Mechanic refused to service my vehicle because the part that was replaced by me according to diagnostic code did not correct the problem and most likely mechanic couldn’t make money on that new part. He said that his refusal is due to “liability”. Shared with BAR.

Made an appointment and after the near 30 minute phone call they literally called back 3 minutes later and cancelled my appointment. Tried pushing me out nearly a week. But after talking with many other mobile mechanic companies I ultimately took the new appointment. Fair pricing will update after work is completed. Worth the wait. Mechanic was excellent. Best mobile mechanic service in Sacramento area.

Everyone was friendly from the person who took the appointment to the mechanic. My car had been sitting for 3 years which was not a problem for the mechanic. He gave accurate advice and was on time for the diagnostic and also for the repair. I paid less than quoted always a plus, especial when I checked my local repair shops and the price was fairly equal to what they were going to charge for same repair. I couldn’t be happier with their service. Haven’t had such great service in a long time!!

Wrench is really great. They come to you so you don't have to go to a dealer and just sit and wait. The really best part is they are cheaper then going to the dealer and their work is equal. Which means they are 100% better then these cheap oil change places or walmart. If you want to make sure your engine doesn't blow up stay away from those places. Call Wrench

These guys are most professionally awesome field techs that are specialist in the area of their expertise. If you fill out the required paperwork of what is wrong with your car right they don't send out a brake technician to do a diagnostic and visa-versa. And if you don't really know what is wrong just let the technician know and they w ill do show you and explain it also to you

He said it was 100% my alternator after i put a new one in and took it to the shop and it was NOT my alternator at all, it was a wire to my battery bad. Wasted money for a diagnostic and he was wrong, some of these mechanics are a joke. Next time I'll just go to the shop.

Been using their service for a while and never had an issue until recent. They replaced the part idle control valve that was called for service but the mechanic broke my purge solenoid . Mechanic said to go buy the part and put it on and it would work. Noticed that the car was also leaking coolant. Went and bought the part and car was not running right. Called them back and they said in order to send the mechanic out. I would have to book another diagnostic. I told them what happened and that they still have to book the diagnostic. I said okay but can they send another mechanic instead of the last one due to him breaking one of the parts on the car which I had to pay out of pocket for. Told me they can’t because the mechanic that worked on my car was familiar with it. Went ahead and okay it due to my car not running. Mechanic came out and said yes my coolant is leaking, mind you that the part that he replaced was connected to the coolant hose which he never put back correctly. The mechanic ran his scanner to see what the issue was. Told him that he needs to go back and double check his work because the car is not starting up at all. Told me he doesn’t know what’s wrong with it. Then I called my local auto repair shop to check and diagnosed it properly due to the car not starting anymore after the work was done by an wrench mechanic. Got a call the next day by the repair shop. Said there’s a few problems that was done incorrectly. First coolant hose was not connected back to the idle control valve. The second issue is that the intake was not even connected and the last issue was that whoever worked on the car messed up my wire sensor in the front and back of the engine. Mind you, the work that wrench had done costed over $400. Another $150 for diagnostic. $200 for the purge solenoid that I had to pay out of pocket. Then another $600 at the auto shop. All in all. When someone asks for a new mechanic due to the last mechanic not finishing up the job and breaking parts. You guys should of sent another mechanic instead per the request of the customer.

Worked fast, was affordable and very pleased. Replacing an AC Condenser and belts is no fun job and he did great. That was at least 8 months ago. Latest review as of Dec 2024. I requested a quote for replacement of plugs and almost 2 weeks later, have not heard a word.

Unfortunately, using wrench can be a gamble. I received excellent service from them several years ago, but recently, that wasn't the case. With my most recent service, the mechanic was late, didn't communicate about his lateness, and gave two wildly different quotes for the work I needed done. I scheduled with another wrench mechanic, only to learn the day of the appointment that he was unavailable. I tried to contact wrench several times by phone and email, but was unsuccessful. I ended up having to go with a different company, who completed the job for significantly less than either of the wrench quotes.

I’ve had the worse experience with this company. I’ve asked to have a supervisor call me three different times to solve an on going issue where I was over charged and still no call or resolution. A part from that I’ve also had the scheduled mechanic not show up TWICE! If you miss your appointment they will charge you $150, if they don’t show up they will only give $50 dollars off. If your mechanic doesn’t show up a second time there isn’t any further discount only an Apology and no real certainty if your mechanic will show up for your next scheduled appointment. Unacceptable! The errors on their end has cost me extra in car rentals and rides. They also don’t inform you when your mechanic isn’t coming you have to call them and wait for long periods of time on hold until you can get a customer service representative. I lost my appointment with another mechanic because I thought this mobile mechanic company offered a good price and the fact that I wouldn’t have to have to be Towed to a shop. I’m a single working mother of three and this whole process has been a nightmare and not worth it. Save yourself the stress and headache and go with a different company.

Did not complete the work they were supposed to do on my car. Called several times no response. The mechanic that came out was waiting on a part they never came back to put on the part. Told them my car was leaking they never came bsck to fix it. The first mechanic I had was great the second one did absolutely nothing.

I hired a Wrench tech to do a simple oil change in May before I moved across the country from GA to CA. Halfway through the road trip in CO, my check engine light came on and the car lost a vast amount of power (error code = drivetrain malfunction). After driving drastically below the speed limit for the remainder of the trip, I took my car to a BMW dealership in CA where they shared some really trouble diagnostics. The results "shocked" the BMW techs; the oil hadn't been changed "in a very very long time", resulting in a "crunched together" filter - driven by using aftermarket filters. They also discovered significant sludge build up. In everyday jargon, my engine was effectively destroyed. When I mentioned that I'd had my oil changed by a Wrench tech in May, I received this response from the BMW techs: "Two things may have happened: Either someone has changed the oil but not the filter for the oil several times, or someone said he changed the oil but actually just reset the light without doing any work." I shared this with Wrench on September 24th via email and included photos of the engine + oil filter, a written diagnostic from certified BMW techs and receipts detailing the work allegedly done by the Wrench tech in May. I have yet to receive an email back from Wrench, a month later. I'd hoped to resolve the issue offline, without need for public commentary, but I did not receive a response to my email. I have taken steps to pursue legal action, and am sharing this post widely in the hopes of saving another person (and their car) from the same fate.

Price was fair but the service wasn't great. The guy was in a rush because he had other jobs to get to. It was just putting on an alternator belt. He didn't bring the proper tools to even do it. He needed my husband's help with a job that we were paying for. I kind of wish we would have just spent money on the tool to get the job done. Or had it towed to a shop. This was our first time using this company and I don't think we will do this again.
