These guys are awesome. Had a power steering return line replaced at another shop that broke a month after installation. The people at Bob Sumerel fixed the part, informed me what was wrong with the bad part, gave me the actual bad part to show to the other shop, and offered to speak to the other shop to explain to them what went wrong with the installation. Everyone was exceptionally pleasant to work with and did a great job answering any questions. Best of all my car was repaired quickly! They had my car for only a little over a day. Great work. Will definitely be taking my cars here again!

Todd was incredible! I'm traveling through and had mechanical issues. He was clear how far backed up they are, but bent over backwards to find an alternative location to have me towed for quicker service. Can't say enough for his kindness and for ensuring I got the help I needed. Thank you, Todd!

Great little shop here! My son had an issue with his car starting, so we had AAA tow it down to AAA Bob Sumerel downtown Cinci on Court. Since we dropped it off close to 5ish, Todd and Larry looked at it first thing the next morning and called me with their estimate. Since they had got in new alignment equipment I had them do that as well as put on a new set of tires. The prices were great, the service was great, and we're very happy they turned it around in a day. I highly recommend these guys and this location!

I made an appointment online for an oil change, and when I took it to them, they told me they couldn't take my car. It took 2 more times of rescheduling (in person) for them to finally get my car in. I just recently took my car somewhere else for an oil change, and they informed me that the bolt was jammed from whomever worked on my car before. When they finally got it off, they realized the screw had been stripped, and will not stay in place, resulting in needing a new oil pan. My experience at Bob Sumerel has been unpleasant and very disappointing. I do not recommend taking your vehicle to be serviced at this location.

Big shout out to Todd and David B for their great work, professionals, and kindness. They let me know what was wrong with my car and ordered parts. Once they got under the hood, they realized it wasn't the whole system that needed replacing, just a minor part. They made the fix and let me know. Their honesty saved me about $800. They also have a great turn around time as anytime I need a repair, it's done in a work day.

These guys are angels on earth. We had an engine breakdown while traveling. When we attempted to get towed back home to another state, things fell through and were delayed, and the gentlemen at the counter went above and beyond to get us set up with a new tow home so we could get back in time. Needless to say, they made a very stressful situation so much better. We can’t thank you enough!

Great experience and very helpful staff. The gentleman at the front desk went above and beyond to help us out and made sure to get our car back to us as quickly as possible. Highly recommend if you live down in the area.

Recently, I experienced squeaking and grinding noises from my brakes. Since Bob Sumerel Tire & Service had replaced my tires previously, I reached out to them for brake service. The staff scheduled a brake check for the next morning. Following the inspection, I was advised to replace the front and back brake pads and rotors, the front calipers, and the brake fluid. I agreed to the recommended repairs, relying on their expertise due to my limited automotive knowledge. The total charge for the service was $1,743. For anyone considering using their services, I've attached a photo of the invoice to provide a reference point for the costs and services provided. I've given 3 stars because I'm unsure of the value, but the service provided was attentive and professional. If you believe the pricing was fair, I would recommend their service to you.

Had a flat tire. After AAA insisted towing to this location after close had to wait over the weekend. Called the Friday before to explain the situation. No one made note of this so no work had been done on it when I called Monday morning. After confirming that work needed to be done, an hour and a half later I call and they forget again what needed to be done and lost my phone number. I had to call them back each time for a status update and they would leave you on hold for 20-30 minutes at a time. When I finally got my car back it was picked through by somebody and items were missing. Do not go to this location they are understaffed and under equipped to keep your property safe and make sure it's taken care of in a reasonable time. Edit: reached out to them as the response below suggested over a month ago. I got a nebulous "your concerns have been forwarded for review" with no followup. Make no mistake, these are empty platitudes. Look at the below comments, I am not the first car to have a break in at this location. This is a problem that has gone on for years. They will not change and should never be trusted to care for your property as such.

I’ve come here before for a tire emergency, the staff was fantastic and helped me out in a pinch so I decided to come back when I was due for an oil change. I scheduled an appt online, arrived at my scheduled time and was told they couldn’t take my car because they don’t follow the online scheduler and that I had to arrange a time to come back later that day. All I needed was an oil change.. when I came back at my new appt time I was told it would be 90minutes, which seems a little long for only an oil change especially when I had an appt. Not to mention the quote for the change was over $80. I think they’re great for tire and other fixes, but for an oil change, I would have been better off going to a drive thru place for price and time reasons. I’m not taking this place off my list, but won’t be coming back for this type of service.

Just got done picking my car up from the shop, needed brakes, rotors, and a few other odds and ends. Todd was incredibly helpful over the phone with what needed to be done to get my car back into proper shape while keeping cost in mind as well. This is my second time bringing my car to this shop and I will continue to do so in the future! Everyone's incredibly friendly, service turnaround times are quick and the shop is very responsive. Highly highly recommend!

Went to the location downtown for an oil change and when I got my car back there was a loud sound coming from the car. I alerted them about the problem. The first thing they said was let me take a look at it and I will let you know how much it will cost. I said Sir no you will not. My car did not sound like that when I brought it in. The audacity of these.. They unhooked my muffler. Told me some lame story about what had happened. As a female, why is it every time I take my car somewhere this type of mess happens. Now they done created a problem. Public announcement: Ladies be careful. Standing on business. No stars

They didn't make the sale today on tires (I'm going to wait after my vacation to make a big purchase) but their customer service ensured I will be buying my and my wife's tires there. Every single employee I encountered on 06/20/25 was extremely helpful and kind. They explained what was needed with honesty and without pressure. Bonus there is a really good burger place around the corner to accommodate the wait.

Would give 0 if possible. 3 days to patch a tire and check fluid levels. They even got my car into the garage to work on it. And when I came to pick it up, said that there’s still a nail in my tire and the guy that said he was going to patch it, just didn’t (and they were cool with me just leaving like that?) So I waited 2 full days for them to fix the initial problem I even brought it in for. As an added bonus they are super condescending and talk down to you for simply asking what the timeline is to fix something as simple as this. Would do it myself but I work 3 jobs and have 0 time.

This garage deserves a 0 or even a negative rating as they tried to take advantage of me because I was coming out of town and stranded. I had my car towed there on Monday because it did not have power to move although it could start. I did not receive the diagnosis until Tuesday afternoon when I was told they are still looking into the problem but will be at least $3000. On Wednesday morning I went to the garage and Larry told me the 3 catalytic converters were blocked and needed to be replaced. I also needed new oxygen sensors and the entire exhaust line had to be replaced. The minimum estimate was between $3000 and $4000. The kicker was that even after the fix there could be other things that may have to be fixed, meaning more money. When I came back to the Airbnb where we were staying, I called the owner and told him about the quote for the car repairs and sought his opinion on what to do. He encouraged me to have my car towed to a garage he goes to. Apparently, his son had a similar experience with a AAA garage where he was quoted $3000 for a job that cost him about $300 at another shop. I called his garage on Wednesday but they were booked until the next Monday. They encouraged me to go to the Midas on Reading road. I called the Midas and they had a spot that afternoon so I got my car towed there. By the end of day Wednesday my car was fixed and driving well. The shocker was that the car was only missing an intake valve. The total cost including the part, labor and taxes was $112. The 3 catalytic converters were not blocked and I did not need a new exhaust line. I even argued with the Midas shop if they were certain that they had the diagnosis right. Surprisingly they did guarantee the car will get me home because the problem was fixed. On Friday we made the 8 hour drive back home to Toronto, Canada and the car drove smoothly with the AC on full blast. I do not usually write reviews but the disparity in the diagnoses between the two garages and the cost difference was such that I had to write this review because it could help someone from out of town who runs into car trouble. If you are out of town, always seek a second opinion if you get a quote from this AAA garage.

My wife and I had a blowout on Interstate 74 about 50 miles west of Cincinnati. After I got the temporary spare on we called the hotel we were staying at to see if they could recommend a place we could buy a new tire. They recommended AAA Tire and Auto Service in Cincinnati. We called and Larry McIntosh told us he would be open until 6pm and as long as we got there before then he could take care of us. We pulled in around 5:45 and Larry told us he was glad we made it. He had our car up on the rack, the spare taken off, a new tire on, the spare properly stowed and back down off the rack in about 20 minutes. It was just unbelievable to have this kind of service. We asked him if there was a place we could eat and he said there was a great Asian place about four doors down. He then said he was closing so we could park our car in his parking spot while we had dinner. What a great gentleman. I really cannot say enough about this place. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Thank you Larry for your great service.

13/10 recommend these guys OVER ANY OTHER PLACE IN THE CITY! Didn’t cut corners or charge me just because, so much so that they drove me to an auto zone to swap out my battery so I wouldn’t have to pay for a new one and they didn’t even charge me for the trip!!!! Definitely not taking advantage of their customers and helping out in every way, shape, and form! Kyle keeps its real and his workmanship is TOP NOTCH, Cyrus keeps you in the loop, and Larry keeps everything in order! If I could give 100 starts I would!!!

On the Wed before Thanksgiving I had a friend whose daughter was on her 11th day of stay at UC hospital. When she went to leave, her car tire was almost flat. Her hubby drove 90 minutes one way to help her. I live in town and we called AAA on Court St and asked if they could help, it was 5pm. LARRY SAID YES! With the tire slightly inflated, I followed her hubby to AAA and they replaced the tire, it was cost effective and no one was watching the clock. It did not matter the holiday was within a hour and they would be closing for a long holiday weekend. They were friendly, helpful to customers in need, we were not the last to arrive with an "emergency" in order for mom and daughter to be able to get home once released from the hospital. Larry, I have retold the story and would recommend you and your team. THANK YOU. You and your team successfully helped and deflated a high anxiety situation. Mom and daughter got to travel home within a couple days, no hiccups.
