Took three hours to change one tire when I was initially told forty minutes, you can stand and watch them just talk and joke around, as they walk away from what they're supposed to be working on to chat to each other, and not even talk about car/questions. I'm an understanding person but to take three hours? If I was told it would be three hours initially, that'd be a different story.

Came in to get 2 rear tires. They bent/scratched my subframe because the jack didn’t have a rubber pad on it. I’d go somewhere else. Beware

You definitely get what you pay for. The prices are so cheap because the customer service is horrible. I waited in "line" like the sign out front says to for someone to come check my car in. Someone pulled up behind me in line, got out and went inside to check in. I continued to wait because again, that's what the sign says. They proceeded to help the other gentleman first and checked him in before me. The guy working was rude and not in the least bit helpful. He then told me it would be about a 40 minute wait. 1 hour and 30 minutes later, still waiting. Standing here watching them through the window and I havent seen a single person touch my car in over 10 minutes. Lesson learned. I'd rather pay $10 more at jiffy lube for faster, more professional service.

Totally lied to me on the phone saying that the $11 carry in tire install was only if it was a tire I purchased there and wanted me to pay $28 if not. First of plus, it doesn't even make sense only if I buy it there. Did you want me to carry it from an aisle or rack to the counter???? LAZY LAZY LAZY auto shop at this Walmart. Plus, it's an unhonest one at that.... I called a yuba City walmart, and they informed me that I could carry in any tire, not just one from Walmart. Get it together and quit trying to price gouge it or take advantage of a woman buying trippling the price and acting as if I don't understand what I'm read on their walmart site. Disappointed to say the least. I'd suggest a new crew or an honest one if I was walmart anyways this store will be a No 😠 😡 😤 for me thank you for the disservice.

I took my grandmother’s 2003 Ford F150 in, to have it serviced, March of 2023. By September, the transmission went out, because of a lack of transmission fluid. And I know it was from that, because I bought nearly $100 of fluid, to try and fill it — and it went right through the engine, straight onto the ground. When I talked to other professionals, in attempt to see about getting it repaired, saying I had taken the truck in, not that long, prior — they said Wal-Mart doesn’t usually check transmission fluid (now, I understand what they *really* meant).. So, I thought I missed something, and it was my bad. The truck was hardly driven, in that time frame — so, it’s not as if it was due for another service, either. Now, it can no longer be driven — let alone moved, on its own — and there’s no use of even repairing it. Well, I just found the slip, from that specific oil change — and it, specifically, states transmission fluid was checked, and “GOOD.” I didn’t know that when it’s difficult to get a car in gear — it, typically, has to do with low transmission fluid (I studied autobody, in high school — not mechanics). Well, shifting was, very obviously, clunky. One would think a professional, who had to drive said truck, into the bay, to service said truck — would be capable, enough, to recognize that. And now, their laziness, legitimately, costed my grandmother her vehicle — which, she only had neglected to keep up, recently, at that time, due to increasingly worse Alzheimer’s dementia. Hence why I brought it in, to the shop, myself. To avoid any sort of issue, such as this. Thank freakin’ goodness she wasn’t the one driving the truck, when the transmission blew. She was always on top of taking care of her vehicles, prior. Hell, this is the truck that helped her escape the Campfire, and she lived in, for a week, after — she loved this ol’ thing They were, also, suppose to check and change out the windshield wipers — which, they didn’t even bother to check, because they flat-out didn’t work, and were left on the truck. I had to get new ones, when it started to rain. Which, thankfully, Autozone allowed me to return the windshield wipers, even though they don’t normally — being I bought ‘em less than 60-days before the transmission went out. And I had just purchased $175 used tires, at Quality Used Tires, to put on her truck, around the time of the oil change, as well. It was frustrating, for me, when all this happened — thinking I was the one to miss something, even after doing what I was suppose to do, by taking it in, especially, where she has taken it, prior. However, now, I am absolutely furious. I am astounded at the utter lack of professionalism, thoroughness, and the full-on laziness, of Chico Wal-Mart’s auto center. And sure, this was over a year ago — so, perhaps, they have all new staff. Doesn’t even matter. I would never, ever risking going here, again. And I advise anyone else against coming here, also. Might cost you your whole damned vehicle.

I got my oil changed quick and easy. I lucked out that I got here before there was a line, or it could have easily been a few hours wait. The biggest downside was listening to how their manager treats her employees. She had to cover the phones while someone was on lunch, an she was not happy about it. I heard her make a call to employee asking why he wasn't there. From the sounds of it they hurt themselves on the job, and failed to report it. Guess what? If someone hasn't been hurt on the job before, they don't always know the proper steps! To say this manager spoke condescendingly to her employee would be an understatement. Obviously, they were short staffed, and one of the workers offered to stay longer if need be, and she told him to shut up/ stop talking and do as his schedule says. No wonder this place is short staffed. Who would want to work for someone who doesn't listen to or respect her employees.

I just got tires put on there and they are the best. They stayed after hours to help me get back on the road when I had a blown tire and would have had to wait until the next day without their great customer service and can do attitude. Jericho is a great technician that stayed after hours to help me out and Eric is a great manager that made it possible. Highly recommend these guys.

An appointment was made in advance, when I arrived I was told by the technician there may not be a filter available and that he would go check. I stated that if they did not have one available I could easily have one dropped off since my partner was following behind me. He came back and stated they had a filter in stock and proceeded to take my keys. ONE HOUR later we received a text message that stated the appointment had been cancelled. You would think a simple call stating they had made a mistake would have been made and that I could come pick up the car. Unprofessional and dishonest.

Well I will start by saying I bought my tires here and after hearing there spill about there warranty I Decided to purchase that as well. Then found out that it didn't really cover much except for in the first quarter. That's the lights of the tire, though disappointed I decided yeah do not worry about that, and just get my rotations done. I made my appointment for the first rotation. And my appointment time was for 4 o'clock. I did not leave till 535. For something that should only take 30 minutes at most. I am completely disappointed. Total waste of my time. Cannot keep their appointment time I am the type of person that shows app 15 minutes early just not to waste their time and they are the type that will just waste your time go somewhere else that can be prompt.

I had a most unexpected but much appreciated experience on 8/5. I had purchased tires online and arrived for my installation appointment. Some time had passed when the crew leader came in to ask me was I aware my present tires were almost new. Very little tred loss. Did I still want to change out the tires? He also took me into the service area to show me and educate me about tires in general. They were all very courteous and professional and their actions saved me a major expenditure. Forever appreciate their honesty and guidance. This experience just solidifies my loyalty to Walmart and I encourage others to give them the opportunity to be of service.

Went in 9a on a Friday morning and was told they had no availability and I would need to make an appointment to return another day. All bays were empty with three guys standing around doing nothing (waiting?). Went back by 15 minutes later - still empty; still employees doing nothing discernible. I guess they don't need the business and can be picky...

Do not purchase the Road Hazard policy for any tires purchased here. They do sell cheap tires but will find a way to wiggle out of their insurance policy for the tires. Any damage to the tire has to be within a 3" center strip in the middle of the outer circumference of the tire. Their Road Hazard policy for damage to the tires that they sell is a joke and a scam.

Fast service while you shop! The only thing I didn't like was they were out of the lower priced oil.

Took three hours to put on tires and an oil change. They up charged the oil cause they were out of the one I scheduled with. I scheduled my appointment, it was not a walk in. When asked why it took so long I was told I could complain at Walmart dot com

Not worth it. I scheduled an appointment for 4:30 and sat for 2 hours waiting in their lobby with flies until they told me they couldn’t perform an oil change. Waste of time.

Walmart policies prohibited them from helping us. thankfully the verbally guided us to changing our battery ourselves. also the blonde girl working said something vaguely racist about someone’s Spanish music? not sure if that’s accepted in Chico, but it was bizarre

This was hands-down the worst tire service experience I’ve ever had. I ordered tires from Walmart.com, and they arrived at the Chico location. I arrived 10 minutes early for my 8:00 AM appointment, and the parking lot was empty. They told me the job would take an hour. About an hour later, they called and claimed my tires didn’t need replacing. After I explained that the wear indicators clearly showed the tires needed to be changed, they finally agreed to do it. By 10:40 AM—roughly two hours and 40 minutes later—the job was done. This was the worst service I’ve ever encountered at a tire center. The staff didn’t seem to understand how to use a torque wrench properly. They over-tightened the lug nuts with an impact wrench, then checked them with a torque wrench, but the nuts didn’t budge because they were already too tight. Walmart needs to hire more qualified staff and pay them better. The crew seemed like inexperienced kids. Unbelievable. Do not come here you'll be highly disappointed.

I’m so tired of coming to this place with my cars but it is the most affordable option. They are always grumpy when I arrive and seem so put out. Everyone is rude, the appointments are extremely long and have always taken much more time than they’ve said. I’ve needed two headlights changed this year and they can’t do them during oil changes which is fine. So they tell me why it’s a more complex thing and to come back. When I come back they tell me it is too complex to get to and they won’t do it. I just miss so much work for these appointments and it’s really inconsiderate. It is mainly just how they talk to the customers that is just so degrading and is what makes it such a bad experience.

I normally do not write reviews but please read. I went in today because I was unsure if my tire needed a repair or a complete replacement, it was leaking air but unsure from where. The woman at front desk was very friendly and helpful, understanding my situation. I made an appointment for 3pm and confirmed that they take walk ins. I get there at 8-9am, and I explained to the technicians I am more than willing to wait until then with no problem in case someone does not show up to their appointment. I did not have a spare, I live nearby and had to pull over multiple times to pump air. The most sensible option is getting there early before any traffic on a flat and waiting. Walmart is one of the only shops nearby open Sundays. I did not grab the technicians name but he had a hat, blonde hair and blue eyes, my receipt shows it was either Cody or Elijas. These people from the beginning seemed like they did not want to help me, it made me feel like a nuisance. Trust me that is the last place I wanted to be, but emergencies happen! He was like "there's no way you can come back at 3pm, there's no guarantee?" then when I got my actual tire looked at they made it sound like I couldn't get it fixed or replaced here at all, excuses. I'm not an idiot. I ask if I they sell spares at least? nope. Basically in another form trying to make me go somewhere else. I wait patiently, I feel terrible. I know they don't want to help me or do their job. The guy comes back in and tells me they can't fix it, I'll have to REPLACE it, possibly both tires. Okay, great I can do that. Then he goes "do you have money to pay for it?" I respond yes, I didn't say anything to the offensive remark. I really hope they get additional customer service training because this can literally happen to anyone. At least show some sort of sympathy . If these people try to shoo you away don't fall for it, I was out by 11am. Don't drive on a flat, but avoid these people if you can.

Showed up ten minutes late, my husband was feeling off and needed to go back home. Wasn’t sure if I would still make my appointment but thought ten minutes late maybe would be appropriate. Called to see on my way back but no answer. When I got there he launched into why it really wasn’t okay I was late and how it was going to mess up the day. Took the time to point out all the other cars, technicians, customers. I get it, being late messes everyone up. But the passive aggressiveness, sassiness, and depth he went to…geez. I told him it was okay and went to Jiffy Lube. But MAN do people like a power trip, it was weird for a ten minute delay.
