I can't recommend this shop enough. They are masters of their trade, particularly with complex electronics. They were the only ones who could diagnose a persistent, complicated fault in my plug-in hybrid Pacifica. What truly sets them apart is their integrity. They discovered my car was still under warranty, informed me, and sent me to the dealer for a covered repair. Their honesty and expertise are second to none. Highly recommended!

I came in for a simple check engine light and they let me know exactly what was wrong, how they would fix it, and how long it would take to fix it. They gave me a break down on what the problem was (evap leak) and assured me they could fix it no problem. They had amazing customer service and were always updating me on the status of my car and answering any questions i had. I am definitely coming back in the future for any services.

0 stars, Paid $8300 to rebuild top half of engine. Less than 50 miles and truck broke down. Dillon said it was the work they did that made the lower half of engine to go out. Now they want another $9100 to fix my truck which supposedly work came with 2 year 24,000 mile warranty! Alarm came on saying no oil detected turn off vehicle. Any lawyers out there?

On December 22, 2023, I brought my 2021 Kia forte in for a transmission fluid change. Even though the price seemed a bit high at almost $300, I decided to go ahead with the fluid change. I had previously brought my Ford there for quite a few years when I first moved to San Diego in 2018. A few days after the fluid exchange,, I was traveling down the freeway on 78 W., when a very loud noise came from under my car. I pulled over at the very first exit available. Pulled over, inspected the car and saw that the under carriage shield beneath the engine compartment was dragging on the ground. I took it to the closest auto repair shop nearby, Niko‘s, they were kind enough to take the car in and put it up on the lift immediately. After inspection, they said there was only one screw holding the cover on. I explained the situation that I had just had the transmission fluid changed. They said whoever put the cover back on didn’t put all of the screws back in to replace the cover. They were kind enough to fix it that same afternoon. I called West Escondido Automotive at the time of the incident. They asked me to bring it back to West Escondido Automotive for inspection. I laughed, I couldn’t drive this thing any further. It had to be fixed on the spot. As if I have time to take another day off of work, so that they can look at their own mistake. The service manager, Niko, who owns the shop spoke to the person at West Escondido Automotive. The person at West Escondido Automotive, who I spoke to accused me of having done something to my car. All I did was drive it after they changed the transmission fluid a couple days prior. They claimed that it would be impossible for one of their employees to have made this mistake. The truth is, the techs are paid per service, They are often enticed to rush through the work, not giving it that special care that they should at those prices!. If I treated my career that way, I would be fired. And the lack of customer support, please! I’ve been a loyal customer to them for a long time. Never again while I come to this shop. I can’t believe the way I was talk to on the phone. And because of their lack of quality control, their $300 transmission fluid exchange cost me over $400 and miss half a day of work! Nice way to run a business!

I called the Escondido location to get an estimate for my Lexus RX350 60K service. I went over the dealers recommended service items. Lexus quoted me $1200. They asked me to call back at the end of the day. They quoted me $2200. Why would I pay $1000 more than the dealers price. They obviously were not concerned about getting a new customer. So much for all your advertising when you are so overpriced.

Good customer service, however I paid $155.00 for a diagnostic and no one could tell me the problem or the code. I said it was most likely the fuel pump but they wanted 500$ more to continue. To me it's just a typical scam. To each there own, good luck.

The customer service at this shop is really GOOD! It felt like I was dealing with friends. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get work done because my car needed more work than expected. But they gave me a nice price on the diagnostic & had it done very quickly. They also offered financing which was really nice. Pretty cool shop! 💪🏾

Your work has been excellent, generally. I came to this opinion when I had a recurring inexplicable dead battery. I tried the dealer a few times, then a couple of other service centers, and they all failed completely to find the problem. You guys did! That by itself won me over (I had a theory myself about the problem and offered it to all the other places, and they brushed it off...but I was in the neighborhood of the correct answer that only your place discovered and fixed quickly) Since then you've been my go-to place and with few exceptions the work has been excellent, the prices reasonable. In particular, I've found you front desk staff to be extremely friendly and helpful and honest. To me this is rare! So praise them for me.

From the moment I went online to check West Automotive out, through check-out, these folks are NO JOKE- A #1-TOP NOTCH BUSINESS. The professionalism, courtesy, knowledge, transparency, friendliness, customer service was above and beyond my expectations! I felt safe waiting outside in the morning, the waiting room was very clean with coffee at the ready. My 2000 Ford F150 xl was repaired, detailed and I truly feel well taken care of. Went in for a CVT drain/fill and ReLEARN, cooling system pressure test and debug why the cooling fans weren't coming on( temp sender) for my Suby. Been here several times over the years. Overall a good experience at this shop. The front desk was friendly and the communication was great. What they did service was done well and in a timely manner. I think that this is a good shop, but the advice to go to several different places for diagnosing big problems remain true. They misdiagnosed the issue I was having with my Honda. Came in for engine noise, they recommended a few things, but I authorized only some of the repairs. Leaving the shop, I was under the impression that the car would be fine, just that it would run a little rough. But instead of running a little rough, it ran horribly, even stalling three times during the 18 minutes we had it back. Took it to a Honda dealer, and they verified what the shop had said, except for 1 thing. The shop didn’t notice that one of the cylinders were caked in carbon. It would cost more in labor to replace the engine than to clean out the carbon. So if I stuck with the shop, I would’ve paid a lot of money on repairs just to need even more expensive repairs on top.
