I had never used this shop before but called in frantic because my car was making funny noises and I needed to get back to Wisconsin. I called them up and he was able to fit me in and check out what was going on. He didn't notice anything bad and let me know what my next steps should be. If I would have cost me an arm and a leg to get it to a dealership and then more for them to tell me the same thing this shop did. I am glad I went to the 12th St Repair. I will use them again when I need work done!

Tom is an awesome mechanic. Most mechanics you go to these days seem more like salesmen. I came to Tom with an assumed wheel bearing issue and I needed an oil change. I told him that i was almost 100% certain it needed a new wheel bearing. When I got a call from him, he said that if there's anything wrong with it, it's not bad enough to need replaced and said he couldn't hear anything wrong with it! Most mechanisms would have seen that as easy money and went ahead and replaced it. Love Odie too! He's always ready to wait with you and get belly rubs.

We LOVE Tom! He treats us very well, and as a woman, he talks to me like I'm a person and not "the little Mrs." My husband had problems with his Ford pickup; Zimmerman Ford couldn't figure it out, and another shop in town charged $600 or $700, said it was fixed, but it WASN'T. Tom had the truck for a day and had it figured out! Plus, they have a cute little dog that will greet you when you come in!

The owner seems very fair and honest in his pricing and his work. If it doesn't need fixed he'll tell you and if he tells you it needs fixed then it does. It's as simple that and how all business should operate. For this reason he will continue doing well. His shop may not be flashy like a few, but he doesn't need to charge more just to impress you.
