Had to get my car towed here. My belt snapped so I had to get a wholeee bunch of stuff fixed (also an older car) and they were honest and provided quick service- it only took them a day. My car is running and working amazingly. Staff were kind, knowledgeable, and helpful! This is now my auto body shop of choice and would recommend!!

Failed my inspection and told me I needed $3,500 - $5,000 of repairs to pass. Took it to another place and passed with zero problems. Another time I took my car in for an oil change and somehow, both my headlights burned out at the same time….odd coincidence (nearly impossible in fact). They refused to take any accountability and told me they could replace them for $200. I went to AutoZone and replaced them for $40. This place is without doubt a scam, save your money and go elsewhere.

AVOID THIS LOCATION!! Extremely disappointed with the experience at Woodie’s Midtown. I brought my car in after being told over the phone the repair would cost “22.” That figure was repeated multiple times, maybe assuming they meant $220, and no one ever clarified it actually meant $2,247. At no point was I given a written estimate or breakdown before the work began. When I expressed concerns about the several miscommunications, I was met with complete disrespect and no accountability. The store manager, Rodney, was unprofessional, dismissive, and condescending on the phone. Rather than trying to understand the miscommunication, he doubled down and tried to make it seem like it was my fault for misinterpreting their intentionally vague communications. There was no transparency, no written confirmation, and no respect for the customer at any point in this process. Their handling of my complaint showed a total lack of integrity and accountability. I would strongly advise others to avoid this shop unless you’re okay with unclear pricing, misleading communication, and unprofessional customer service. UPDATE: Despite their public reply claiming they’d reach out to resolve the issue, I never received any follow-up communication from the business. This response appears to have been written simply for optics, not actual customer care. I remain extremely dissatisfied with how this situation was handled.

I brought my car in for a new serpentine belt at 9am and Woodies had it done by 1 pm for a fair price. They did a full check of my car, fluids, brakes, alignment, ect. They drove me to and from their shop while my car was being worked on. I highly recommend this location for anyone living in the uptown/southend areas of Charlotte.

I waited 2 hours for an NC inspection. When I got to the shop I was told it was an hour wait for NC inspection which I was cool with that but after waiting 2 hours for NC inspection I notified the office that they need to set the expectation that if it's going to be a hour wait and it takes an hour for the NC inspection to let the customer know because I wouldn't have waited 2 hours when I was told it was only going to be an hour and it's actually over 2 hours. I got there at 9:45 a.m. and didn't get the vehicle back til after 12pm.

I am from out of town and while I was driving to Charlotte my oil light came on. I stopped at a different mechanic and they had told me my levels and pressure were fine and they think it is an oil sensor issue. I had also just gotten my oil changed 2 months ago, so I believed them. I made my way to charlotte and took my car to Woodies because of the good reviews online. I explained to them my problems and they told me they’d take a look. They call me back the next morning and they say my oil level is good, pressure is fine, no leaks, and there’s nothing wrong with my care, but they’re still charging me $200 for doing absolutely nothing. I ask them if they can replace my oil pressure sensor just in case and they tell me they can do this, and they also tell me they cannot guarantee it will work. They do this, and the total is about $400. While I’m driving home my oil light comes back on so I take it into my home mechanics. My mechanic tells me my oil level is dangerously low. These people sent me on a 300 mile drive with low oil levels even though they claimed it was at a good level. They’re either completely incompetent or scammers. Don’t come to this place.

Had an issue with a headlight. After inspection Received an estimate along with a quote for 20 other issues found that would only cost a mere $3000. Surprisingly didn’t try to oversell those services and focused on the issue. After replacing the bulb it turned out my car needed a different more expensive part. Part was charged at $525 despite it being available on autozone for $180. I have no issue with the reasonable labor cost. It is quite frustrating when service team says that $525 is “retail price” they claim that it is because it comes with 3 year service and warranty which “no one else offers”. I’d rather have the part at a fair price. The team is plenty nice and the service is very quick. As someone that doesn’t know much about cars because of the labor involved I didn’t have much choice. Just know if you go here you’ll be take care of but you will pay a substantial premium for it

Had a great experience at Woodie’s Auto Service with my 1997 Jeep Wrangler. They have been servicing my Jeep for years and always provide top service with trust. For this review they handled an oil change, new tires, a brake rotor, and a fuel injection kit. The team was honest, clearly explained what was needed, and never tried to upsell. Work was done on time, pricing was fair, and my Jeep is running and driving noticeably better. Highly recommend Woodie’s for reliable, professional service—especially for older vehicles.
