Got a quote for alignment which was higher than most other places $140.00 then once the job was almost complete he said they needed a couple of hours labor extra and charged another $550.00 dollars for adjustments which was already included in the alignment fee.. not a good shop very disappointed in AAA Tom is not a honest mgr... The $550.00 was a estimate for all new parts that they supplied and installed.... They did not provide the parts or install them... Someone who is honest did .. and he doesnt work at AAA. They figured they should get paid also... Wow ! What a crooked outfit

Paid near 3000 was on pricer side ...a little disappointing as a AAA member also frustrating my fluids not topped off no windshield wiper fluid they replaced wipers..but no fluid . Called other shops had warrenties.. much lower

Poor communication, wrong diagnosis (it was not the ECM, but actually a damaged wire which communicates to the onboard computer if the car is in park or not allowing it to start), over two weeks of the shop saying we are still troubleshooting it still (Making wild guesses as to what the problem was), no apology from the manager…. I took the car to Toyota who diagnosed the issue the next day (End to end less than 24 hours to have my issue resolved plus an oil change and tire rotation!). The cost based on AAA shop guessing was going to be around $2100. Toyota cost was around $500 to replace damaged wires, diagnosis, and ECM reprogramming (since AAA wiped the existing programming) with a spot on diagnosis. Worst experience ever with a shop who poorly represented the AAA brand. Avoid this shop for mechanical issues!

About 2 weeks after the shop had done a service package including oil change, oil pressure warning lights appeared. I returned to the shop in middle of busy day there. They insisted that I leave my car; they would look for the problem asap. They paid for a ride home. The shop located a crack in the oil filter. They replaced the filter and topped the oil. All this was done cheerfully and rapidly at no cost to me. Fantastic services after the sale.

I went here over a year ago to get my oil changed and see if there was any necessary car maintenance. It was my first car and I was trying to be responsible. I gave them $3,400 for replacing the timing belt and whatever else was needed. Long story short, they put the oil cap on backwards. At least that’s what I was told. They did the job improperly and this resulted in my engine being blown. Of course, they did not take responsibility (which maybe they weren’t the cause…maybe) but they didn’t offer to refund anything. I had to replace that car because they had determined it wasn’t safe to drive… but you know, it wasn’t because of anything they did. This has been bothering me for the past two years. Please be aware that if they can’t do a simple oil change, don’t trust them with anything more complicated. I wish I hadn’t.

We had a tire pressure alert as we were about to get ready to go to LA. My wife asked me to get it checked and the closest AAA car care place was right across the street. The manager Tim Olin came immediately to assist and checked all 4 tires pressure. Not only he didn’t charge us anything but also marked the tire which had a nail in it. He saved us from having an accident or a flat tire on the highway in the middle of day. Thank you for your help Tim and God bless you. What a relief🙏🏼 Tom Olin was very helpful and responsive to provide professional advice timely and accurately finding a solution.

My battery was getting ready to die and I called a few local places and then remembered that I may have installed a AAA battery in my truck. I called AAA and they told me that I could schedule a truck to come to my place but could they not give me a price quote for a new battery over the phone; however, the very helpful person on AAA's phone told me that Tucson had a physical shop here in town. I called them and spoke to Tom who gave me a great price quote and made an appointment for the next morning since their mechanics had already left for the day. After he tested the battery and looked up my records, he told that it was still under full warranty and I paid nothing! He got me out of there in less than 15 minutes. Tom and the other 2 gentlemen at the counter could not have been nicer and cooler!!!!!! I highly recommend AAA's shop on Tanque Verde 100%!

These guys are broken my car twice, done an oil change on it and left the oil filter unscrewed leaking oil everywhere three times, but I decided to give him another chance today. Booked an appointment a week ago showed up for my appointment and it’s double booked and I gotta wait two hours… I gave you eight chances that’s more than enough… Never again ::Update:: They responded with a hidden comment/request on Google with questions and asking me the email them the answers. I will not email them but I will answer their questions publicly… Yes they broke my car twice, they broke my hood latch and messed up my air-conditioning. They broke the hood latch probably by slamming the hood, no idea how they broke the AC clutch since they were not working on it. Yes they have left the oil filter housing loose on my vehicle three times causing me to have to return there to have it installed correctly with new O-rings, that they tried to charge me for, but if they had installed the ones that come in the oil filter kit correctly the first time they wouldn’t have had to eat those O-rings. Regarding the “overpriced” part of the review, I was talking to them about a transmission fluid and filter service. They quoted me over $400 for it while having a sign right in front of my face for a 4 fluid and filter change (brake fluid, transmission fluid, coolant, and power steering fluid) for that exact same price. When I asked them about that they told me it doesn’t apply to my car. For reference the transmission fluid and filter service at the dealership cost $100 LESS than the price they quoted me…

To be fair, my family’s experience started off bad from the time we received a AAA battery installation on Monday (01/26). However, this AAA repair shop only managed to add insult to injury after charging us $510 for a reprogrammed PCM (in addition to the $322 battery installation) and returned to us a car that after 4 days of use had to get towed back to their shop for the same initial issue. Every step of the way the team members ensured us the battery would fix the car, the PCM reprogram will fix the issue. We were even told the vehicle was under warranty for 2 years so if anything happens they’d handle it. Well, low and behold a $198 key fob was the issue (according to their “system”) and you guessed it, the FOB isn’t under warranty and would in fact have to be paid for by us… We were so uncomfortable with the run around we were being given that we paid Bronco Towing to pick up our Jeep from this shop and take it to Larry H Miller on 22nd. We’ll also be paying another $215 for a new diagnostic to be ran since the first diagnostic didn’t resolve the issue at AAA and could be completely incorrect. We felt this AAA shop, along with the people running it, really lacked in authenticity. Because of our experience we’ll no longer be customers of AAA as a whole.

Tom was very helpful. He knows a lot about cars and explained the situation well. He was very gracious and eager to help. The only concern that I had was that the office was so busy that I had to wait up to 20 minutes to speak with Tom. Also had to wait a long time to get a call about updates for my car. The total time my car was in the shop was about 5 days, but the work they did seemed satisfactory. 5 Days is a long time. Also, they wanted to do $6k worth of work on my car but I only authorized $2K. This was for oil, battery, new front tires, struts and alignment. Seemed reasonable but I was later told that I overpaid.

The other day my car wouldn’t start after driving to Tuscon for an appointment. I had to get my car towed to the repair shop and I was met with Tom who was AMAZING. He was very understanding of my situation and being stuck out of town without a car. I did have to stay overnight, however it was done by 10am the next morning. I highly recommend Tom and the team at AAA on Speedway. I have taken my 65 Mustang to several different automotive shops for repairs with little or no positive results. In a couple cases, my car ended up with more issues when I picked it up than it had going into the shop. At AAA, a diagnostic process was used to identify specific issues, and I was given a comprehensive report. The mechanics there addressed the problems in a timely manner and with a very reasonable charge. If you have a classic car, or any car, and are looking for a reliable team for repairs, AAA Auto Repair Center is the place to go!
