Tom took care of me and let me bring my car in at the last minute to fix my flat tire even though they were about to close.

I was just thinking about this place from the repair I had done a few years ago. I went in for rear brakes and ended up to pads to calipers and rotors all around. They told me they wouldn't have let me leave because it's an unsafe vehicle If I didn't pay them to have the work done. I should have called the police to come up because I'm sure a business can't withhold your property from you but I did not call the police, I just paid the bill. Asked to see my unsafe parts and they were within a huge pile of other parts in a big metal bin so I didn't know which ones were actually mine. The tech also couldn't bleed my brakes properly until I came right back into the shop to show them that the vehicle needed to be turned off and then bleed the brakes, they let me leave with my brake pedal going to the floor with no brakes, I had to turn right back around and show them how to bleed brakes properly. I now I have a new vehicle and go to a dealership so I have no need to use this business anymore, just wanted share my previous experience. Not much of my experience here was positive. Sure, it was a while ago, but you get what you pay for.

As a regular customer of A to Z Auto, I can't say enough good things about them! Every visit, I'm greeted by their friendly and professional staff who always remember me and my car's history. They take the time to explain the repairs and maintenance needed, and I've never felt pressured or upsold. The quality of their work is consistently excellent, and my car always runs smoothly after a visit. Their prices are fair and the service is efficient. It's clear that they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in their work. A to Z Auto is the only place I trust with my car!

DO NOT GO TO A TO Z AUTO REPAIR — NEGLIGENT, DISHONEST, AND COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I dropped my car off at A to Z Auto Repair in mid-December for a new engine change all the components I bought were agreed upon things I bought myself. However me buying my own components was kept used against me as a dig or blaming instead of giving me solutions. Anyways I didn’t get it back until January 2nd. Since the day I picked it up, the engine was shaking and the check engine light was blinking. I brought this up to them multiple times and described in detail what was happening, but they kept brushing it off and telling me it was “fine.” This went on for six months, and the problem only got worse. They charged me $270 for an intake manifold gasket, claiming that was the issue. That part was selling for $60 at AutoZone. They said they couldn’t find one nearby and needed to get it from some OEM source, which already felt off. But after installing it, the exact same problems persisted. Nothing improved. They told me they were doing the repair as a “courtesy,” but they still took my money and did nothing to resolve the real issue. Every time I went back or called, I was constantly asking for updates or clarification. Most times, they would say “come back in two days” or avoid giving clear answers. I also repeatedly asked them to reset the oil change light, and they couldn’t even manage to do that until I brought it up on four separate occasions. Then in May, the car finally broke down completely—stuck in the middle of the street. I had it towed back to them, and after three more weeks in their shop, they suddenly told me the transmission is out and quoted me $4,000, including $2,400 for a used “low-mileage” transmission. When I asked how they didn’t catch this earlier—given that they had the car for a full month of March and I had described clear symptoms—they blamed me, saying I only mentioned the engine. That’s a lie. I wrote a detailed list of issues on their intake form, and described everything clearly when I dropped it off. They selectively addressed what was convenient and ignored everything else. I never once screamed at them. Never cursed. I showed up respectfully every time and made it clear that I was a student with limited time and money. When I finally raised my voice in frustration after months of being dismissed, I was told to “calm down.” That was after weeks of no updates unless I initiated the call, and after they had the car sitting in their shop for weeks. When I got the car back from their shop the final time, the tires were completely deflated. I had asked them before the AAA tow to inflate them, and they ignored me. After keeping my car for three weeks, they couldn’t even handle that one basic request. They also never gave me a full breakdown of the diagnostics. I was kept in the dark the entire time. They would just tell me vague things like “we’re doing this” or “we’re checking that,” but never explain what they actually found. I feel like they took advantage of the fact that I didn’t have deep technical knowledge and used that to avoid being held accountable. I am filing a report with the Better Business Bureau and leaving this review anywhere it can be seen. I don’t know how many other people they’ve done this to, but if you’re considering this place: don’t. They are unprofessional. They are evasive. They will waste your time and your money. And when their negligence catches up with them, they will shift blame instead of owning up to their mistakes. There are way more issues at foot that I did not include from the sheer volume of disrespect I endured from these people. Do not trust them. Do not leave your car here. It is not safe, and they do not deserve your business.

I want to start by saying that everyone I encountered at the shop was friendly and respectful, and I truly appreciated how especially kind they were to my son. That kindness did not go unnoticed and meant a lot to me. However, my overall experience with the actual repair work was disappointing and concerning. I brought my car in for a transmission replacement, and although they installed a used transmission, when they first told me my car was ready, I couldn’t even take it home. Serious issues showed up immediately — the car would not reverse properly, it moved backwards in park, and shifting gears was unstable. Because of these issues, I had to leave my car with them again. After they worked on it further, I picked the car up a second time, and it drove decently for about 2.5 weeks. Unfortunately, the same problems returned — the car was jerking and the reverse gear was failing again. I brought it back once more, and this time they kept my car for three weeks, with little to no communication unless I called them myself for updates. When I finally picked my car up, I was informed that my suspension would need work soon. As someone who is not knowledgeable about cars, I did not realize at the time how important a healthy suspension is to properly support a transmission. Now that I am more informed, I clearly see that placing a transmission into a car with a weak suspension is highly negligent. Before installing the transmission, they should have either inspected the suspension and informed me it needed repairs — giving me a proper estimate for the extra cost — or they should have refused to do the job if it couldn’t be done safely. Instead, they installed the transmission without properly addressing or notifying about the suspension issues, putting my vehicle’s safety at risk. Because of this, I now have to pay out-of-pocket to have another mechanic inspect my car to ensure it’s safe to drive. Which honestly I don’t have the money. I was not able to work extra hours because I had no car. While I am grateful for the personal kindness shown to me and my child, the lack of thorough inspection, poor communication, and major oversights regarding my car’s condition mean I cannot recommend this shop for serious or major repairs. I truly hope they take more time with future customers to ensure vehicles are properly inspected and necessary safety issues are fully addressed before performing critical work.

If you have a corvette do NOT bring it car here. They charge insane prices and will let your car sit for days. I had to pay for a tow truck to move the car and the tow truck driver said he is constantly towing corvettes specifically out of there. I’m sure A to Z is fine but the “corvette mechanic” running out of that shop is not good and will run your pockets. $1600 for a slave cyl, master cyl, and cable is not a normal price. Got quoted well under half at another shop. ALSO the tow truck driver told me they put it in gear after i SPECIFICALLY said not to because of the transmission issues. so they likely caused even further damage to my C4. so im out $125 for the towing fee. thanks guys!

A to Z saved my vacation! My brakes went out the morning before a 6 hour road trip. I called multiple mechanics in the area who immediately turned me down. Mina went above and beyond to move appointments around to get me in first thing. I also felt safe and respected throughout the whole process which is not always the case as a woman getting car work done. I highly recommend A to Z, kind hearted and honest people.

I got a check engine light while passing through Cleveland midway through a cross-country move (stressful!), but fortunately A to Z was able to immediately fit me into their busy Saturday schedule to run a diagnostic. Mina was incredibly helpful and educational—explaining the fault codes as well as the timeline it would take to get the part and complete the repair, as well as giving me a totally transparent evaluation of the potential damage that could be done to my engine if the issue went unresolved. The whole time, Mina was so friendly and instilled in me such a sense of confidence and trust. I never felt pressured to complete any work, and I had total confidence that Mina was looking out for my best interests. Thanks doesn't begin to express how grateful I am to this awesome shop and its staff!

I had a great experience with A to Z Auto. From start to finish, the team was professional, pleasant to work with, and communicated clearly throughout the process. Their pricing is very fair—no surprises or unnecessary upsells—and the quality of their work speaks for itself. Geno, the mechanic, was especially helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain what needed to be done and made sure everything was handled with care. It’s hard to find an honest, reliable auto shop these days, but A to Z Auto definitely delivers. Highly recommend!

I went to A to Z to fix my Range Rover first time costumer. The staff was very professional and very informative. They gave me fair price for suspension work. They were a few days out, but i didn't mind waiting. Got my car back, and it rides really well, no more noises. Highly recommend this place, will be back. Thanks again.

Editing again because I just picked my car up. I may have jumped the gun a little with my review. Similarly to the way they jumping in and pulled off the intake without communicating to us the codes they got did not match what we had, I posted a review without communicating to them about my displeasure. They showed me the parts they replaced, and so far it seems to be alright. Haven't taken it on the highway or anything, but my fiance is confident on it Editing because apparently they cant read. Multiple code readers contradict what they claim theirs said. Insulting the only one I took a picture of because they didnt like being called out is unprofessional. You can read this review and see I did not insult anyone, I only stated facts. You can click on my name and see I did not rate a whole bunch of auto places 1 star, I rated a company that left us stranded for 8 hours in a parking lot waiting for a tow 1 star, and an autozone that sold us parts that were incomplete. I rated one other shop 3 stars because my van came back in worse shape and I didn't know if it was what they did or not. If I could have proved it either way I would change my rating, but it's still getting looked at. Also, thanks for disregarding my statement that my fiance knows about cars. He doesn't like to take credit for the fact he was licensed in PA, but let it expire. I should add to this review that my fiance did call and approve the work, but somehow the ship still called him the next day asking for a decision. Even so, it was still taken apart prior to even asking him to do work on it. They told him they looked at the spark plugs that require removingnthe intake, so they had to have taken it apart before asking to replace them. So, the guy he told didn't even tell anyone he approved the work either. My logic is that they are refusing to communicate and this actual got their attention, because apparently talking to them doesn't get anywhere and they ignore what you tell them and do what they want anyways without saying anything until after they've done it. Also, everyone that I've told about what's going on agrees that it feels sketchy and that the shop should have contacted us prior to pulling apart the engine to look at spark plugs when they allegedly got different codes then the only code we got. Would rate zero if Google would let me. Drooped my car off Monday after my fiance called and they told him they'd squeeze it in Tuesday. Tuesday came around and they never called us. Wednesday the end up calling right when he's about to call and claim they conveniently "wrote his number down wrong" when we were in. The guy that wrote our info down kept looking at me weird and had super greasy hair and was freaking me out as well. Shocked I knew my license plate number and treated me like a child and gave me false praise for knowing 3 letter and 4 numbers. Well, the person tells my fiance they'll call him right back and the supposed tech calls him and tell him they took apart my engine because they were getting cylinder 1 and 3 misfires. We dropped it off with ONLY a cylinder 4 misfire code. It was the only code we got except when we were cleaning the throttle body, then it said multiple cylinder misfires. They claim it didn't have a cylinder 4 misfire. Luckily, I have proof in the form of me taking a picture of my reader saying cylinder 4 misfire. We checked it with TWO different code readers. My fiancé's is a better reader and also only said cylinder 4 misfire. So conveniently they took apart my engine before asking us to confirm so we can't make them show us the new codes it didn't have at all before and that it no longer had the only code it was showing. I do not believe a single word out of their mouths at this point. Theybwant to charge us over 500 to change things we already changed on the cylinder that was misfiring and they already had started the process without even asking. It feels like they're just trying to steal money from us. My fiancé actual knows things about vehicles and has taught me enough to know they're being very sketchy.

So I go to the shop because it's close to where I was at the time and it seemed like a big shop so I get there very long time before I'm seen and when I'm finally seen I tell the person what's going on hey give me some reports of things I already know like my engine mount was loose and the car needed some kind of combustion diagnostics. Eventually they say they will check it out and call me back never called they said they won't do any work before they consult me that was a lie so basically they mounted my engine with the holes not designated for mounting cuz obviously that would take work so they drilled their own holes in both of those and that wasn't even the main work they just basically did the easiest thing and didn't even do it correctly they were supposed to check the car they never gave me any answers they basically just have a license to take your money it basically costing me a little over $500. And the guys parting attitude was rude basically holding my car for ransom

Car has been having issues for a year or so. But issues haven't been consistent enough to diagnose till recently. Car was having trouble accelerating and staying on. Was very lucky able to replace the alternator pretty quick. Prior mechanics that I been seeing for years took days without even touching my car. This is my new place to go, good people that know what's up. Car is running so much smoother and healthier now

I had a situation where my car stalled out of nowhere. And check engine light came on shortly after. I was stopped at a light. I went to autozone around 2:16pm to get a quick diagnostic so i know about little of what the problem is. I received paperwork and the only code it thrown was the PO344. I have a great mechanic i trust and everything for 10 plus years because i dont let just or trust just anyone to touch my car. So i decided to stop here and try to get my car fixed quick as i am a delivery driver. That is my job meaning without my car i have no money no nothing. These people do not greet you. Waited 20 mins or so before being even acknowledged.. all i hear some rude guy constantly barking orders and being disrespectful to other workers or family there. Couldnt grt my car in same day because they happened to forget about having my car to look at and they already had possession of my keys. So i was freaking out when the shop was asking me what did i need after checking in and going to el jalapeno next door to waste time. Finally look at my car and says he agrees with my diagnostic i told him i received from autozone but cant do the work until tomorrow. So i come back the next day and im there at 9:20am. Told its going to be about 90 mins for the parts to get delivered. So i wait. About 12:55 i was able to leave the shop.. but 2 minutes down the road.. not only my check engine light comes back on .. i also have 3 other dash lights that HAVE NEVER BEEN ON IN MY CAR IN 6 years i had my car. So i am basically out 6 houra of time… $250 and a car that still messed up and taking more gas than before!… I DONT TRUST THIS SHOP AND WILL NEVER BRING MY BUSINESS HERE! After getting 2 new camshaft position sensors installed this is the outcome. I will update because i am now going to get another diagnostic to see what this one reads… smh 140th and elsienna is where ill continue to bring my business even if i have to miss work to WAIT FOR MY MECHANIC I WILL FROM NOW ON!!!!
