These guys are absolutely amazing. We own a 2003 Z3 BMW convertible, that we leave in Florida to use when we come to visit. We've been putting off having serviced because we didn't know any good mechanic shop in the area. Then my daughter in law recommended Wayne Purdy Shop and it was a bless. They inspected the car, found the issue immediately, gave us an estimate and few days later the car was better than before. Kudos and ten thumbs up for this mechanic shop in Clearwater, they know cars!!. Very unprofessional service. I towed my classic Jaguar in for a diagnostic and connect a starter wire. When asked what the diagnostic fee would be I was informed it would start at a minimum $500 and their fee was $179/hour. I paid the initial $500 to start the diagnostic. The next morning I received a call saying my vehicle was started but needed another $500 to continue the diagnostic. When I went to take the additional $500 I informed them that I will not put anymore money towards diagnostic fees and requested their professional diagnosis what was going on with the vehicle. I never heard of this technique before. Upon walking out to leave I saw my car coming up the road driving smoothly, no ticking or any other noises. The next day I arrived to pick up my vehicle and was told I had to pay an additional $420 to receive my car in addition was told that I would not be able to drive it away, I will have to tow the vehicle home. I was confused because I saw the vehicle operating smoothly just a day prior. I had no choice but to pay the amount requested and have my vehicle towed back home or allow them to keep it and keep charging me an outrageous fee that still has not been justified. I was given 3 different invoices never was called to authorize any work to be completed. As soon as I arrived back home with my car I received a call from Wayne himself saying he would like to refund me $250 and bring the car back. At this point I lost trust and did not feel comfortable taking it back. It is ironic how just a day prior the car was operating great. The next morning Brent called me to pick up the $250 and he would install the fuel injectors out of his pocket. By the way my car still has very low mileage. I never too my vehicle back due to not trusting the customer service and professional ability of all parties involved.

Not only are the people at this business unprofessional, they are obviously liars as well. At no point did they inform me the vehicle was not worth repairing. Now they are claiming to be a faith based business. There is nothing Godly about the individuals there. The men I dealt with directly over a course of three days were not kind, loving people. As stated previously I lost all trust and confidence in this business. When I was contacted to refund me $250 out of the $1440 I paid by debit card, I was told to pick up cash. I feel this was so there was no record of the $250 refund because it could have been refunded back to my debit card. You claim the vehicle is not repairable, however was persistent in calling trying to get it back to your shop, even called the mechanic that referred me to your business trying to get me to bring him the vehicle, although he originally informed me he does not work on that type and referred me to Wayne Purdy European Motors. Still in your response you are saying to bring it back. Unfortunately, I will not be returning the vehicle back to this establishment. It will be going to Jaguar for now on, although you are located closer and was more convenient. From true believers in Christ, God Bless You All!

Brought my B7 Passat in to get my fuel pump replaced due to a gas smell in and outside the car. They were able to get it all fixed in just a few hours and no more smell and drives great, even left with a clean car which was a nice surprise since I hadn’t had the time to do myself. A little bit of a drive for me but will for sure be coming back for later repairs. Also a special thanks to Brent!

I have an older Benz that had several complicated issues. Over the 20 years I’ve owned the now 42 year old car, the availability of qualified mechanics has dwindled. Wayne Purdy accepted the car on a tow truck not running at all. Other shops told me it was a parts car. I gave him the time he needed to get to the bottom of it. He did just that. My car is now trustworthy transportation instead of a garage ornament or a parts car. There are mechanics and there are extraordinary mechanics. I highly reccommend this shop.

I brought my Ram truck in for a diagnostic. My truck sounded light a jet engine when I deaccelerated. It turns out my rear differential was ready to fly apart and the truck was unsafe to drive! The amazing part is that they rebuilt it in under 30 hours and got it right back to me. I received great service and great quality work for a great value.

Just want to give a big thanks to the team here. Had a family emergency in Clearwater, and they got right on the problem. I was driving from Fort Lauderdale to Clearwater in the early morning hours. Low oil notifications started coming up, I got to the shop about 30 minutes after they open. I was told I was gonna need to wait until next week at a different shop. They referred me to Wayne Purdy. I came to this shop for one thing: an oil change. From the second I walked in, the woman at the front desk acted like I was an inconvenience. That should have been my sign to turn around and leave, but I had an appointment and needed the service. A man handed me a quote recommending over $600 in unnecessary work. I called my boyfriend, decided absolutely not, and told the woman at the front desk clearly, "Literally just the oil change. Nothing else. No upsells." She called to the back saying, "Yeah, as expected, just the oil change," with a snide attitude. I should have left then. When they were done, they handed me a bill for $341.68. They had added additives and washer fluid I specifically declined. When I asked if they were required to complete the oil change, the man lied and said yes. Based on that, I paid. Once in my car, I called my boyfriend, my dad, and looked it up myself. None of these extras were required. They were just upsells they threw on after I told them not to. I went back inside to ask why I was lied to and ignored. The woman got immediately nasty but called the guy back up. His excuse? "They’re already in the car. You should have said you didn’t want them." I reminded him that I did, and looked at the woman for confirmation. She rolled her eyes again and said, "I’ll just refund you, and I’ll even give you your $3.50 back for the washer fluid since technically it’s not required for an oil change." Her tone was sarcastic and full of attitude. I did get a refund, but only because I stood my ground. My boyfriend called and spoke to Wayne demanding an apology, which of course, we never received. This shop is dishonest, predatory, and openly disrespectful. They count on customers not knowing better and they punish you for speaking up. They made sure we absolutely will not be returning or recommending them to anyone.

My MB had back brake light off, a local MB suggest to change the whole wire system in the back, they estimate around $500, I went to European Motors, Marty suggest to leave the car and inspect it, 3 hours later called to pick up, the invoice was $130 and the car is perfect! What a bless to still have honest people beyond business! On top how nice to have experts in European cars!!! My trust and gratitude to this family! This is my third year coming with Marty, always profesional and fare! What a bless to have an European specialist in Clearwater!

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! (Especially if you are a woman!!) These mechanics have little to no idea what they are talking about and they upcharge on part costs a hefty amount. Not to mention their labor costs are unmatched. This shop seems to target women who may not know much about cars and charge them loads to do absolutely nothing. It took them 3 tries to install something AND attempted to charge me more after their faulty installments. They also gave me an estimate to replace the oil filter housing gasket for $1,200. I ended up doing it myself in 30 minutes with zero issues. Lastly, they wanted $200 to replace a piece of trim that I found on eBay for $12 and took 2 minutes to put on the car. If you want to save your money and not deal with faulty equipment, find a different mechanic please. Thank you.
