience has been a complete disappointment and has shown a serious lack of ethics. I brought my Equinox in for a synthetic oil change, tire rotation, and a multi-point inspection. When I picked up the vehicle, I immediately noticed the tire rotation had not been completed; the air cap I marked was still on the passenger-side rear tire. When I called to question this, I was given a misleading excuse that rotations sometimes go side-to-side, which was also not the case. The fluids had also not been topped off, as my window washer fluid light was still on. To confirm my suspicions, I took my vehicle to Belle Tire the next day. They performed a proper tire rotation and, during their inspection, showed me my extremely dirty cabin and air filters. Tuffy should have noted these during their inspection, but they were clearly ignored. Based on this, I have no way of knowing if the oil change was even performed. This is dishonest and a breach of trust with a long-time customer. After this experience, I will no longer be using Tuffy's services."

He told me about the early bird special and still gave me the price for it so I got a standard oil change for $35 and every time I come to tuffys they really take care if you! I brought my car in for a new pully and belt. I said it was leaking oil and that needed fixed too. Other than price being high they did a fine job but that’s where it ended. They charged 200 something to clean oil out of engine bay and find source of leak. Thats all fine and good if they actually fixed the leak because whats the point then? It’s just gonna happen all over again? 1150 total. I pick car up and notice my heat is going on and off so they obviously didn’t bleed the system. I also notice it’s still leaking oil and I couldn’t make it back for a few weeks. I explain I have no heat and oil is still leaking they say it’s a head gasket and showed the dye they put on before to find source and NOT fix the leak. They said you shouldn’ttake it to a euro shop and I said can you atleast bleed the system so I have have heat since you guys didn’t do it the first time? Was denied. I been going here for 10 years and I will never go back. They could’ve saved me a lot of pain and stress.

Went in for an oil change and was quoted a great price for full synthetic oil at $65 where I’ve been paying $100-130 . On a grand Cherokee. Great customer service. They also did a diagnostic to see if there was anything wrong and found out I was having an oil coolant leak. My only complaint it took between 1 1/2 to 2 hours so I recommend making an appointment and dropping off your car.

I went to Tuffy’s for a coolant leak based on the good reviews I saw online, and I’m very disappointed with the experience. On my first visit, I clearly explained that my coolant was leaking. They inspected the car that day and quoted me about $1,600 to fix the issue, with over $1,000 just in labor. I thought the price was steep, but I agreed to the repair. They also told me the parts they installed would be covered by a 3‑year warranty. Less than a week later, I discovered another puddle of coolant under my car. I took it back, and this time they said they had found something else that was broken. The manager emphasized that their “A1 mechanic” had worked on my vehicle the first time, and then quoted me another $1,000 to fix it again. If their top mechanic couldn’t properly diagnose the problem the first time, I have to question how good that mechanic really is and why I should be paying almost the same amount again. It feels like either the work was not done thoroughly the first time, or they’re counting on customers coming back and paying more for what is essentially the same issue. I would not recommend them for major repairs, especially anything as critical as a coolant leak.

Broke down while traveling and left vehicle there not knowing if they could fix it the next day. Got car in right away and said it would be on day until they found more problems. Trish was very helpful and nice. Andrew the service manager had my car for a week, even though it was supposed to be for 1 day and put coupon prices on the uncharge which saved me a few hundreds! I really appreciate the kindness and keeping me informed all week what was going on. Nothing mislead. All persons were upfront! I give them 5 stars!
