These people really tried to get one over on me. They found I needed a fuel pump on my 2006 Equinox. They texted me with a price of $1,847. However, when I called to make sure they had the right amount, I was told over the phone that it was a little over $1,600. When I told the advisor how much I was told through text, he said they may have added on the diagnostic fee, so the total would be over $1,700, but not the $1,847. I informed him that I would not be having them fix the car, because I was quoted way less at two other shops. Needless to say, I went to Lucky Auto Repair in Lansdowne and they were able to fix my car for $922. I guess they figured since I was a woman, because mechanics do this at times, that I wouldn’t be smart enough to know something about car repair. Or it could be that they over charge. Always get two to three quotes before getting your car fixed. I would suggest going some place else, other than here.

My first encounter with A1 auto was getting a water pump repair July/aug. They were way more affordable than the dealership and my vehicle was done the same day. They even caught another issue that I was able to get done the same day at little cost due to the repair work they were already doing. I came to write this review because I discovered that my windshield wiper fluid hood connects(dk correct name) were both broken off. No I wasn’t certain when it happened nor what caused it but I knew the last time I had service was at A1 so I called them last week and I acknowledged that time has passed. Yet, they still told me I could bring it in. I brought it in today without any expectations and Scott took care of it, free of charge(WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT AT ALL, I WAS PREPARED TO PAY) he did it in the name of customer care and that was awesome of him. I will be gladly utilizing A1 auto, especially after finding out today that they use warranty companies such as fidelity and endurance.

I was there for my car inspection as I moved to MD from PA. I thought it would take longer, or I might need to drop my car there and pick it up the next day. But the service was very speedy; my car was done in about 45 minutes. The staff was very cooperative. I would say this auto shop is an excellent place to get your vehicle inspected.

I had to go to A1 twice for different vehicles. My SUV they fixed perfectly they fixed the axle and did a tune up. I had no issues with the repairs and my car drove better than before. The second time I used my warranty to try to fix the transmission but it was denied. I had trouble paying the balance and they worked with me to ensure I could pay and get my truck off the lot before incurring more fees. I will definitely take any car there for repairs in the future. The people are so very polite and are happy to assist and l they reassure you when your freaking out. Thanks A1 for trying to assist me I really feel like y'all did everything you could do to help and I forgot the mechanic name but he knows who he is thanks for the heads up about the advertisement.

Good morning, I have been coming here for the past 8 years for inspections for Uber, and Lyft, Art told me I needed a new tire, so I got a brand new right front tire, now with the surprise I had to paid a reinspection fee $29.00, okay fine. Normally they go out to the car and inspect the tire, then I pass the inspection Mr. Art wanted the car in the bay to inspect the tire, I said why don’t you come out and look at the tire, no we got to bring it in, such an inconvenience and the service sucks, Mr. Art needs to have some sense of compassion, and at least accommodate things

No clean place for customers to sit, so you’ll have to wait in a dirty broken car with pumped in hot air.. I communicated to them about my car shaking, and how I thought so needed a tire rotation. They were done pretty quick within my requested time frame. So, I got an inspection and a tire rotation. They communicated I didn’t really need a rotation, and it wasn’t the primary reason my car was shaking. But they did a tire rotation with ‘minor adjustments’ and charged me 121 dollars. Then told me that after they went ahead and did it, knowing they were ripping me off 🫠 I feel like I need to keep looking for a trustworthy auto repair person.

I have used this mechanic several times and spent thousands with them to keep my 2011 Volvo C30 in good condition. But something has certainly changed that has resulted in my need to search for another option. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. I dropped off my car at 2am after it overheated and dropped off the key with a typed letter instructing them to address the overheating problem and change the oil. I had conversations during the estimating process with Art who gave me the quote of over $2000 to get the requested repairs done. I asked if there was a way to save money with non-oem parts. he stated he would look into it to see if thats an option. Next I got a text to approve the work for the similar estimate so I thought that the non oem part thing did not work out. When I went to pick up the vehicle I confimed that they had used OEM but they said they did not. I asked about the total why was it not discounted and they said well it was, but the difference was under $100. I asked how could it be with a difference so small they could not have let me know so I could have opted for OEM, they just said we did what you asked, saved you money. I felt so enraged. When I got home and looked at the invoice I also noticed that the oil change was not charged, i called only to confirm they incompetently forgot. HOwever, they did not forget to add a list of over $4000 of additional work the car needed, never having a conversation with me regarding those services or how soon I would need them. I told them the least they could do for my travel back to their shop is give me an oil change free. They said the owner makes that decision. I have been calling to speak to the absent owner "paul" when Art finally told me he is not very involved and through a phone conversation he agreed to discount the oil change. He did not even bother to return any of my three calls. People DO NOT go here its not what it was.
