THEY PRESSURE TETSED AND RESURFACED A HEAD FOR ME AND WHEN i REINSTALLED THE HEAD (2004 CRV a lot of work) WE FOUND THAT THE HEAD IS CRACKED. HAD TO BUY A HEAD, EXPLAIN TO THE CUSTOMER, AND ALL EXPENSES RELATED IE. GASKETS ETC. AND NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. TRIED THEM AGAIN OUT OF NECESSITY AND THEY WERE HAPPY TO GET A CHANCE TO MAKE IT UP TO ME. THEY DID A GOOD JOB AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME. I'M STILL OUT A LOT OF MONEY BUT GOING FORWARD I HOPE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Great job ! Sal has worked on all of our heads including the set that helped us win 2008 APBA Pro Stock National Championship. That's racing a 18 ft flat bottom boat at speeds over 120 Mph. Thanks Sal Flat Crazy. PS 89

These guys are very knowledgeable at their craft, but when it comes to customer service or being upfront about a timeframe, they are not honest. I've been waiting for my car for well over 5 months, and every week I'm told it will be done at the end of the week.

Simple request asked for quote on doing cycinder head. Not able to bring part in due to health issues. Although SAL was very receptive to getting new work, not so for his COMPADRE Raul, who was to busy for this job. Went elsewhere to people who are capable of the simples customer service task as returning phone calls!

they have had my motor for several years now and have been paid in full to rebuild it. I have been super patient with them to this point because I was rebuilding the entire car and was not in a rush. Now that I am ready to put the motor back in the car, I can't get it finished. Every time I call they tell me the guy I need to speak with just left for lunch or just stepped out etc, or they just don't answer the phone at all. When I do get to speak to someone they tell me "two more weeks". Now, after all this time, they are telling me I have a cracked head, and that they are having trouble finding one. I have gone online and am able to find one for my motor from many different sources. I need a straight answer and to have my motor finished, or I need my motor and my $1500 back so I can go somewhere else. It has seriously been several years

My 1997 Chevy 5.7 Vortec was rebuilt by this place. I gave them the job because of the price quoted me, (a lesson in you get what you pay for). Although the engine works fine many problems had to be addressed. Timing marks on the harmonic balancer would not line up. After letting them attempt to resolve the issue, they said the motor was running fine but couldn't explain why the ignition marks would not alien. Speculating, they installed the wrong part, probably came from a different motor. Easy to understand when I came by and seen the parts scattered all around the back of the shop, poor organization. Also missing were two of three exhaust bolts from each exhaust flange. The bolt holding the crank position sensor was missing and there has been an oil leak between the timing chain cover and oil pan from day one. I came upon this place because they share a similar name, West Coast Engines, (a completely different business), this is my original mistake. This place was too far to keep bring my truck back for follow up work, so I was left to my own abilities. Good luck

West coast sold me rebuilt 327 motor. Only thing good was the outside paint on the block. Day 1 motor install started knocking, joes came to see his work the excuse was he forgot to tighten the rockers. Fishieβ¦ I opened up the motor to see the work they did. I was sold a 327 used engine , cylinders were scored , lifter were cracked, oil pressure was low, oil pan was all warped , valve covers used, itβs not the moneys not all itβs about itβs the work β¦ court house was about to close them downβ¦ good luck to you all.

Been waiting for two months on my ford ranger motor 3.0 Still nothing. Been way too long. Don't get any updates or anything. Will change review once I receive the motor in good condition. They show no sign of work ethic

The owner rebuilt my dad's Mazda truck and put on the wrong head which ended up blowing the motor. After months of lying and "working" on truck he got mad at my dad for asking about the truck. When finally picking up the truck the owner refused to give him a receipt until we threatened to call the cops. Shady business wanted cash instead of card to not be liable and give a receipt. Don't even bother stopping by. Truck came back with broken atenna and dented bumper as well. UPDATE ** Truck is now leaking oil. Stay away from this shop !
