Walsh Bros has consistently done a great job with my car, and I'm happy to have found them as my regular mechanic. I bought a used C30 and brought it to Walsh Bros for an inspection. They did a thorough, quick job and were open and communicative throughout the whole process. Later on when a tiny crack on my coolant case grew and began to leak, Louise the owner stayed behind after closing to make sure I could bring my car in and have it ready the next day. Overall the quality of work has been very good, and they've been extremely open, pleasant and easy to work with.

My car is over 10 years old and I have been taking it to Walsh Brothers for at least the last 7 years. I have found them to be consistently professional and straightforward regarding pricing and repairs that are absolutely necessary and ones that can wait. Over the years I have also compared pricing for basic services like new brakes on a Mazda 3, for example, and although nobody does it inexpensively, I found Walsh Brothers pricing to consistently be hundreds of dollars less than others for comparable work. Like a good dentist, it's nice to know someone who's familiar with your setup and history and realizes that repeat customers are more important than a quick buck. Looking forward to my next visit.

It is a pleasure to visit the folks at Walsh Brothers…even though it may mean something is wrong with your car. They are all highly competent, friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. I wouldn’t take my Volvo anywhere else! I look forward to seeing the people who work there because I know I’m in good hands. No huge corporate culture at Walsh Bros!

This is a great auto repair shop at reasonable prices. They find anything that is a problem and fix it, but don't push for work that can safely wait a bit longer. I find them completely trustworthy. Plus, they are friendly, efficient, and in an emergency will squeeze in a regular customer. I first found them 40 years ago. I left when I bought a car brand that they didn't work on (at that time), but I recently returned and find them to be the same dependable, trustworthy shop. I've used many other shops in the Berkeley area and never found a better one.

I have been taking my card for repair to Walsh brothers for over 10 years. First with my Vovlvos and then my VW and Mercedes. I always got high quality workmanship, and very reasonable price. I got blown head gasket to transmission repair from them. I recommended to my friends I just found out that they moved to Ashby. Walsh brothers would be my first choice for any car repair. I recently got a mini cooper. They did the front rotors, pads and reset the sensor. Fast service and VERY good price.

I recently visited Walsh Brothers to address the check engine light issue with my Volvo V50. I traveled 50 miles because I was looking for a place that specializes in Volvo cars and offers fair prices. The engine light was triggered by various problems related to the fuel pump and fuel pressure sensor. I was impressed by the honesty of the team; instead of fixing everything at once, Carlos suggested starting with replacing the fuel pressure sensor, as the one in my vehicle was meant for a different trim and not suitable. After driving my car for a day, the check engine light disappeared along with all the codes. Additionally, the smog test passed successfully after 2 days. I had a pleasant conversation with Louise over the phone; she was incredibly kind and helpful. Carlos provided all the necessary information and was equally supportive. It's evident that they are sincere individuals who prioritize customer satisfaction over making unnecessary repairs or providing inflated estimates. I am relieved to have found a reliable place for future servicing of my vehicle. I definitely recommend Walsh Brothers for any car repairs.
